  1. Ok, whenever I try to extract the dog textures into the game data folder, I get this super annoying message that keeps popping up. It says The process cannot access the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda ......... Data\textures\actors\dog\dog.dds' because it is being used by another process. When I open Nexus Mod Manager, it shows that I don't have any dog mods installed into my game. Why is this message popping up? I also get another message, usually before this one that's just as annoying that says Header checksum illegal. What can I do so I can extract the dog.dds to the Skyrim Data files and get rid of the ugly bluish-purple dogs?
  2. I am having a problem with all dogs showing up as blue ghost-like wolves. Could someone help me to fix this issue? Thanks!

  4. Ok, so I got the Construction Set 1.2 installed and the Extender. When I open it up, a little window pops up telling me that LIP service will be unavailable. I know that in the instructions, it says to follow steps 2 and 3 to enable Lip Sync, but those steps aren't there. Will look around to see if I can find them on the website. EDIT: I just noticed when opening up the Edit Response window after double clicking dialogue, it shows a list of the different races and their paths. What I noticed is that is shows Drow elves, with an N under lip. Could that be the cause of why this npc's lips don't move when playing the game?
  5. Yea, the race is from the Xenius Race Compilation mod. It's a drow elf. It definitely is really confusing. I'm not the type of person to give up when all else fails and would keep trying to figure out what they're talking about until I understand it but I don't really want to do that when someone can help me understand it right away. If you know what I mean. My npc does have the vanilla dialogue, I just don't know how to add wav files to them and lip sync, especially in Construction Set 1.0 because it doesn't let me open my file. Because it does not, does that me I have to copy and paste all the dialogue in my npc to Construction Set 1.0 and even create the different topics, like Greetings, etc? Definitely awesome to talk to you guys. Been a HUGE help! :)
  6. Thanks for this information! I don't need to make lips for silent dialog though but this is definitely great information. I have been reading the tutorials you gave me links to Striker879 on making the npc's mouth move and I have to admit it is a bit confusing. I have both TES CS v1.0 & 1.2 installed and the LIP Template mod downloaded and activated. I follow their steps but am thrown off when they start to talk about copying the WAV into the dialogue. I know that there is a BSA inside the Oblivion Data folder called Voices but do not know how to access it. I don't want to create new dialogue or record a WAV from scratch, I just want my NPC to use the vanilla dialogue and voices.
  7. Ok, that makes sense. I've had a little more experience with Wrye Bash and Oblivion Construction Set since starting this thread, so when I reread your posts, it makes more sense. Figured it all out! Thanks to everyone that helped, now new issue, how to get npc's mouth to move. Any thoughts? TANKS EVERYONE! :)
  8. I found out the reason for the problems. My armor mod that I have as one of the master's is conflicting with CM Partners.esm. I know you guys have already helped me out a lot already and I am very very very thankful for that 8-) but I wanted to ask, how can I still have the armor as one of the masters so I can give my CM Partner armor from a mod without the conflict between the 2 esm files? I want to still be able to upload this partner onto tesnexus without having to get permission. Thanks sooooooooooo very much! :)
  9. Ok, I will try removing the esp from the masters and see if that fixes the issue. You may be talking about this but I'm not quite understanding so I apologize, haha! I'm a little slow but is there a way to give an npc armor from a mod without having that mod as one of the master files? And to add onto what you said about creating an entirely new npc. Is it simple and how would you tie it in with the cm partner's mod? Just by adding the CM Partner's esm into the master file? I am giving Kudos to both of you for helping me as well, if I can give kudos out to both of you? xD I tried removing the esp and it still does the same thing, will try creating a character from scratch instead of using the cm Partners in TES Construction Set and see how that works.
  10. Unfortunately with steam, you may have to uninstall and reinstall. Try updating the game manually. In my opinion, I avoid Steam because it has caused nothing but headache for me when using it. Steam however should not affect modding because I have Fallout New Vegas on Steam and I have around 30 mods for it. I'm sure somebody has mentioned this somewhere before but the "Easiest" way to install mods in Oblivion is using Oblivion Mod Manager. Instead of deleting every mod veggiedealer, all you have to do is disable them and your game should play normally. Oblivion Mod Manager lets you do this. I Highly recommend using this program for Oblivion mods. If you ever want to keep mods for future use and have to uninstall Oblivion because it's taking too much space, the computer needs a clean install, for whatever reason you can go to your game directory and open obmm. Inside this folder, if you have mods installed, you will see a folder named mods. This is where all mods are saved. You can copy and paste this onto a flash drive and save it. Remember these folders do not exist if you don't have Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) installed. I forgot to ask so I'm editing this post, what operating system do you have veggiedealer? If you have Windows 7 or Windows Vista, it's probably an Administrative issue. Try running the game as Administrator.
  11. When I create my cm npc partner, I don't do anything with the dialogue. Are their steps that need to be taken in order to get the npc's mouth to move and be able to hear their voice?
  12. Today, I remade my character starting from scratch and before placing her in the world-space, I enabled the esp and ran the game. It had the same issue. I just got your reply, so I'm editing my post. The problem is only with this esp because when it's not enabled the ground exists but when enabled the ground disappears. I am trying to make sense of what you're saying. I apologize because I am very new. I haven't heard the term reespified To answer your questions, I am using TES Construction Set, didn't know about the Construction Set Extender. My masters for the esp are Oblivion.esm, CM Partners.esm, X.Races.Comp.esm, Westwind Rogue HGEC.esm, Ethereal - Eyes.esm, AsharasSirensandTritons.esm, Bad Lady.esm & CM Partners.esp After rereading your post I think I understand a little more, still confused about reespified though. I think the problem lies with the masters.
  13. I am having this same issue as well as the Oblivion world-space disappearing when I create my partner. Do you know how to fix the disappearing ground issue?
  14. Okay, thanks for the reply. This is what I did. I started by creating a new esp named CM Sadie Partner than opened it in Construction set with oblivion.esm, cm partner's.esp & esm and my face.esp with my saved face from my character. Finding my partner named cmSadie I opened her than pasted the copied face on her and saved. I then continued without closing the program to edit her inventory, adding armor from a mod I have installed, then giving her spells, editing her AI, and changing her hair, hair color and eye color. After I am complete, I save once again than continue with placing her in Tamriel. This is where I believe I am making a mistake. If there is a step I am skipping that's vital, please tell me! Thanks a bunch for your help!
  15. Today I created a CM Partner and decided to insert her into the Cheydinhal Mages Guild but after checking the esp and running the game, Cheydinhal doesn't have a ground. What did I do and what can I do to replace the ground without losing my CM partner I worked so hard on? I apologize if there is already a topic on this. This is just a problem I ran into and really want to figure out what I did. Any help would be awesome! Thanks a bunch!

  17. I was about to suggest having you check out the Apachii Goddess Store because it has pirate armor, but after seeing the picture, that would be an awesome set of armor! Not only that you mention the same mod about 2 posts up. I really wish I could mod because I would have definitely made this for you.   18. I really enjoy playing Soul Calibur IV! When I dropped that game for a while and picked Oblivion back up, I was surprised to see that there were hardly any mods for these games! I am creating this topic in case anybody has the same requests... If I knew how to mod, I would do this in a flash but I can't. To start the requests can anybody recreate Tira's armor from Soul Calibur 3 and 4, preferably from 3 for me. I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! Make it for HGEC if you do! Thanks a bunch!
