NVSE not Running!
FrostFlake replied to FrostFlake's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
I don't how but it worked (magic?)! r u a god? Kudos to you (82 now)! Thanks a lot!!!!! Happy Face :D Edit: Sorry for my immaturity above but thank you a lot! -
Two weeks ago, I couldn't get NVSE to work so I waited patiently for NVSE (1_Beta5). I installed this one and it still didn't work I don't know what I'm doing wrong. These are the steps I take to run it: 1.) NVSE_Loader is located in my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas" 2.) My Fallout New Vegas is fully updated via steam. 3.) I made sure that "Enable Steam Community In-Game" in enabled. 4.) I "Run as Administrator" when I run NVSE_Loader in its directory. 5.) A black console pops up very quickly and disappears in half a second 6.) then the Fallout New Vegas window opens up, and I click play. 7.) Then a window pops up saying I don't have NVSE installed (Official Pipboy Readius) and RTS mod says I don't have it enabled also. 8.) I type "GetNVSEVersion" into the console to check myself but it doesn't recognize the command. Any help will be appreciated! The following are proofs. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/3418/proof1u.png http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/4885/proof2o.png http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4549/proof3h.png I really wanted to play Official Pipboy Readius - New Vegas Edition, Enclave Commander & RTS - Real Time Settler! Please Help & Thank You for time.

When I was playing New Vegas with the ported Enclave Commander V1 mod from archerSC. I have discovered something really interesting. When I used the Vertibird transport, it gave me an option if I wanted to go to the citadel, and I said yes. Next thing I know that I was on an open plain with nothing near by miles away. I checked my pip-boy 200 and it said I was at DC! This put me in awe as I thought of all the wonderful things I done here. I was disappointed by land so I simply took the Fallout3.esm and put it in first load order (crashes if below FalloutNV.esm). then I typed in the console "coc megatoncommonhouse". I was immeditaly at Megaton greeted by Jericho (He looks older?[check in slide show]) and Lucas Sims was WHITE! I met the religious ATOM people again and explored inside vault 101 and immediately given quest Escape? There is lots of red acclimation marks but that easy to fix if I just move all Fallout 3 files in NV. The other big thing is, DLC works & also the FO3 mods!!!!!!!! I encourage people to try this little stunt (Requires Fallout 3 -duh & dur) & who knows, this might become a mod of some kind like this (Without redistricting any files from fallout 3 but instructions how to do so but requires fallout 3[& helps Bethasoftworks in the process because people will be encouraged to buy Fallout 3 for PC since its like a mega DLC package.) If you upload anything which aims at linking the two games (the main esm files) together, even if you are not sharing resources, you will be banned. No joke. Tell me what you guys think, and try this neat trick (assuming your console works[had to disable something in my computer for it to work]) Pictures below to show example of what I had accomplished with one file! <snip> Rest of the pictures are <snip> -Slideshow again tell me what you guys think. I know I'm certainly creating an .esp to make this more compatible. ========================================================================== Warning!!! For some reason you lose all items in yours inventory so drop or store all your items before doing this. ========================================================================== Again, tell me what you guys think. And of course there will be absolutely no redistribution between game files if this does turn into a mod or something. This also makes all ports from FO3 to NV useless when you can just use mods from Fallout 3! -Why should we work harder to accomplish the same thing again!?

