Hi Everyone absolutely love WOTR been amazing so far, however since the upgrade to 1.2 I've not been able to play it, at first the game wouldn't load and just got stuck around 60% people suggested to me this was because the mods I was running were out of date, so I waited a few days for them to be updated and have updated them, now the game runs but every one of my save games either starts to load and then just skips back to the main menu or actually errors out, (the odd save game on each profile works fine, namely the ones RIGHT at the start before the shield maze) the errors are slightly different per save game here are a couple https://i.imgur.com/R5mAyqs.png https://i.imgur.com/ENtta6r.png I was running the following mods bubble buffs enhanced inventory toybox (a bag of tricks) visual adjustments I could just "start again" but I had 6 different profiles with save games in chapters 3-5 at various stages because of the different mythic paths, I don't really want to have to start again on ALL of my playthroughs. Anything I can do to fix this? everything was perfect until the DLC update. I would appreciate the help, thanks
  2. Yep, I'm sure it's not got any gaps, because the cell is also a workshop and if I load a game before I build a bunch of stuff in the workshop its fine, but once I build alot of things this is what happens, if it was a bounds issue it would happen 100% of the time.

Hi guys I've been working on building a vault in the CK on and off for a couple of years now, its absolutely huge and everything was fine until now I've started getting issues walking around my vault in game I get this horrible visual issue/ mirror/tearing screenshots here https://i.imgur.com/3RRTjQ6.png https://i.imgur.com/C819p4K.png I know it is because there are a huge number of objects in the cell, but I'm trying to find a solution that doesn't cause me to have to delete a mass of stuff I've tried turning down the object draw distance, changing between full screen and windowed/borderless. updating graphics card driver. changing vsync settings in nvidia control panel My Machine is running Windows 10 Version 21H1 I have 32GB of Ram,Intel i7-10700K CPUNivida Geforce RTX 3060 ti Graphics CardOver a TB of free space on the drive What else can I do to fix this? :sad: been working on it for a really long time and I'm almost finished with it, but this has really sapped all the joy out of it for me. hoping that someone has a fix for me. many thanks regards Rob.
  4. I found it was a mod causing it, one of the ones that fleshed out the Nelis base, removing it from my load order didn't fix the issue though I had to go back to a save before I added it. but now my issue is fixed :)

I remember having this problem years ago but I don't remember the fix. my world map is now completely blank and won't zoom in or out, (local map is fine) other pipboy menus all fine. https://i.imgur.com/Jbew9m3.png it's not just effecting the one save game either, any game I load is now suffering this issue regardless of where they are, I've tried a full system reboot. I remember definitely experiencing this years ago but not how to fix it. The game works fine except for the world map, but without it I'm very limited in how to travel unless I COC everywhere, so this kinda breaks the game for me. Thanks in advance for your help. Thank you sooo much, I've been modding these games for years and I was aware of the 255 mod limit on skyrim/fo4 so I always assumed FNV was the same limit and I was well within it running like 130 mods, I had no idea about this multifile per esp limiter thing and so I've learned something new today, I've installed it and ran FNV for the last 2 hours and haven't had to quit/reload it once. so I believe this has fixed the issue you are fantastic :D thank you
  7. Hi Guys I've got a problem with my Fallout New Vegas with a bunch of random visual glitches that are driving me insane. I get the following 1) People have purple body parts, which would usually be a texture being missing but it's not, 2) non player objects are randomly invisible (the entirety of helios one was invisible) 3) buildings/armor/weapons etc show random other textures that flicker to other additional textures when either they move or I move, so for example a piece of armor might randomly have a generator texture or a sunset sarsaparilla bottle texture, Here is a screenshot of the purple texture issue to show you what I mean. I have tried the archive invalidation toggle fix and this does not resolve the issue, hoping someone else has encountered this problem and knows how to fix it, because it's really really annoying.   8. the previous quest was completed successfully (Isran did his speach and said about Serana looking for me) but it doesn't start the next part, the console command to finish the previous quest doesn't do anything because it was already finished successfully (you can use console commands to advance quests but never to go back to previous stages of that quest)
  9. that's the quest before, which i already completed, so this doens't work either. I managed to bypass this quest by starting the quest AFTER it, skipping the whole thing, it worked and let me progress through the entire rest of dawnguard, but unfortunately the quest i skipped means that my dawnguard must be missing some flags and never got rebuilt and still looks shitty after harkon's death.
  10. I'm doing the dawnguard verison not the vampire version I'm not a vampire this time around, I only meant I've done the vampire version in a previous save game but i've not actually done dawnguard as a dawnguard before. I forcibly moved serena to the cell and It still isn't working :S

