  1. Your not alone, I have the same problem & evidently allot of others do as well. The thing we have in common is were all using AMD graphics cards & the new update is causing problems. I suggest dowgrading to the previous version.
  2. So as anyone who played previous elder scrolls games knows they cut back on the variety of spells allot in skyrim, especially the illusion ones. What I'm wondering is if there is anyone who already has made or is willing to make some useful illusion spells for different situations. I'm talking spells like Mind control, to turn enemies into allies (not make them go insane) - different lengths & power levels that would get more powerful via talents eventually with a master level one that is permanent. as well as spells that boost your skills with persuasion, intimidate & ones to make your partially invisible to boost your sneak chances.
  3. Seconded, it would add more realism to the game & could even allow us alchemists to catch some of the rarer fish out there needed for alchemy potions/poisons.
  4. Well IDK how to fix your current game without set av, however if you want to get more special points at the start try the special-er mod. It will give you the choice of +5, +10, +15 or -5, -10, -15 special points to start with. With that, some perks & enhancements from the NV clinic you can just about reach 10 with all stats, or alternatively you can play with lower stats for a harder game. PS: I would also suggest trying the perk every level mod with it.
  5. Personally in previous elder scrolls games I took a liking to the Paladin or battle mage type. That being a plate wearer which uses 2 handed weapons & close range offensive magic, with minor restoration skills. That being said this time around I had to make slight adjustments & now prefer more of a spell blade type character. That is to say someone with 1 handed weapons (preferably swords), & light armor with decent skill in destruction & minor in restoration. The light armor keeps you mobile & thus able to close gaps quickly. The destruction skill allows you to weaken an enemy before getting into melee & finishing the fight with a sword. You also want to be sure to watch your magic levels because the light armor does mean you will need to heal more often. This role will become much better with the creation kit's tools though, because that will allow the invention of new spells like heal over time spells & more melee range spells which are light on magic cost.
  6. Well generally speaking they were evil bastards & thus should be killed. That said what happened to them was a fate worse then death in many regards. They were enslaved, forced to undergo mutations & basically de evolved into a blind feral tribal like race. So I say kill them all & put them out of their misery before they become a threat to the above world.
  7. Seems like a great idea, could even be very fun for use in combat. Just think of it a guy is coming at you swinging a weapon or charging up a spell attack & you kick em in the balls which stuns/makes them lose their concentration for a few seconds.
  8. This ^ exactly. Teleporting is possible with console commands, but won't work right unless you specify exactly where to go That being said I think it would be much easier to create a spell which creates copies of yourself much like the greybeards do during the main quest line. Doing that could work quite well & be very neat for distracting enemies.
  9. If your really having trouble finding people to feed on I suggest you just recruit a follower, use the "I need you to do something "option & tell them to sleep in a bed. I've been using this option every few days in game with my dark elf vampire to feed on Lydia & so far she doesn't have a clue what's going on. If your quick enough you can feed off of them, just don't let anyone else see you do it or they freak out & try to kill you.
  10. Well if you talk to the orcs in skyrim who live in the orc strongholds they practice multiple having multiple wives, at least their tribal leaders do. Among the nords who still practice the old ways there is also little support of marriage, as they just feel if two people love/like each other then they should be together. So lore wise I don't think it would be to out there, though allot of the more "civilized" groups especially the imperials & there supporters would not like it (at least openly, though if you really listen to what's implied several of the prominent imperials & imperial supporters have a "relationship" on the side along with their marriage.)
  11. Strictly speaking according to the elder scrolls lore most of the human & elf races can produce children with each other. Though it is very unlikely especially between certain groups which have had long lasting hatred between each other. Examples of that would be Dark elves & humans (nords especially) High elves & any humans other then bretons. etc etc... There are some groups however that are completely unable to have children with other groups. Examples of that would be argonians & khajiit. It is also unknown if orcs can have children with non orcs (except in the case of vampires as was seen in oblivion's arena quests), though it could be possible but extremely unlikely as most non orcs don't find orcs good looking & would "get rid" of any baby that happened to come along.
  12. This ^ is actually part of the old school vampire lore that came way before all the crap which came along in the 1900's when vampires were seen in romantic novels. Side note that TV show used to actually have allot of real classic lore on supernatural creatures, at least back in the first couple of seasons before it started to go down hill.
  13. Generally speaking It would be a much better bet to get more magika on level up then stack more magicka regeneration enchants then it is to stack cost reduction enchants. This is because with the right enchants you can regenerate magic at a 300 to even 600% rate (depending on enchanting skill) which will allow you to have more longevity. Generally speaking however I'm sure allot of us would much rather prefer having the destruction enchants boost the damage of those spells instead of reducing their costs since at higher levels it can take allot of blasts to down enemies.
  14. This exactly ^. We can never realy be sure what exactly happened to them all we know is why whatever happened to them happened. That is to say they were f#cking with forces & beings that nobody should f#ck with & they suffered the consequences.
  15. Yes & it makes many encounters with them & others so much more fun.
