Hi and thanks in advance to anyone that can help me. I was level 55 in Far harbor (I have all DLC's) and my game suddenly started crashing with no warning. I had around 50 mods. I have mostly the same mods on my windows 7 laptop and no issues. It kept crashing so I started a fresh game a couple of times. It kept crashing to desktop (no warning and no error message) between levels 11 and 20. I ended up deleting my mods and deleting Fo4, then re installing it. I started the game to get it going and then proceeded to re install mods, a few at a time. And at level 12 it just crashed. Below are my pc specs and currently installed mods which I installed through Vortex (except for F4SE). Desktop: Windows 10 Home Processor: IntelĀ® Core i5-9400 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed ram: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) Nvidea GeForce RTX2060 I am not pc literate so I hope that is enough info on my pc. Nor am I mod savvy. Mods In order shown in Vortex: (F4SE 0.6.21 rel23) 1.10.163 01: (CHCBBE Curvy) Tighter vault suit with physics 1.1.0 02: Beautiful female enemies v2.0 03: beautiful female settlers v2.0 FOMOD-Hotfix 04: Bethini standalone version 67-3-5-1593829216 05: Better Settlers v2.0 DLC master fomod 06: Bodyslide & outfit studio 5.3.1 07: Caliente's beautiful bodies enhancer v2.6.3 08: DD is a god all in one enhanced build limit 2.0.0 09: Eli's armor compendium-cbbe & bodyslide 1.5 10: Erotic paintings 0.0.0 11: Frankly urban cloth all in one 0.0.0-v03 12: Looks menu preset v1-6-20-12631-1-6-20-1604483725.7 13: Lots more facial hair v1.21 14: Lots more female hairstyles v1.33 15: Lots more male hairstylesv1.21 16: (MCM) Mod configuration menu 1.39 17: Nezzar's ultimate collection 1.0.0 18: Pimp workshop 1.8 19: Ponytail hairstyles by Azur v2_5A-BA2 version I believe I have all mod dependencies. I am certain F4SE is correctly installed. The last 2 mods I downloaded were beautiful female enemies and beautiful female settlers if that matters. Also, I was at Starlight drive in about to do that settlement mission. Big thanks to all the awesome people who make mods and thanks again to anyone that can help.

First I want to thank the awesome people who make mods. Without you, games would be a lot less re playable. So thank you. My issues are: 01: Mutants freeze in combat. So far it's just mutants and my current playthrough level is 21 at this time. I can still shoot or hit them and hear and see the appropriate effect. For example if I stab one, I hear the sound and see blood spurt out. I cannot loot them unless a body part such as an arm or leg gets cut off and falls to the ground. 02: Piper is kind of a neon purple from the neck down. Her outfit is fine. Her actual body is purplish 03: On certain settlement roofs (not all), I cannot place anything. I know it isn't a computer issue. My desktop is more than enough for Fo4.

Labs22 I understand what you are saying. Where I live I do not have unlimited internet so I have to manage my internet carefully. I have no issue with the amount of ads, but I agree with you that they are to big. I wish they would reduce the size of the ads. That has to be horrible for someone with a small screen.

I play fallout 4 on my laptop and I remember having to modify some ini and pref settings I think. I now have a desktop and am trying to mod fallout 4. I am having issues. Do I still need to go into the ini and pref and make changes? If yes, can someone please tell me step by step where to go and what to do? I can't remember. Thank you and thanks in advance for anyone who responds with help. P.S.: I already have a few mods installed. If I have to do the ini and pref changes, should I delete every mod and start over, or is it safe to leave them? Thanks again.

I can literally log in to nexus, download a few mods and close my browser. I use duckduckgo. 20 minutes later I want to go back to nexus and I have to log in again. It used to not be this way. I was always logged in. So why do I have to re log in everytime I leave the internet and return?

Hi, First off I want to thank all the people who make mods. I know just enough about that to know how hard it is and how time consuming and frustrating it can be (I failed miserably). So thank you. Without you, Skyrim would not be as popular as it is today. With that being said, I can't believe no one has t hought about this. Or maybe someone has and it's not possible, I don't know. But here is my idea. A player home (doesn't need to be fancy) that is set up specifically for follower/companion storage when not in use. Yes there are mods that are like that, but I have something a little unique in mind. Have the home set up and safe for at least 10 followers/companions. Here is what no other mod has that I am aware of. Is it possible to set up a gong or something that when rung, summons everybody in the home. They drop what they are doing and run to the gong location. Kind of like the bell is supposed to summon settlers in fallout 4. Is that possible in Skyrim? Thank you for your time

Hi, I am looking for a good, solid home to store followers/companions in 1 location. It sucks trying to go all over the place and figure out who is where...lol I have underground bathhouse and bathing beauties but they are so large and there are so many different sections it is hard searching the whole place for specific followers/companions. I have tried Dragonmount and it seems stable for about 4, maybe 5 followers. I downloaded and tried a home today called cradlerock pond or something like that. And I have tried a few others I can't remember. I did try slave way manor and was happy with it, but when I had to reinstall the game, the version I found wasn't what I had. I am looking for a simple player home large enough to store 10-12 followers/companions when not in use. Dragonsmount would have been perfect if I didn't start losing framerate after about 5 (I think) followers. It's design made it very easy to search for who I am looking for. I would love a suggestion. I have downloaded several player homes trying to find something and it gets tedious downloading, installing, checking and then uninstalling...lol Can someone please offer a few suggestions? Thanks in advance for any helpful responses and thanks to t he people who make mods. Without people who make mods, Skyrim would not be as popular as it is today. So thank you.