  12. If you go upstairs to talk to Isran he just gives generic dialogue no options to progress the quest at all.

Hi There I'm trying to play through the Dawnguard DLC and I have a problem that the Quest "Prophet" just doesn't start at the end of "A new Order" Isran gives his speech to the NPC's that we've brought back and says that a vampire has shown up looking for me, it is supposed to start the quest Prophet immediately afterwards but it doesn't. I thought it might be one of the two mods that I have that directly effect dawnguard, Immersive fort Dawnguard and Pandorables dawnguard npc's but i've disabled both, I ran a load/save/load before handing in the previous quest (one that was nowhere near the fort) and then travelled to dawnguard but still had the issue, so I started a new game and speedran myself up to this point with god mode on and still had the same issue. On the USEP wiki it says the following "The quest may fail to start after completing the previous quest. If this happens, enter the following command into the console: setstage dlc1vq03hunter 5 then wait a few hours for Serana to appear in the fort, then follow Isran." However doing that does absolutely Nothing, if I do this command and then use getstage dlc1vq03hunter it returns stage 0. I've tried waiting inside and outside of the fort for an entire day both before and after attempting the command but it does nothing. from the wiki an other things i've read online it sounds like this can happen in the vanilla version of the game without mods, I've attached my load order anyway. At this point I just want to find a workaround so either a fix to make the quest start properly or a way to jump start the questline, either or I don't care. but the wiki's recommendation is not working for me. Sorry to keep asking n00bish questions if mod 1 uses resources A and B and mod 2 uses resources B and C, mod 1 is unpacked as loose files and mod 2 is a BSA how does the game know to use the bsa for mod 2? or does it just see that B is unpacked assume the mod is unpacked ignore the bsa and then you get the ! for resource C? are you generally supposed to use bsa or loose files? what are the benefits of one over the other. the main reason i've unpacked to loose files is that the CK doesn't view the bsa and you just get the red ! everywhere which makes editing virtually impossible. i've got 5 mods that i've made since my start of modding that i'm painfully going through trying to amend every reference to a non-shared location and its taking forever, i need those 5 mods to work when i reinstall but don't want to copy over any files i don't need into the game directory and clutter it up with crap again which has caused the ctd issues in the first place.

I've caused a major problem with whatever i've done to my data folder, and i need to cleanly re-install skyrim but i'm worried about losing files that i need for my mods to work, so i'm trying to tidy up my resources and then re-pack everything so i can back it up before then, At the moment the problem i've caused is that I CTD whenever I hit or break a spiderweb (in any cell) which is really odd :S but it happened after I unpacked a BSA into loose files (though i don't know what files specifically) so i'm going to have to do a purge and start again.
  16. thanks so much for your help I've managed to get it sorted now, first time I tried years ago I didn't maintain the folder structure just copied stuff loose into a folder and then obviously it didn't work and quickly panicked and gave up, kept to using the vanilla structure. so one question, you say mods only conflict if they use the same asset but one of them is modified? so does this only apply to loose files or archives, say for example 2 mods have a BSA archive that has CK objects that point to the same mesh path, do these not conflict? how does the game know which one to "unpack" or "read" or however it processes it?
  17. Hi Completely n00bish, questions but I want to learn and improve my process. I've heard that if mods use the same meshes and textures (Same resource paths) it can cause problems, However I'm unsure of the process to use to make custom paths for the content. For example if there is a there following Skyrim>Data>Meshes>Folder>Mesh.nif and you copy this to Skyrim>Data>Meshes>mynewfolder>mesh.nif This copy in this folder then doesn't work in the CK if you create a new instance of the item (New ID) and point it to the new mesh location, (I assume because this copy doesn't know where to find its associated textures) Even if you do the same process in the Textures folder. either way the copies of assets with altered paths don't seem to work so I don't know how to do this process. Is there a dummy guide (Idiots step by step please) on how to cleanly setup your folders and your resources so that they are mod independent and therefore won't conflict with other mods? Thanks

This is likely something really really easy and i'm just ignorant but how do I make a creature who is non-hostile to the player character? as an example I'm trying to make a non-hostile Spriggan in a garden, I've made a new creature (new ref) removed it from its factions, set it unaggresive, but it still attacks me every time. can someone explain the steps I need to take to make it non-hostile please? regards

