  1. Hello, How do I import .NIF files to Blender? I am trying to get a mesh to work in the creation kit and I need to create a collision mesh for the .NIF but Blender is a piece of **** and can't import .Nif files. However there is, apparently, a way to do it, but apparently there is also no official Skyrim support for it. Also, how do I even GET the custom mesh into creation kit as an actual thing? It's a custom creature mesh (with textures etc.) and I want to put it in CK but I have no idea how to do it and all the guides are really convoluted, don't go into much depth, and generally aren't very helpful at all since they assume you already know a lot about Blender, which I don't. I've been through many guides, none of them helpful, none of them telling me what I need to know. I tried installing blender 2.49, python, etc. but I'm having no luck. I really wish I had someone who could do all this for me so I could focus on building my dungeon myself, but of course nobody helps and nobody cares. Every time I ask for help on here no one ever responds or gives a useful response, so it's all very frustrating to say the least since the only person I can rely on is myself.
  2. Hello, today I tried to create a custom NPC for my mod. I wanted to give him a tremendous amount of health of, say, 2,000,000 HP, but I ran into problems. First of all, when I try to adjust the health offset, it caps at about 32700, and when I auto-calculate the stats his health goes into negative numbers. When I set it to scale with the PC's level, and set his level to 2900, his health automatically goes into negative numbers for whatever reason. However I did notice that when I loaded him up in-game with a calculated-health of about 32000, his health got boosted up to about 527,000 due to the Deadly Dragons mod, which I had previously set to increase all enemy health by 1500%. What this showed me is that, somehow, in some way, it is possible to boost the health of NPCs, maybe through scripts, although because I am really new to this whole process, I have no idea what to do. So, I am wondering if there is a way to increase an NPC's health to be in the millions, instead of being capped at 32000, be it through scripts, or if I am making a mistake. Any help would be a relief.
  3. Hello, I want to create a boss-type NPC that has a massive amount of health, extremely high skills, resistance to damage etc. However, when I try to give the NPC more health (100,000 or 200,000 for example) it does not go above 32700-ish. This is when I increase the Health Offset, since it won't let me increase the Base Health as it's greyed out. I've tried looking around for a solution but there isn't one, so if anyone can help i'd be grateful. Also, I would like to know how to attach custom sound files to an NPC, to replace the default battlecries and speech.
  4. I am making a dungeon mod from scratch in the CK based on the raid Naxxramas from World of Warcraft. It is a massive floating crypt filled with many undead horrors. You can have a look at the screenshots of my progress on my Nexus profile. I could go on about it, but I'll get straight to the point: I need help! I could use someone who can create armour and weapons for the dungeon, specifically some of the Tier 3 sets etc. but more importantly I need monster models for various enemies, including but not limited to: Abominations (flesh constructs) - http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/6/6c/Frigid_Abomination_Attacker.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080718112331 Slimes (living ooze) - http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/d/d6/Plague_Slime.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090430180828 Unholy weapons (animated objects) - http://www.wowwiki.com/Unholy_%22Weapon%22 Nerubian Crypt Lords - http://www.todowow.com/wp-content/uploads/naxxramas-anubrekhan-guia-estrategia.jpg Nerubian Crypt Stalkers - http://www.wowarchives.us/monster-guide/images/7460_85_21-nerubian-crypt-lord.jpg Wights: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/3/3f/Wight.JPG/revision/latest?cb=20070903115936 And boss models including: Grobbulus - http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/d/d2/Grobbulus.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20081015194955 Gluth - http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/70105 Thaddius - http://www.foederati-wow.com/modules/eqdkp4/plugins/bosssuite/games/WoW/images/bosses/big/thaddius.gif Kel'Thuzad - http://www.paperspencils.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/KelThuzad.png Loatheb - http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/4/4d/Naxx2.jpg I will handle everything else - building the dungeon, navmeshing, scripting, quests, voices etc. etc. and maybe if I have time i will help with the modelling and whatnot. So I'd probably be doing most of the work anyway. This is a thing I've wanted to do for a long time, and it's not overly ambitious like a lot of mods since it's only a dungeon (and a couple of quests and things), so it's not that much work, but it's still a lot for one person to do since Naxxramas features a lot of creatures that have very unique models that simply lack a parallel in Skyrim. I know it's a longshot to ask for help, almost pointless, since no one really gives a damn about my mod and no one ever helps anyway, but I could really use the help because it's a lot of work and I can't realistically do it all on my own. I mean, I could, but it would take so long it wouldn't be worth doing, since I'd have to build the dungeon, navmesh it and everything else and THEN learn from the beginning how to create models for skyrim, how to texture, how to animate, etc. etc. The only way I would do it if no one helped would be to rip models from WoW, which I would rather not do since a) it would prevent me from uploading it onto the Nexus due to it being frowned upon here and b) it would probably look weird and wrong. Anyway here it is and now you know so if you're willing to help or learn how to create models and help then please let me know. If I can't get any help it could well end up that this mod never gets made. Feel free to track my progress with the mod on my Nexus Mods profile by checking out my gallery which i update frequently as I progress with the mod, and if you like anything show your support by endorsing and commenting since feedback is very important.
