  1. Absolutely. Why should you be forced to use a controller if K&M is your preferred input choice? You will need 2 mods. DSFix, which should be considered mandaory; and DSMouseFix. Both are available on the Dark Souls Nexus. DSMouseFix will address ANY issues you will encounter with the mouse. As a matter of fact for your consideration, I'm a preferred K&M user. I have clocked up over 150 hours using these mods in tandem. Together, they are an absolute necessity if you want to use K&M and experience the game at it's fullest without crippling results. A LOT of people will insist you that YOU MUST USE A CONTROLLER. Well, "*censored*!", I say. They should stop spreading these untruths. These guys are just jackasses and are ignorant or honestly don't care about your plight. What works for them isn't necessarily right for everyone. Dark Souls can easily be made to work with K&M. DSFix and DSMFix. Just do it. EASILY!!! -Windebieste.
  2. Currently, the wyverns found in the Valley of Drakes are colored blue within a blue environment. Would it be possible to have them recolored to help contrast them in that location? Maybe, even have them coloured to match the Hellkite Dragon on the bridge? That would also lend some consistency to them as well. I don't think this would be too demanding of a task as it's only a skin change and not outside of plausible practicality. Thanks to anyone who chooses to embark upon this request. -Windebieste.
  3. In so many ways, Dark Souls resembles the old id Software title, Quake... Hell, it's even got zombies. knights, ogres, demons, slimy things that roam the sewers, big assed ugly bosses and dismal castles riddled with evil. Is not Dark Souls a modern RPG interpretation of Quake? OK, OK... I don't expect shotguns, nailguns and rocket launchers to be modded and integrated into the gameplay (although that would be fun) but I can easily see how Quake logos and bloody Pentagrams of Protection would look at home embelllishing the walls, shields, armour, architecture and other specific items wouldn't go astray. So is there anyone available who loves Quake and wants to add this ambience to Dark Souls graphically? Thank you for reading.
  4. Ummm... anyway, moving on right now... I experienced a couple of other anomalies regarding these mods. Firstly, I am curious, is this elongated 'decaying xenomorph' model typical - or is it an error in my install of the mod?: http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/windebieste/DecayingXenomorphAnomaly.jpg ^ Wow! This dead Alien is stretched into wild contortions and looks like something out of 'The Thing' I also noticed that with decapitations and dismemberings, that the bloodied stump of the xenomorph is not displayed correctly as it appears dramatically disjointed away from the rest of the model. Here is an image of what I mean. The yellowish bloody stump of the neck is clearly floating away from the shoulders by a significant margin: http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/windebieste/BloodyStumpAnomaly.jpg ^You can see the floor through the severed neck of the Alien (cursor location) and the ichor coloured bloody stump is free floating off to the mid left. Any ideas on what is causing these odd anomalies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Windebieste.
  5. You know how some things just happen and such events as these have to be seen to be believed because a verbal account just isn't enough. Well, this was one such occasion. I was roaming around one of the (formerly) mirelurk infested areas bumping off Aliens and one of them slumped over some railing into a bent over position. Well, at the time, I had Dogmeat with me and he decided to take a whiff: http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/windebieste/DogmeatSniffsXenoCrotch.jpg Yeah, true. It did take some minor goading to get him do this; but hey, dogs. They just can't resist sniffing someone else's crotch. ...no matter who or what they are. -Windebieste.
  6. Hey, thanks. It worked: http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/windebieste/DodgyAlienSkinsNoMore.jpg No more dodgy lookin' Aliens. Cool! You made a total stranger very happy. -Windebieste.
  7. OK, this is good info I am not aware of. What's FOMM; and what is 'archive invalidation'? Sorry, but these are the very first mods I have installed for 'Fallout3'. Thanks. -Windebieste.
  8. Hi. I am hoping someone can help me with this little problem. I downloaded the ALIEN vs PREDATOR mod and ALIENS vs Mirlurks mod. Both mods appear to be installed correctly but the skins on the Alien models look totally fubar'ed and do not display correctly, as can be seen in this image: http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/windebieste/DodgyAlienSkins.jpg They should look like this: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/14524-3-1284258112.jpg I am a big 'ALIEN' fan; and I think mirelurks suck big cooties. So I am anxiously looking forward to having Xenos running around in 'Fallout3', replacing those hokey lookin', overgrown mutant crab things. Thank you for any help. -Windebieste.
