Hello friends. Like so many, I'm coming back into the game to play and have fun and was looking for mod suggestions. Obviously, not everything is updated yet for the new patch, but I have faith that the community will start getting things updated. As of right now, the only mod I know is getting added once it's updated is Sim Settlements 2 (never used it 2, but I always used the original) and mods associated with it (not sure if it has all the different add-on mods like the original had). But any suggestions on others? I'm not really looking for just big game changers but quality of life mods, companions/settlers mods. One I remember having that was a must is something to control the release of CC items. Putting them in the hands of wastelanders (both good and bad) or to add triggers to the quests and such. Also want one of the mods to improve the different factions, I mainly go in with the Minutemen but would also like to see all the other factions improved, including NPC factions like the gunners and even raiders (is there a mod that puts the Nuka world raider bits and bobs into the Commonwealth?). I'm also not in any rush as my next days off and when I'll actually get to play is Monday, so even if something isn't updated yet then that isn't a problem right away.

After playing the game for a bit, one mods I can see a need for is one every other Bethesda game needs, an upscaling of the walking speed. Just enough to match the walking speed of an NPC in the game, so that you don't have to do an occasional run to catch up with them.

I know a lot of companies don't like to allow achievements with mods. So the question is, is Larian one of those companies?

I dont want one, so not everyone wants one. I dont want to play a child romancing other children nor do I want a child seducing an adult.

Ill add my voice to the support for this as well. -
[Mod Request] Robe/Clothing Variety
Tilarium replied to zblues's topic in Hogwarts Legacy's Discussion
I second this. Variety is the spice of life for sure. But I would say to keep it limited to just school robes and clothing options. -
The issues I think with longer hair in most games is the same. Physics and clipping issues will be rampant and so it’s easier to just not have it as an option. I do agree though, long hair options are nice to have.

[Mod Request] Stop Ruining Puzzles
Tilarium replied to minimeep1's topic in Hogwarts Legacy's Discussion
On the surface, something like this should be doable. Just a matter of replacing the lines in the sound files with a blank one. That said, I have no experience modding unreal or working with .pak files, so it might not be as simple as that. -
[Mod Request] Altered Sirona Voice
Tilarium replied to d3im0s99's topic in Hogwarts Legacy's Discussion
Gotcha. That's a better explanation of why it was taken down then "it's not a bug". As for me, I could care less if the character is trans or not, or if the VA is trans or not. For me, the voice just does not even come close to matching the appearance of the character and so it's a bit... off when her cut scenes come up. -
[Mod Request] Altered Sirona Voice

So we're only allowed to have mods that fix bugs? Is it a bug then that brooms do not look like Thomas the Train or Shrek? -

Yeah, just noticed that too. Saw it when I was browsing earlier while on my phone at work and now it's not there. -
[Mod Request] Saga Brooms (Nimbus 2000/1 Firebolt)
Tilarium replied to Noxvern's topic in Hogwarts Legacy's Discussion
Just as the Nimbus 2000, the Nimbus 2001 was named such because it was a Nimbus that was release in 2001. You're about a 100 years to early for those to have been made. Just get the Thomas the Tank like everyone else, nothing will top that. -
I second only for Professor Garlic, or at least an option for only Professor Garlic.

Did a search but it came up with nothing so figured I'd post and ask. Anyone know if using any mods will disable achievements? I'm wanting to install a shader and the paler and darker skins. While I'm at it, anyone know if changing the difficulty setting during game (I've heard you can't but haven't tried it) will disable achievements?

Slowly building, right now I'm making a list of mods marking them as either Yes or Maybe. Gives me a project for the weekend. Started with out of the collections, removed about half of the mods from it because they don't appeal to me. Modern weapons, skimpy armor and clothes, that sort of thing. Now I'm going through my previous mods history from the last attempt of playing at the start of 2020. Keeping my eye on the dates of the mods like you said and noticing a lot that haven't been touched since well before 20 Nov, 2019. I'm guessing texture ones would be perfectly fine but some of my old favorite companions haven't been touched in a long time. Sad to see them maybe go.

Thanks guys for letting me know. I'll use the collections as a guideline instead then and build off of those. Looks like Immersive Gameplay also hasn't been updated in a while, I'll ask around on it's forum if it's still running good with or without the patch checker. I've been a fan of Horizon for a long time but I remember it adds and changes so much that it's hard to build a mod list because it has conflicts with so much. Might not go with it and just try and tweak the game to my liking from smaller mods.

At the risk of getting crap some more crap from Dread again, is there a way to search the collections to find ones that use certain mods? What seeing how Another Life and Start Me Up both several years old... do they work or is there an alternative for them that I'm not finding? And again back to collections, are they hard set or am I able to add other mods or remove mods from them? I found a couple I like for the most part but are missing some of the mods I'd normally use and all have some mods I don't like (mostly weapon mods but some clothes and armor ones and presets that I don't need).

And again. I can not load the mods pages while at work! What part of that do you not understand? Sad that your work does not let you browse pages on your personal device during your lunch break. It's just that my phone, for whatever reason will not load it and gives me an error. I have full intention of browsing the mods when I get home in about 5 more hours but thought I'd post in the hopes that somone could have given me some constructive info instead of being an arse about someone asking peoples opinions or if certain mods had been updated (immersive and Horizon). Glad I didn't ask about if there was any up to date alternate start mods like (I think) live another life or whatever it's name was. Dashbodarian is updating Start me up it's just so easy, but I guess it's easier to let others do the work for you. Screw off dude, seriously. I wasn't asking for people to do the damned work for me. I was asking opinions and to get a headstart for when I get home from work. If you had nothing constructive to offer then you should have just kept your fingers off the keyboard.

Yes really, because as I do believe I said, I'm at work and not able to browse the mods. Plus, this collections page must be new because I don't remember it from before.

So this happens every once in a while where I get the urge to play again but of course I can't just play vanilla because that's boring! This time, the blame lays with Uncle Todd giving us the Starfield gameplay first look, really gave me the itch to play Starfield but without it I have to settle for FO4 LOL. So... anyway, looking for suggestions for the bigger mods to use. It's been literal years since I've played and being that I'm at work right now I can't really check the mods pages to find what is and isn't available right now. Ideally, what I've always wanted was more of a walking dead style game where the big threat is the walkers and raiders and such with a focus on building my settlements up. No lasers or anything like that, just good old fashioned bullets. Power armor being super rare to find, you know? Never did find any way to really build that kind of list but, like I've said, it's been years now and who knows what exists now. Outside of that, to keep in the traditional Fallout world, just mods that will add a ton of variety and coolness to the game. In the past I've alternated between Horizon and Immersive Gameplay. The probably I've always run into with them is that they both change a lot and never had once concise list of what is changed, so I'd inevitably end up adding in other mods that screwed with what they've added/changed and caused issues. I'm assuming Sim Settlements 2 is still around? Never actually played with 2 as it came out well after my last real play through. I'm guessing all the add-ons for the original version wouldn't work with 2? But yeah, mostly looking for the best suggestions to give a fun game run or 2.
