Double awesome. I have this weird dream of Charon and Benny following me around the wasteland, bickering and sniping and basically pissing each other off just for my sordid amusement.... :>

On the other hand, he's also a resourceful and ambitious guy with a code of honor that is oddly fitting for the Mohave Wasteland and the Vegas Strip in particular-- he does what needs doing, but he does take pride in being...ah...up front about his underhandedness. You know, like wanting to look people in the eye when he kills 'em. (Reminds me of Mal in Firefly-- "I ever shoot you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed." So, you know, leave out the last bit and you've got Benny.) I think he'd be a great companion-- funny as hell and all too willing to do your dirty work for you, 'long as it gets the two of you the Strip. And that could even be a good twist to the character as a companion-- like how some of them will walk out on you if they disapprove of who you help? Benny helps as long as you follow the Independent Vegas option, but start siding with any group too much, and you have to worry he'll leave, or more likely shoot you again. :P Frankly I'm amazed no one's done a companion mod for him. It's been requested here a couple of times now.

He's like a baby brother securitron. He'd be a very colorful addition to the game, very cool. Wall-E strikes me as a touch too innocent to fit into the Fallout world, but Eve would kick serious ass. M-O would just lose his mind. :P

I'd love to see Benny as a companion after freeing him from the Legion-- it's the least he could do for you, after shooting you in the head! I'm female and play a female character, and yep, took the "sleep with him and let him live" option just 'cause the dialog was too funny; and that's exactly why I think he'd be a good companion-- he's entertaining (in more ways than one, if you're a woman). :>
