  1. if it floats above your head that means you didnt anchor it down to the right bone nodes.. you have to load an original helm, then do a skinwrap modifier on your helm. that should set the right bones. you cant just copy the skin from a helm. also, when i imported the male body and head the helmet you made is much too small.. your going to have a lot of clipping.
  2. i dunno i just searched for race on nexus. never used it. it was random basically when you install that race it looks like you will have a body for that race in \data\meshes\actors\character\Cherry assets \data\textures\actors\character\cherryfemale that is where you would put the cbbe body and face textures.. it looks like he is using unp so you would have to change both the mesh and texture to cbbe. instaling this wont remove the texures you installed in your main folder.. you would have to remove those if you want. keep in mind you will only see the cbbe body if you or the npc isnt wearing clothes. i would check this one too http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8720 looks to be maybe what you are looking for.
  3. no you cant just move the files. you have to install a mod. like this one http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13093 then move your face and body mods to over write his.
  4. you gotta make a race, then use your body with that race as your character.. if you change the default body it will affect every npc in the game.
  5. there are lots of reasons to have what you are talking about.. its not just cause people are lazy. the game is kinda limited on what you can do with armor. i have modded several hentai's stuff for oblivion to fit skyrim and i know what you mean.. some of his stuff he cuts the body up, so if you want to say not wear gloves, you wont have any arms, or of you dont wear the boots you wont have legs. he does this cause its easier to keep clipping down. ive done it on a few of my armor that ive made, cause you can get the mesh more skin tight without any clipping if you dont have a body under it. its really not possible to make a suit tho that will be fully compatible with every mix and match option in the game. when you make a top, it has to fit the bottom, the shoes have to fit the legs and the gloves have to fit the arms. if you dont make it fit all together (a complete suit) and just make each piece separate, i promise it will not have the look you are after when put together.
  6. are there any guides or tutorials about what you can modify in the skeleton.nif?
  7. i cant figure out how to convert a model and make it strips and put it in a ground properly. everytime i try it gets messed up.
  8. this is the first time im having problem with feet.. its cause i need the toe bones with the leg bones. usually when i make boots, i just import the feet and check the skeleton. but since im doing knee highs i need all the leg bones from the body, when i import them they get all squished. :( its like the feet need to go under the floor a tad. im not sure how to make that happen. im using the skeleton form the game..
  9. so import the skeleton.. i import the body.. i import the feet.. and then bam, my guy goes total gimp.. im trying to make boots that go up the legs, but i cant cause they wont stay straight :(
  10. you can do all this with console commands, no mods needed..
  11. i think the only real difference is light armor has that stam regen perk, and heavy armor has that dont get knocked back perk.. other then that its pure looks as both can be bumped up to max.
  12. the mod directory is where you save your uninstall info for mods from nmm.. i put it like documents/my games/skyrim the game directory you have is fine. when you click on download with NMM in nexus, you also have to install the mod via the NMM, once its download click the mod and then click the green + on the left. to activate the mod. this should auto install the mod into the game/data folder one main mod you should install is skse. this will give you a new exe to run instead of texv.exe http://skse.silverlock.org/ get the one that is compatible with your game, if you didnt update to beta get the top one. you have to install that manually.
  13. if you go into the game and get your guy looking how you want, you can type in savepcface name and it will save a name.npc file you can import into the CK. it works but it crashed the ck when i clicked ok. i had to remember where the sliders were, move them my self and then click ok.
  14. i did it, with 3 races.. one thing you cant do is make more then one file make the changes, and that file has to be an esm so i made the headparts in an esm i named it race headparts and i load that just before the race esm. i dont make any changes in the race.esm to headparts, just the 3 races in there.. then i loaded up the 3 races esm and skyrim.esm and make the headpart changes.. saved it as an esp and then i converted that to esm and load that right under skyrim.esm and before the race.esm file. that way there is no conflicts. then i have a seperate NPC esm that has all my race npcs in it, using all the headparts.
  15. thats easy.. what you gotta do is go into headparts, find the nord beard you want.. right click and push duplicate.. then open that duplicated beard up, and put it to elf race. you can rename it too if you want.
