  1. Wait what, there's a cost for fast travel? The Oblivion style fast travel? I thought you only had to pay for carriages.
  2. Maybe he is mistaken? That CAN'T be a Bosmer. Or the character creation is more awesome than I thought.
  3. This is the highest quality one where I found it, and yes it's a Bosmer! :D Looks like Dunmer to me. Red eyes and gray skin. And thank god I knew they'd get the eyes right! I'm overwhelmed! These pics are awesome! I can't come up with words to describe this feeling :)
  4. One could say there weren't any Dunmer in Oblivion, though. Just round faced smurfs :D Yeah totally an improvement. But there's one detail that kinda sticks out... the eyes! Are they black? Seriously? Where are the glowing red eyes as described in the previous games? E/ Oh, and I'm glad to see that they really are making the races distinct and unique. Can't wait to see a Bosmer!
  5. You mean they speak more naturally this time :P The way people spoke in Oblivion sounded horrible and fake. Hopefully they have hired better writers since then.
  6. You CAN choose the direction of the swing. Watch the videos. It's easy to see.
  7. Todd, why? Get COD out of your damn head before you destroy TES! He pretty much destroyed it already. Oblivion, remember? What made that game bad? It was targeted for different audience altogether. For kids. The handholding trough the entire game, with little to none thinking required. The fast paced hack 'n' slay gameplay. Skyrim doesn't seem to improve on this in any manner.
  8. What I hope to see is more lore for specific places. Why is this town here, when was it built, what happened here thousands of years ago etc... You get the point. Cyrodiil felt shallow. Skyrim has interesting lore. I hope to see some of it in the game. Another hope. More interesting NPCs. I know that dialogue and storytelling aren't Beth's strong points, but I hope there are at least some interesting and unique people. Just a few is enough.
  9. I agree with you, headbomb. I don't like the new UI in particular. The health/fatigue/magicka bars are EVEN BIGGER than in Oblivion, and the skill increased text? Bleh. And I hate the compass being at the top. I don't like the font, either. It just feels out of place. I blame consoles, and their small resolution; if the smaller text would be in Oblivion/Morrowind style font, it would be unreadable. I pray for the time when consoles die. But none of this deters me from loving the game.
  10. Well, at least in the demo the armor was separated the same way as in Oblivion, and I don't see that changing before the release.
  11. Bosmer is the race I'll play as, assuming they look more like the ones in Morrowind than Oblivion. In style, that is. The meshes were horrendous. What we have seen of the other races so far promises good.
  12. @Chogiel Well, in Morrowind they don't have mammal glands, and I think Oblivion only had them because Argonian share the same body meshes with other -mammal- races.
  13. Well, that seems more natural and realistic.
  14. Yes, I know all that. The uploader of the video says it's legit. But where is it from? The transition is perfect, it just CAN'T be mashed up.
  15. <- Where did he/she get this :O Sounds like it could be the introduction music.
