  1. I am trying to create a custom armor using existing skyrim meshes. I took the minersclothes as a base with a new texture and want to add pauldrons and bags from other existing skyrim meshes. I can export the parts that I want, texture them and generally make them look great in nifskope but when I try to preview them in the CK the bags and other extra armor items that have been added to the original minersclothes base become warped and glitch like crazy, does anyone know an easy to follow tutorial that can tell me how to correctly add multiple meshes to and existing skyrim mesh? all the ones i have found are for custom armors created in Blender/3DS Max and do not cover the issues i am having.
  2. I had to reinstall creation kit when my OS died and now the preview menu is shrink to a very slim section to the point it is not usable. I have tried uninstalling CK and reinstalling to see if it was from a bad install but I still get the same issue. I can't expand it to get to the be the right size for me to see anything: Any ideas on how I can fix this?
  3. thanks, i was able to get i to work, somehow i had deleted all of the scripts from the script folder.... don't know how my game was working without them though @.@

I am trying to create a new script, however, after naming my script and setting the extends (using the basic activemagiceffect) and clicking ok I get this error message: The extends script does not exist, please pick one that does. I have tried closing the CK and reopening it with a new file (in case it was the mod file) however i get the same issue. any help on what is causing this would be appreciated.

I have been using th CK for a while now and all of the sudden when I tried to make a new mod I could not edit the new interior cell I created, I can place objects into it but if I want to rename the interior data or change the lighting, encounter zone etc. the apply and cancel buttons are available but to ok button is grayed out, any idea what is causing this? was it an update and now there is a check box somewhere i need to hit to edit it?
  6. I have a mesh and I want to add a furniture marker to it so it can be used as a chair, does anyone know how to go about adding a marker to an object the does not have any?

I have created a new mesh I want to use as part of my mod and the problem I am having with it is the textures that I have for it are not showing up right, the color for the texture is there but the pattern of that texture is not, I don't know if my normal maps are wrong or if it is the setup of the branching for the nif file itself, I can send a copy of the file if someone is willing to look at it for me. There is an image attached of what I am talking about.
  8. i got the issue to fix by checking the "has full LOD' in the object box. temporary fix till the devs fix the issue with a patch or something.
  9. you could try my mod - Tamagen Manor, I am still working on the clutter (I hate the stupid little cylinder pillows on the bed and am working on fixing them) there is a forge, and a display area, however it is all on the second floor away from the living space of the house itself, and outdoors is a huge flower garden :D

I have a mod I am working on and would like to add some square and rectangle pillows ( the small cylinder pillows on the bed suck) I have nifskope on my computer but other than changing the texture of a pre-exisiting mesh I have no idea what I'm doing as far as modeling. If someone could create 2 meshes for the pillows (1 square, 1 rectangle) I can texture them myself.

I am making a house mod, which I have posted on the nexus as a WIP and I have been able to fix all but one issue, the house exterior I want to use "sthalmorembassy.nif" will show up when first arriving and entering the house but will disappear once you exit the interior and remain missing from then on. I know that this is not the only object having this issue as a dirtcliff I was using also disappeared. I have even tried making a new object and importing it into the game and the issue remains, other house exteriors in the same location do not disappear. This is the only issue preventing me from completing the mod, please advise. The mod is called Tamagen Manor - WIP.
  12. I am having this exact issue with my mod, I am using sthalmorembassy.nif for a house mod, when you load up the game, the house is there at first and then disappears when you come back outside after entering the first time :/ If you find a solution please let me know!

  14. I want to retexture the exterior of the thalmor embassy. Does anyone know where I can find the texture since there is no unpacker out yet? I want to remove the snow so I can create a new object using the snow free building in an area without snow.