  5. I just wanted to let everyone visiting this thread know that my work on Naxxramas in Skyrim is proceeding well, and I am making a lot of progress. Please have a look at my Nexusmods profile to see screenshots and videos of my work. If you like it, please endorse the image and leave a comment - feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Also about this mod... unless you use the sound files from WoW, it's not going to be authentic enough. I highly recommend using the music and ambient sounds from WoW for your mod.
  6. I need to scale an object, a skull specifically, so that it is very, very big. However I can't scale it beyond 10.0000. I was wondering if there is a way to remove this restriction and make the object even larger?

  8. Are you a moderator? No? Then stop trying to enforce the rules please. If there was a problem I am sure a moderator would have stepped in by now since this post has been here over a month. My project definitely falls under "For personal use only" since I am using it for a non-profit endeavour that does nothing but respect and honour Blizzard's excellent work on the raid Naxxramas, and I am not selling it or, as I must clearly say for the third time, making any money off it. If you have a problem for whatever reason with me putting music and sounds from WoW in a mod when I clearly have permission to do so then don't download it when it's done. I'm not making any money off this project, it's taking time out of my life and I'm uploading it for free and here you are whining at me about trivial nonsense. Here I am asking for help in creating this dungeon and you come here and give me hassle instead. Shame on you.
  9. Actually you can use sound files from WoW as long as it's not for profit, you should read up on it.
  10. Update: I have finally repaired and upgraded my computer, so work on the mod will begin again shortly.
  11. Unfortunately the new motherboard was DOA so gonna send it back and buy a new one in a couple of weeks along with a bunch of other components so until then there will be no progress unfortunately.
  12. I want to create scripted boss fights for my Naxxramas mod. Could someone please explain how I would do this and, moreover, how I would make a certain voice file play at a certain point in a fight. I was also wondering how to make enemies spawn in increasingly difficultwaves as part of a boss fight, and also how to give an enemy more tthan 32000 health, which seems to be the Max in CK.
  13. Update: have been temporarily set back a few days thanks to a broken motherboard, hopefully the replacement will arrive tomorrow and then I will be able to crack on with it; so far I have laid down the floorplan of the military quarter, have completed up to Razuvious and have begun construction of the next part.
  14. Deadly Dragons and Deadly Monsters, plus Skyrim More Spawns, and a mod that increases respawn rate. Set the enemies in game to have 1500% more health, and increase their damage, armour and resistances as you wish. Prepare to get your butt kicked unless you've mastered alchemy, blacksmithing and enchanting.
  15. I didn't cut it, I used the silence audio button. Maybe I should fade it in and out?
  16. Okay I tried that, and what happened is that it shortened the track to stop at the new ending but the popping sound remained.
  17. I had a go and in my inexperience I failed. How do I go about replacing it with silence in Audacity?
  18. Hello, I am running into a small problem while making my mod. An imported, 60 second long ambient audio track that loops flawlessly in iTunes does not loop flawlessly when put into Creation Kit. Namely, every time the track loops there is a very small but noticeable popping sound as the track ends and starts again. Has anyone run into this problem before and if so how do I solve it?
  19. I think it would be fantastic if someone could create a resource that contains drapes and curtains for interiors of different colours, it would really allow people to create a decadent interior. Kind of like a hanging cloth like this: These were the best examples I had on hand.
  20. Update: Have now completed the Military Quarter up to Instructor Razuvious. Check my Nexus Mods page for screenshots!