To all the people "porting" FO3 mods
FrostFlake replied to Ez0n3's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Just accepts the authors terms and asked for permission. I ported a Halo mod from Toxa01 of FO3 and asked him if I can upload the Halo mod myself but he said no so I respected his wishes. I'm not mad at his decision but grateful that he replied and didn't make a fuss over it. If you created a great mod and plan on uploading or not uploading, wouldn't you be mad if someone took the fun from you and created a silly version of your original mod. Even if it was exactly the same as your mod, it is still not their decision to make. -
Halo mod; but not for public
FrostFlake replied to FrostFlake's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I got a reply from Toxa01, it goes as follows "2010/10/30 The Nexus Forums <[email protected]> toxa01, FrostFlake has sent you this email from http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php. May you please port your Halo mod from Fallout 3 to Fallout: New Vegas. or If I may be granted permission/approval to port your Halo Mod for FO:NV compatible. (Of course 100% credits to you & not even 1% to me) either way, I would love to see this mod in action on New Vegas. Thank you for your time! --------------------------------------------------- Please note that The Nexus Forums has no control over the contents of this message. --------------------------------------------------- sorry, but no,i dont wanna see my ported mods in New Vegas" This was my first e-mail (before I started the mod) and will respect the author's wishes. The Only way we can get another Halo mod into FO: NV if we start from scratch or he changes his mind OR you port it yourself to your own benefit privately without uploading it. But for now I sorry to say this file won't be on the net. -
Try player.removefromallfactions into the console. Don't know if it works (because if reputation is a script to add certain levels [Good or bad] of faction to your character {probably why they fight you you because you are marked as an enemy in their faction} then it should work. My reference is here. http://www.cheatcc.com/pc/falloutnewvegascheatscodes.htm if it doesn't work dress up as their faction and talk to the people that put good words for you into a certain faction, but it cost though. (example, Fantastic at Helios One)

Custom Weapons in New Vegas
FrostFlake replied to maximusnz's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
99% chance its built in FO:NV but not in the actual game because if you check NV in G.E.C.K, it has all DLC files in it but not in used like the aliens for example. 5 min. later All I found was the shishkebab in G.E.C.K under weapons so I guess I'm wrong. :P I even used text search to look for it and got none. (Though I still have all the DLC in geck) -
All halo armor and weapons are converted from FO3 (Original) to FO: NV. -(setting of the weapons will be different from the original since I haven't played the original) Problem is I need permission from the author to upload this. :( It is simple 2 Mb file that needs the original Halo files from FO3 to NV directory instead. This is basically a patch to port it from one directory to another to make it compatible. But i still can't upload because Vagrant0 doesn't recommended it; when everyone had that argument about uploading other peoples files here. -Forum There are basically two components which count as theft of a mod: 1). Unauthorized editing/distribution or resources (meshes, textures, sounds, and other objects which exist outside the .esp/esm, both in whole and in part. 2). Unauthorized editing/distribution of .esp/esm related content (scripts, game settings (to a degree), UI settings, duplicate forms, duplicate actors) which is unique to that mod. If either of these are present, the mod is liable for removal and the uploader may be banned. You can certainly look at the .esp and re-create it from scratch, but you are not allowed to duplicate work. We moderators have ways of being able to tell which is which. then compatibility patches should be fine right? just getting clarification and a 100% yes or no answer. As it currently stands, this is not advised since authors may take offense to people just randomly making patches for mods which they were working on converting themselves and just start pulling their mods. It is NOT SUGGESTED now or any time soon in regards to FO3 and FONV content since there are so many people uploading compatibility patches for mods. If you want to force a clear yes or no answer, the answer at this time will be a no. These are the images as proofs of work. http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5628/screenshot37q.png http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5628/screenshot37q.th.png http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/7600/screenshot36.th.png http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/6163/screenshot35.th.png http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/3493/screenshot11jc.th.png http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/5530/screenshot13t.th.png http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/6629/screenshot14r.th.png http://img574.imageshack.us/img574/9137/screenshot21.th.png http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/4295/screenshot12a.th.png http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/7172/screenshot18k.th.png Rest of the pictures are located here. If anyone can come in contact with the original author, please do and show this forum to prove the work that has been put into this. Thank You! (Because I need the author's permission to Upload) For those that are wondering, yes they are all iron sighted. (sniper is scoped though)

New distribution permissions options for all files
FrostFlake replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Great Idea! I was thinking the same idea but yours is better then I had in mind.
