  1. I won't mention how, as it would be considered spoilers, but I got my hands on a Thalmor Dossier on Ulfric Stormcloak. There are a few things in there that made me dislike Ulfric, but at the same time made me rally to the Stormcloaks. Apparently, the Thalmor want the civil war to last quite a while, yet a Stormcloak victory is to be avoided. Now, this next bit is speculation at best, and since no one's ever accused me of being a military strategist, I could be flat wrong, but from my understanding of Skyrim's geography, there are two ways into the region, either by sea or by land. If by sea, then the boats have to approach from the north, and if by land, troops have to come through the one road from Cyrodil into Skyrim. If the Stormcloaks are victorious, then the ports are controlled by strict Anti-Thalmor troops, and the road to Cyrodill would be guarded as well. When the Thalmor invaded the Empire the first time, they seem to have done it exclusively by land, after building up their control of the surrounding provinces. I haven't been able to find any info on specific battles or strategies, so this is my best guess. Since it seems that most of the Thalmor's military power is from their control of magic, an ocean offensive probably wasn't the way to go, and things probably haven't changed in the 30 years since the war. I should probably cut this off before it turns into a post about how to defeat a Thalmor invasion of Skyrim and theories on Thalmor battle strategies, but sufficed to say I think that the 'Bad Guys' are the Thalmor, the Stormcloaks winning is bad for them, and thus - I vote yay.
  2. This is definitely late, but I had the same problem, tried redownloading and it didn't work. Then I realized that for some reason BOSS had relocated the DLC .esm files fairly low on the load order (for .esm files) I moved all the DLC content back up to right behind FalloutNV.esm, and everything worked perfectly. Well, I had another error, but it was just another load order issue.
  3. For some reason, and this has been going on for a while now, all my downloads from The Nexus are turned into .7z files. Even files that aren't .7z. The original extensions are erased, and it's only through trial, error, and sometimes sheer luck that I manage to get the right ones edited back in. Does anyone know why this is happening, or better yet, how to stop it? -edit- Just some information that will help- I'm running the latest version of Opera, and I'm saving all these files to a New Vegas mod folder on an external 1TB Seagate HDD.
  4. I the file might be corrupt? I'm not really sure what you did. But as for not being able to upload it to the forums, there's a 250k upload limit, which is mostly used for pictures. I think your best bet would be to get the mod again and start over; this time backing up and not doing a total conversion.
  5. I'd recommend getting this utility called Wrye Flash/garybash. That should tell you if you're missing anything, or if there's some kind of conflict FOMM isn't telling you about. If that doesn't work, I'd say you have to do it trial and error style, just disable your mods one at a time until you find the specific mod that's causing the error. If it were a load order problem, then FO3Edit would've noticed it easily. --Edit-- Sorry, forgot to put in the python installation instructions. Basically, you're installing a FO3 version of Oblivion's Wrye Bash, which can be found here. You'll want to install Wrye Bash first, because that'll install the required python software. Then, you'll follow Wrye Flash's installation instructions, which basically amount to unzip and drop in your FO3 directory. Then it's just a matter of launching with the Wrye Bash Launcher in your /Fallout3/Mopy file. Yes, even though the program is called 'Wrye Flash' the launcher is called 'Wrye Bash'.
  6. I recently got a clean install of FO3 and decided that I wanted to do the whole overhaul thing. It took me a few hours to get it right (or so I thought) and I've managed to play perfectly well with no unusual crashes. Except for some reason, the guns and motorcycle added by the Fallout Wanderer's Edition seem to have some kind of flickering texture/skin issue. I found a few people who had similar problems, but they didn't have ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated! active, which was their problem. I have AII enabled, although I have toggled it a few times just in case. Here's my load order: And here is a picture of the texture/skin issue, involving FWE's motorcycle fast travel http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac216/Terzhus/2011-08-16_00002.jpg http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac216/Terzhus/2011-08-16_00001.jpg I have also properly imported the two project beauty esp's near the top. I say imported, because they aren't mergeable.