  21. Hello Nexus forum goers. I have been a member of the Nexusmods website for quite some time and never posted on the forums, and in all those years I have wanted one thing, first in Oblivion and now in Skyrim - a dungeon mod for Naxxramas, the legendary raid from World of Warcraft. It is a dungeon that I have obsessed over for quite some time, admiring the layout of the dungeon, the atmosphere, the music, the style and the theme of the dungeon - a giant crypt that floats in the sky as a citadel for the undead. Yet in all those years I saw a few World of Warcraft dungeons made, including the excellent Shadowfang Keep and Scarlet Monastery dungeons for Oblivion, and the Molten Core mod for Skyrim. Many people talked of wanting a Naxxramas mod, but no one could be bothered making it themselves, including me. I waited and waited and kept discouraging myself saying "oh it would be too hard to learn CK". Anyway, after a long period of deliberation I decided that I would build Naxxramas myself if no one else would do it. And so, but a few days ago, I started work on the mod, and am currently building the Military Quarter of the raid making very good progress, and will follow this with the Frostwyrm Lair and central hub sections. I have acquired permission from Cryptosporidium to use his external overworld Necropolis that he made to represent Naxxramas in the world of Skyrim. I will not be basing this dungeon on the WOTLK version but on the original VANILLA version of the raid, including all enemies from that original, pure incarnation of the greatest dungeon ever designed. I have created a little backstory for why the undead scourge has invaded Tamriel, and that will be included in the mod in books scattered around the dungeon. This is a massive undertaking, because Naxxramas is a vast dungeon - a veritable city in fact. I'm not deterred though, and I'll keep going, simply because I am completely obsessed with Naxxramas, the Undead Scourge, undead in general and recreating it in Skyrim. Here's a list of things I'm going to include in the mod: World of Warcraft-accurate dungeon layout, structure, decoration and colouration.Music and ambient sounds from World of Warcraft to create an authentic atmosphere.Books, written by myself and also taken from World of Warcraft, to give the dungeon backstory and depth rather than making a quest line to reduce work (including gems like On Undeath)Voice files from the game to make the bosses feel closer to World of Warcraft.Accurate enemy names and abilities, including, but not limited to, massive health pools and devastating attacks.Incredibly difficult battles against bosses and standard enemies - it is Naxxramas after all - to the point where you will be pulling your hair out in frustration and wanting to rage quit from the game. Unless you cheat, but that doesn't count.Authenticity is my main goal with this mod - my first mod - because in my opinion if it doesn't look, sound and play like the original then there's no point doing it. As such my mod will be of the highest quality and may well take a long time to complete but it will be worth it in the end. Of course, I really could do with some help. I can easily handle building the dungeon, navmeshing it, writing books, adding sounds and music and voice files, scripting etc. but I can't do everything. I really need someone that is fairly good at either importing or creating from scratch certain pieces of armour and also ENEMY MODELS. I really need models for the following bosses: GLUTH (May use a Death Hound as a placeholder)LOATHEB (may resort to using a Troll as a placeholder)THADDIUS (Giant placeholder? Frost Giant?)KEL'THUZAD (although I may resort to using a Dragon Priest for him)GROBBULUS (no placeholder really available for this guy...) ...and the following enemies: ABOMINATIONS (might use Ash Spawn as a placeholder)WIGHTS (Draugr placeholder)SLIMES/ SLUDGES (Netch placeholder?)FUNGAL MONSTROSITIES (Troll placeholder probably) ...and the following weapons / pieces of armour: Level 60 Frost Resistance gear (such as Icebane Plate)Tier 3 armour sets.Weapons. WEAPONS, DAMMIT.ShieldsThe importance of including these weapon / armour models is paramount - if the loot and enemy appearances don't fit the bill then it will look half-baked. Maybe I'll have to learn how to do it myself if no one helps me, but then it will a) take more time and b) result in a higher chance I give up out of exhaustion. If you are willing to help but don't know what the above items / enemies look like I recommend looking them up. Unfortunately I can't upload any screenshots of my work so far on here because the filesize is too large, but you can check them out on my Nexus Mods account ScarletPox. Here's the link to my gallery: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/2208823/?tb=images&pUp=1 MODS: Please delete the other thread I made covering this subject on my other account Imperatordeus. Thank you.