I have to rant and I cannot contact Bathesda! So in Steam settings for Fallout 4 I have it set to only update on game launch and I launch via F4SE. My understanding is I should not get updates. Yesterday I logged into Steam and Fo4 had (update paused) next to it. The last time I exited Steam and went offline that was not there. I decided to go ahead and update. And of course that screwed with some of my mods and I still don't have all that sorted out. After the update completed I went back into Steam offline mode. Today I received a message stating Steam needed an update. Thinking it was actually Steam that needed the update I logged in. It couldn't be Fo4 right? Because I updated that yesterday. Yes it was Fallout 4 that needed another freaking update! It says update paused next to the game. I went into Steam discussion and posted something similar to this and now I am here. I have had it with Bathesda. I will not purchase Fallout 76 and will not purchase the new Skyrim when it finally releases as long as Bathesda does game updates like Fo4. My question is, is there a way to avoid the updates? Is there a legal way to play Fo4 on pc without going through Steam? Thank you to anyone that responds.

Hi. First and foremost I want to thank all those who create mods for our enjoyment. It is much appreciated. And thank you to anyone that responds. I hope everyone is having a great 2018 so far. So I finally got FO3 modded and working the way I want. It took a very long time and it is not heavily modded. Everything was working fine. A few days ago I decided to start a new game. No mod changes were involved. I just deleted all my saves and started over. I couldn't even make it to the menu screen due to CDT. I uninstalled all mods and added 1 by 1 until I found out which one. So I know which mod is causing it. My question is why would a mod stop working simply due to starting a new game? I don't understand that. Thank you to anyone that responds. In case anyone is interested, yes I use FOSE and archiveinvalidationinvalidated (or whatever it is). And the mod is AP Prostitution by JoshNZ. I have gone through comments and forums looking for answers and posted in the comments. The mod is so old I really don't expect a response though.

I have never used AVS for video games but I have been using AVS for years and it has been excellent. You can download the fully functional free version and use all it's features. It will have a watermark though until you purchase it. It is worth it.

How do you know when you should stop adding mods?

Agreed KainThePheonix and thanks for the reply. I hadn't given much thought to scripted mods. Just to be sure I have it right, a scripted mod is something that sets up specific events at certain times, like a quest mod. Is that correct? Would a follower mod such as Sofia the funny full voiced follower count as scripted? What about a weather mod that has rain or snow?- 9 replies

Yeah I love my little recording studio, it is fun. My primary recording software is Magix MusicMaker 2015 Premium, under $100 and not hard to learn. And the quality isn't bad. I also have Cubase Artist 8.5 (a lot of pros use Cubase) but I haven't really figured it out yet. I use a Yamaha MX61 keyboard running through an Audiobox USB to my laptop. I can also plug in my guitar. I don't have a mic because I can't carry a tune in a bucket. If you ever have the room and want recording software, I do recommend Magix. It's under $100 and I have unlimited tracks. When I did the Skyrim song I used I think 94 tracks. As for a mic, they have decent ones for less than $100.- 9 replies

No problem. I hope it helps. I like recording stuff to except in my case I have a little recording studio and make music. If I knew how, I would probably record myself playing Skyrim or FO3/FONV and try to put my own music on it...lol- 9 replies

Thank you both for the responses. I don't know what my frame rate is or how to find out. All I know is it plays fine as far as not having any lag. I do have occasional cdt but at this point i'm just assuming is Bathesda being buggy. It doesn't happen often enough to be much more than a little irritating. Qwerty Zelder I clicked your link and checked out your YouTube channel (i subscribed). I don't know if it will work for you but you can try AVSforyou editing and audio software. It is decent software and they offer audio and video. And you don't need a powerful pc. You can download a trial version that is fully functional but has watermarks and try it for free. If it works for you, you can purchase it for around $60 (U.S.). Once you purchase any one of their products, all of their other products are free to download (full version, no watermarks). And they offer tech support. It's not lightning response time but they do work with you to resolve issues. I have been using their audio/video software for years.- 9 replies

First and foremost I want to thank all the modders for what they do. It is very much appreciated and in my opinion Bathesda owes you a lot because without being modded, Skyrim probably wouldn't be as popular as it is today after all this time. Thank you. And I also want to thank whoever answers my question. I'm running an Alienware 15 laptop and have 115 active plug ins and 102 active mods. I'm just wondering what is a good indication that I am reaching the limit of what my laptop can handle. I assume it's when the loading screen gets rediculously slow and it starts crashing more often. It's already slower and does crash sometimes. (cdt). And occasionally it freezes and stops responding when I try to continue a game or try to do something within the game. As for frame rate, so far it runs smoothly and there is no lag in the game. Can someone that knows what's what please confirm if that's the case, or let me know what to look for if it's not. Just a suggestion, the answer may be something NEXUS wants to post for everyone, especially people like me. Thank you
