  1. So I've been trying to make a new Falkreath Sanctuary after it got destroyed during the final quest of the Dark Brotherhood. I prefer adding everything through console commands with the help of the mod 'storage helpers', but there are some things that can only be done through the Creation Kit. I've been trying to remove all the soot and bloodstains which can mostly be found in the beginning of the sanctuary, but whatever I do it won't work. They will not show up in the console (I've probably tried every trick there is by now) and anything covering the stains will only work until the cell is reloaded, so I've turned to the creation kit. There are a lot of things called "TrapOilPermanent" or "DecalBloodSprayGround", but when I try to delete and load it, the changes will either not show up in-game, or the sanctuary will not load at all. Is there anyone out there who knows how I can clean this cell up? For illustration, the things I'm trying to remove: http://i68.tinypic.com/ncl4pv.jpg And an example of the creation kit: http://i64.tinypic.com/sfgpc3.png
  2. I edited a cell through the console, but I encountered a few things I want to change which can only be done through the creation kit. Execpt that when I load the cell, it looks just like the original cell from before I started editing it. Does anyone know how I can load the current in-game cell into the kit?
  3. I'm no expert, but I believe that you can publish information, given that you both credit the creator and provide links to the original upload pages. However, this is only the case if it is a free site, because otherwise you'd be making money out of other peoples work. If you want to be certain that you're allowed to use the information about the mods, I'd suggest contacting the developers of the mods you'd want to use. Personally, I believe adding a donation option would be the safest bet.
  4. I'd like to help too : ) When you say you are looking for things that can be improved, so you mean both functionally and esthetically? (is that last one a word? It is right? I'm not native English..)
  5. Perhaps you could use this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60445/? because it also tracks which books you have yet to find?
  6. This mod already exists! You can download it here :)
  7. I'd say wait 'till it's on sale with the DLC's. Not only can you get some more mods, but the DLC's themselves are really worth it
  8. so i have tried to install them both (i'm not the best at manual installation) and somehow when i try and load up a saved game i CTD which i think means i have not installed ULO properly, for now though i am sticking with this mod Manual installation is really not the way you want to go at installing mods, especially if you want to install multiples. I really recommend installing these mods with the Nexus Mod Manager. Installing and activating them is then as simple as clicking a button. Here is the link to NMM: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/?
  9. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68782/? Is this the one you were looking for?
  10. I believe these two are compatible, because they both just add new recipes to the game.
  11. As far as I can see this is probably the closest to what you seek, but it doesn't really have a latex look version: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73573/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D73573%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Perhaps you can request this mod at the forum, or ask if the creator of the mod linked above would be willing to make it
  12. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they are compatible. The description of 'Immersive Saturation Boost' states that it is compatible with 'Realistic Lighting Overhaul' which isn't Ultimate Lighting Overhaul, but I'm guessing is very similair. And the description of ULO states that ''ULO is compatible with all lighting mods that make changes to Skyrims lighting in game''. So I think it's safe to say that they are. The best way to know for sure is to install them both, and look at the effect it'll have, or ask the creators of the mods at their respective discussion pages. Hope that helps!
  13. I typed 'help fence 0' and I only get a list of dialoge options for the fences, the fences, and the containers for the thieves guild (and a few factions). I tried to find it with the keyword 'woven' and even 'FenceWoven', but there were no search results somehow.. Could you give me the ID? Then I'll try to figure xEdit out in the meanwhile
  14. This happens as soon as I extract the file http://i66.tinypic.com/2cdhcnt.png
  15. I'm not sure what's wrong, but when I try to install it I get a lot of errors.. (and I even watched the video tutorial and everything.. sigh) Could you (or someone who happens to browse this topic) please check the RefID '000f1d93' for me? I tried finding it, but I could only find the Thieves Guild Fences that launder your stolen goods. I'm not native English though, so there might be some synonym I'm missing
  16. Thanks for replying! I'm a just a beginner when it comes to modding though, what is xEdit?
  17. I've been looking for ID codes for fences, but I can't find them anywhere. Neither online or with the 'help [keyword] 0' option. I'm looking for this fence in particular: http://i65.tinypic.com/2w6xzs2.jpg Does anyone know these codes? Thanks!
  18. Well, my experience with the creation kit is exactly zero, wich is exactly why I hoped I could do this all by console. (the added pics are a bit big, sorry, I didn't know how to make them smaller) Here is a picture of what I was trying to remove: http://i68.tinypic.com/ncl4pv.jpg All the black stains, and the blood as well. I used your previous suggestions to get rid of the mist, so one is already removed :) What do you mean by 'editing that back room'? Because that room is one of the area's where I encountered the least problems. It's beginning to look quite nice, in fact (if I do say so myself!) http://i66.tinypic.com/rtdfdt.jpg
  19. guys guys, please don't argue in my topic. It was a simple misunderstanding (probably caused because my forum title is 'newbie'). I really appreciate all the suggestions and help you've already given me! As of the matter of the 'markfordelete' versus 'disable', I usually use disable first to check what I've selected. If that selected thing is some junk I want to remove I enable it again and then use the 'markfordelete' command. Because of all the suggestions I've been able to remove all the smoke, and at the moment I'm trying to remove the soot. No luck yet, but I'm not giving up. The duplication tip might work, so let's see if I can figure out the creation kit.
  20. Yes, this is the problem I'm having, and the reason I made this topic. My apologies if my original explanation wasn't very good, English isn't my native language. Let me try again. I want to remove al the soot/ash stains and the blood stains throughout the ruined Falkreath sanctuary. I have tried both the 'markfordelete' and the 'disable' command, however, I can't find the ID (code) that I'm supposed to remove. So these commands will only remove the ground or the walls themselves (well, they get deleted along with the things I'm trying to remove, but that leaves me with the problem of not having any floors). If I delete objects that were affected by the stains, and replace them, it will only work until I reload the cell. As soon as I do that all the soot/ashes/blood will be placed on top of them again. I tried the suggestion with the scrolling, but this didn't reveal a code either. I hope this cleared it up a bit more, if not, I'll try again!
  21. Doing this isn't revealing anything either :( This is the first thing I tried, but it doesn't work because I can't find the code..
  22. Disable doesn't work either, there is no ID code to select to use the command on. I can only disable and reenable the floor/wall beneath it to temporarily remove it, but as soon as the area reloads it's back.
  23. I am currently in the process of refurnishing the burned out Dark Brotherhood Falkreath Sanctuary, and I have a problem removing the soot in the entrance hall and master bedroom (and the smoke in the secret chamber behind the master bedroom). Is there a console command to remove these? I tried 'markfordelete' on the soot and then reloading, but appearantly it doesnt work on that. Does anyone know how to remove this? Thanks!
  24. Before I had the NMM, I installed a few Skyrim mods manually. Now that I have the NMM, managing everything had become a lot easier. Is there any way for my manually installed mods to appear in my mods list in the NMM so I can have everything in one place?
