  1. This happened to me randomly once. I immediately quit the game(before entering/leaving a worldspace/cell) and tried to see if there was a fix. Hours later after finding nothing, I just started the game and it was gone.
  2. Behughes, Esbern is the one that tells you that dragons mean the end of the world. Before him, you're just thinking, "I wonder why the dragons appeared...". I feel this is what rushes the player to complete the main quest.
  3. The main quest of Arena is supposed to have taken 10 years though or so I heard on the Beth Lore Forums.
  4. 1. Porting models from Oblivion is not allowed. 2. THAT'S SKINGRAD!
  5. I think you're relying too much on things that aren't in the game. Try and fit your story around things already in the game. Adding a single NPC wouldn't be that hard for someone who knew what they were doing but making factions is very hard.

  7. I like the TES books but there's so many that I can only really read the really interesting ones or else I'll be spending more time reading IG books then playing the actual game or reading RL books.
  8. Steam makes it much easier to keep track of updates but I HATE trying to browse the Workshop. It's just horrible! EDIT: Anyway, here's my opinion on what SW is doing to the Nexus currently. Some Nexus users have left, but very few. SW has attracted more people new to modding but the Nexus has still gotten plenty of new members. The Nexus has almost every mod that's on SW and some exclusives too. Most of the exclusives for SW are probably mods where the modder couldn't be bothered to spend less than a minute to upload it to the Nexus, meaning that most of those mods were probably poorly made. A lot of Nexus exclusives are really well done. NMM is already very user-friendly so I think that when it's out of Beta, it'll increase the popularity of the Nexus.
  9. The Blades may be Dragon hunters and letting Paarthurnax live may be against their honour but they are also the sworn protectors of the Dragonborn so not helping you unless you kill someone helping you defeat Alduin is pretty stupid and goes against their honour just as much.
  10. I don't know if Beth have changed their minds, it's best not to risk it. Keep it to yourself.
  11. Morroblivion is illegal because Morrowind used a few files which Bethesda borrowed to use with Morrowind. The deal was that they were only allowed to use it with Morrowind. Since Morroblivion ports these files into Oblivion, it could get Bethesda sued. To show that they didn't support Morroblivion, they banned it's discussion from the Bethesda forums and asked Tes nexus to take the Morroblivion file down.
  12. Nope, Morroblivion REQUIRED Morrowind to play. And the difference between Morrowind and Oblivion was probably just as big.
  13. Yeah, it's strange how the F3 to FNV was allowed when MW to OB wasn't.
  14. I thought thats because it was public mod? If its still not right to do it personally (my own mod not public) while I have bought both games, I will stop immediatly. is this the case? Oh, you just want it for yourself? Well, the problem is that all Oblivion's files are in the Oblivion folder. The CK only looks in the Skyrim folder. You'll run into tons of problems with broken quests and AI(due to both games having different settings for these)and many other features though.
  15. I know your problem but I'm not going to help you because this is illegal. Remember Morroblivion?
  16. I think it's impossible since you read a book while your in your inventory and your inventory freezes time.
  17. Bump because this is great. I agree with everything on the above post. I also think that you should meet Esbern later because it's him that tells you that the world will end unless you defeat Alduin quickly.
  18. Arena was based when Uriel was in power. I think I read that Arena/Daggerfall(forget which but those two games weren't far apart in TES timeline) was based 20 years before Oblivion. So, from Arena to Skyrim, it's been about 220 years.
  19. A lot of the time a mod is so good that I'm so busy playing it that I forget to endorse. I'll try and catch up soon but I have a fair few Skyrim mods and probably a hundred Oblivion mods to catch up on.
  20. They decided to end the 3rd era when the Oblivion Crisis ended. It was a major event in history, when would be a better time to end a REALLY long era?
  21. One of the newer texture packs that is becoming increasingly popular(and a lot of Skyrim HD users are switching to)is: Skyrim Realistic Overhaul http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5400 . Serious HD was nice but it never really became that popular for some reason, maybe it doesn't change that many textures? I don't know.
  22. I'm asking what scripts/quests Bethesda used to do it so I can change those scripts/quests.
  23. So...what does it have to do with Skyrim mods?
  24. When I left Dragonsreach one day, a really strange bug just randomly appeared. I stepped under a small shadow, and the whole world got darker(slighty, but it was a small shadow). When nothing was above my head, it was as bright as normal.
