  1. Why would you put it in your skyrimprefs? That has nothing to do with the CK.
  2. What I do is create a .esp through the Creation Kit, then activate it in the in-game mod manager. The issue for me isn't the .esp, it's the fact that the Creation Kit crashes every so often. I need help discerning what that error means and how to fix it.
  3. I'm able to save the .esp and changes seem to carry over just fine. The CK simply crashes periodically.
  4. I keep getting this error. So far I have 1. Placed objects in Ivarstead. A barrel, a chair, and a sleeping cot. 2. Observed books without altering anything. 3. Went through the process of creating an npc Each of these were isolated. I have not worked with the same .esp twice. I have always set Skyrim.esm and Update.esm as files. I never set these two as active files. Can someone please help me figure this out? It's a consistent crash after a period of time in the CK, and I don't know if anything's triggering it. Most I can gather is it has something to do with visual studio but I haven't the slightest idea on how to fix it, and when I've looked elsewhere I've gotten no help. I'd really like to start getting into modding but this is making it really difficult. Thanks in advance.
  5. Honestly with the nature of Elder Scrolls modding and the way it works, there are just too many factors for valve or bethesda to stick their fingers in it and expect it to work. Modding is best done for the community, and shared with one another. That's how it's always worked, with a donation option that is much more prominent now. Don't let this schism divide us. Please don't forget what modding was all about. It was never about making money, it was about passion, hobby and a community to share it with. If that all gets torn away, what will be left? We'll lose everything that made this community what it was.
  6. You know, someone else made a good suggestion. If you want to give modders incentive to put mods on the nexus, I think what you ought to do is allow modders a cut of the ad revenue, supposing you can afford it. Imagine it. After you get a certain amount of endorsements or downloads, you get a cut of the revenue.
  7. That's... a good point. Whoops. Never mind then.
  8. Edit: Never mind, I forgot I had to get permission before I made a request about them. Sorry.
  9. I'm liking where this mod is going. In fact, I'm amazed you've managed to accomplish something that seemed impossible for so long. Great work, man. I'm looking forward to the release. :)
  10. I looked at the Brutish mod and while a decent mod, isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Khajiits don't need to look quite that big and hulking, just need to have a bit more of a lion influence. But yes, some more drastic mods for Khajiit and Argonians would be nice. And more Oblivion-esque Argonians.
  11. Eh more or less. The idea is similar. I just think they'd look a lot better if they had more big cat influence.
  12. Well yes their shape changes depending on the lunar moons, but their species I would think wouldn't look like mountain cats, but more like big cats like lions, as that's a bit more consistent with previous depictions. Regardless, thanks for your input. My mod request stands, if only because I would rather they look more like their previous depictions.
  13. Okay so Skyrim's Argonians and Khajiits aren't that bad. They're pretty good, actually. But why were Khajiits primarily designed to look like mountain cats? To fit in with Skyrim? They aren't from Skyrim, why would they fit? And Argonians... The raptor design is not bad, but I would love to have the option to have my salamanders back. I propose a remodel is in order. Something to bring the races back to their roots, something drastic, something that'll make them look unique and out of this world. Khajiits and Argonians should go back to their roots. Khajiits should have more inspiration from Lions, Tigers, and other big cats (Yes I don't like ESO very much but they really do a rockin' job of portraying Khajiits visually). Make them look like fierce predators with a tropical/desert/savanna aspect. Meanwhile, Argonians should have a more amphibious aspect, and more of a callback to Oblivion. They come from a swamp! They breathe underwater! And every image thus prior to Skyrim has them with fins. Yes, I know about the Argonian fins mod but it doesn't do them enough justice, Argonians don't have the round snouts, or the large salamander eyes. So overall the point of this request? I just think it would be amazing to show the beast races some love and make them look more like their Oblivion counterparts, but in an updated and fresh way.
  14. Just in general hearing people vomit their life story to me every time they walk past. After the tenth time I just wanna decapitate them.
  15. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32598 - Lets you rip people's hearts out as a killmove. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16846/? - Makes cannibalism a bit bloodier. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/? - Enhances the vampire playstyle by adding ranks according to number of feedings, as well as a crap ton of customizability, feeding as a finishing move, feasting on killed enemies, sneak feeding, extracting blood potions, new powers you gain as you rank up, etc. Enjoy.
