  1. Thank you! I don't know why I never tried this, basically the video guides or text guides I were following were for either weapons or just like caravan clothing or something. It makes complete sense that the glowmap would go under glow/skin/hair I just saw that every guide never put it there and only put it in environment, I convinced myself that is the only place the glowmap should go for items. I should have thought about it more because all those textures never had anything like the visor, but you know hindsight 20/20. That fixed my issue!
  2. thanks for the response! if you look at my response #4 I use the original game files (or what I think them to be). here are the files, but like I said they are unedited and literally pulled from what fallout mod manager unpacked from the game, I used the original files to set it up in the geck and it still had the graphical issue without ANY changes to the files from me. I don't know how to upload the file when I try it says "you aren't permitted to upload this kind of file."

I've looked through and I sort of understand it, but I get that the alpha channel controls "shininess" and I've noticed that on the default item(nvdlc04riotgearhelmetb.dds) when imported it does not have an alpha channel, but when I save it the DDS extension for photoshop gives it a alpha channel and I do not understand how to save it without one. It seems the alpha channel it's giving it is just pure white which is causing it to get all messed up, however I have no clue how to fix that. if anyone has experience with the photoshop DDS extension (the official one from nvidia is the one I'm using) then maybe they have the answer?

So basically I'm on my maiden voyage and making a companion mod and I've decided I want him to wear an slightly edited version of the "Elite Riot gear", basically I've just been trying to get it to work so I've done something very simple and just changed the visor from red to blue. I can't find the texture set for the armor nor the helmet so I just went ahead and made my own texture set so I don't really know what it's supposed to look like. As such I'm sort of just winging it, but I've watched some youtube tutorials and I don't see what I'm doing wrong. So I unpacked new vegas BSA's, I needed the DLC4 one so I got that. Anyway here is an imgur with all the images of the maps, I've tried like everything and I've googled for a long ass time, I'm just probably not aware of the correct terminology and not sure what to look for. here is an imgur album with what I assume is all the images I need to show you guys? if you need more let me know, (going to bed so will check in the morning, been trying to get this to work for hours lol.) as a note I tried it ingame and it looks the same, super bright and doesn't look correct. https://imgur.com/a/uKmeAeA

  7. http://i.imgur.com/g5D6qPl.jpgyeah its definitely not that, I ended up just removing all the textures from the surrounding area and only showing the landscape layer. It wouldn't let me remove some of the textures for some reason though, then I tried to paste a texture over it all again same thing. Also some textures would not work to go over everything, like the road texture would only work on about 25% of them. this texture was the one that could cover the most.
  8. so I have an issue to where I am trying to edit the worldspace of the lake next to the sunshine tiding co-op where I want to add a road leading down to the lake. I am able to soften the vertices from the road to the lake easily to make it a smooth path. After that when I go to add a texture of LDirtGravel01 to make the road it works on the 1st quadrant, but it will not paint over any of the other 4 parts of the major quadrant. I can remove all the textures from the 4th quadrant easily, but I can only add a few specific textures to it. I have no idea whats going on. any help would be great. this is a repost from mod troubleshooting and I got no replies so not sure if it was in the right place.

  10. I use the manual install and followed all the instructions to a T looked at the FAQ and nothing on it. Basically the fonts work fine I check to make sure I got all the data folders etc were right and they are. I have steam version, but all the menu's are default style and I get the new font. Any ideas?

So basically when ever I try to move a mod to my (Computer-(C:)-Program files (86X)- Bethesda Softworks-Oblivion) It shows this http://oi52.tinypic.com/20t16di.jpg I am on the main administrator account so i have no idea why its not working. Oh and its not just that mod it;s every mod i try it with. The Oblivion Mod Manager doesn't work either like it shows up on my Data Files from the Oblivion launcher i checked and activated through Oblivion Mod Manager but when i go in game no mods work.