You get it at the end of a questline, basically it changes the door so it links to a brand new cell "new rexford hotel" until you complete the quest it points to the old cell (vanilla rexford hotel) once you've completed the quest you get access to the workshop to alter things, if you place other lights from the workshop mode they are invisible (even the fixture) the first time you place them then if you load out of the cell and load back in again they work, it just looks weird having lights that are working next to lights that aren't :P I've reinstalled the mod and unfortunately even after doing this, only the lights placed in workshop mode manually are working,

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I went back to double check, hoping it was that i was just being stupid, the switchbox is there as you say it says in brackets "do not touch" it's on by default. I toggled it off and on just encase but it made no difference. yea I have the pre-req mod as well, game won't launch with depravity installed if you dont have it's outcasts dependency installed. thanks for looking into it though, Maybe i should re-install it encase that would fix it?

Hi Guys I ask alot of dumb questions on here (I know I'm an idiot), I'm sorry, I really hope someone can help me out though, i used to run fo4 with 244 mods and about a dozen light plugins and it used to crash for me every 10 minutes of play, (the mods were definitely screwy because i couldn't start a new game with them on it got stuck so half of them had to be disabled until I got into the house after character face generation) When I came back to fallout 4 recently I decided to start again. I completely removed fallout 4, reinstalled and deleted my mod list, started from scratch and came up with a new build which is 126 mods and 63 light (these are all mostly settlement plans) I made a brand new save game (with all the mods enabled at start) and it loaded smoothly and beautifully, for the first 6 hours of gameplay I didn't have a single CTD I thought to myself "omg I've done it, I've actually got it working properly" When I got my first CTD I was a bit bummed but thought "hey it was to be expected at some point" I reloaded and carried on and all was fine, but it's started to get more and more frequent again until the point where last night, after 1 day and 3 hours of game time it has started crashing every 10 minutes. Nothing has changed in said load order since the start of the playthrough (I have just finished playing depravity and loved it so wanted to install project valkryie but i haven't yet and am loathed to now its started to play up on me) the only thing I have noticed is that my save file has gone up from 30mb to 42mb so I don't know if save game bloating is the issue? I'm pretty bad at NOT looting every guy I kill because I hate having to go and vendor after EVERY quest so I don't know if leaving 1000 raiders with guns and clothes on the ground is ultimately causing this? (if someone has suggestions how to clear this up if its an issue great let me know how) Aside from the CTD's the game plays fine, FPS is stable around 55/60 most of the time, with a dip to 40 around boston city area, the only other bug I've noticed is that in my game connie abernathy has no eyes and when I talk to her, her entire head is invisible, then after the conversation ends her head is back but she has no eyes again, it was very freaky I just avoid talking to her! I don't get how it's gone from being beautifully stable to back to being almost unplayable again when nothing in the config has changed. here is the core info about my setup (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME) If I've missed anything please let me know. If anyone is able to help I'll love you forever!! Mod Management - Done through Vortex, custom rules have been setup to manage load order, load order loot sorted but custom rules to run depravity, diamond city expansion, left field (bleachers) in a specific order as they work together but only in the right order, followed mod authors instructions on this (actually aside from depravity these plugins only really effect diamond city and this is one place i've not had any CTDS) CTD log - I've made a map of everywhere I've had CTD's it can be found here, https://i.imgur.com/GQPNlIZ.png System Specs - CPU - Intel core i7-4770 CPU @3.40ghz RAM - 32GB Graphics Card - NVIDIA geforce RTX 2060 Hard Drive - 3TB mechanical (Physical) drive 1TB free (Yes an SSD would be a good investment and it's on my list) I have a 60GB SSD that is too full to take Fallout4!! Load Order - (Couldn't figure out how to get this from vortex so had to load NMM) mods you won't recognise on this list 1) Tempest Power Armor, This is a custom power armor made for me by Justice123 it changes nothing else and doesn't change a levelled list or cell as they aren't in game I add the pieces with the console so won't conflict with anything. 2) mods starting bob are typically ones I've made, I used to make dirty mods being a n00b (like deleting references instead of disabling) all my mods have been re-built from the ground up and cleaned with fo4 edit. Also a large amount of the mods on this list are sim settlements addons and most of the light ones are city plans, I trust Kinggath and his team explicitly :D half of my current load order has come from kinggath's season 2 lets play mod list that he posted. I'm running F4SE as well obviously.   25. Hi Storm Yea i'm aware of the day/night cycle, but what I'm talking about is the lights on the walls not producing any light (like I can see physical lights on the wall) but they aren't on, so it's not just dim or dull it's pitch black,
