  1. I'm not sure that was planned by the original engine creators, but maybe if you make the clothing a body part and do custom swimming/whatever animations? I doubt it is possible with casual clothing though as there really ain't any option in GECK as far as i can see...
  2. Let's admit it's rather unlikely, but instead of a petition i would try writing him a kind letter and see if he would even answer. I can really imagine he got better stuff to do and I'm not sure he's a gamer.
  3. Thanks again for the support everyone. I don't think i will move the enclave base as so far we don't have any DLC available, so even if it's in the way i guess the enclave fans will all have finished it before the first DLC is available anyways. Also i can't think of too many halfway reasonable other places that leave room for some explanation like "the enclave kept this base secret" or so. @ antonkr, i will just put you on the beta test list for dubbing. maybe you find a voice you wanna do. I cant imagine we would use a safehouse off-base but maybe in an update or so. At the moment i don't think we'll focus on that now.
  4. Hmmm, i took a look at it and it's really nice. Bad thing here is that he's about as far done as i am with my mod, so we both spent much time with our bases and stuff and i think it's just fair that both of us get to work on our visions. I really love his idea of bringing back the vertibird encounters, not sure if i have the patience to add that to my mod as well. Story wise i have a bit different approach and also a bit different style. I think both mods will be great and even though blending both into one wouldn't done justice to them i think the true enclave fan will enjoy playing both of them.
  5. I can always need voice actors for my enclave quest - link in 3rd post... @ frank lee - i have need for a young scientist (Well we can turn him "old" if thats necessary) from the commonwealth...
  6. If you're halfway bright it should only take a few hours to make your own companion. Just look at some companion like Veronica and copy the scripts. You basically need the script, the AI packages and add the companion to the companion quest. The "Search text" function in GECK is very valuable to look where a parameter defined in some script is used or queried. Also take a look at the dialogue/topics of veronica. If you keep looking at a companion at veronica you can make your own one within hours if you just keep on copy and paste. In the end you don't do much more than changing VeronicaREF to MyCompanionREF and some other small stuff besides the copying.
  7. As daantje said - it's not really impossible but ridiculous hard to do. For the work that is needed the end result is quite questionable... I doubt it really would be that much of a thrill...
  8. Well fade to black aint too hard to do, just add this scripting command to your quest or script: ApplyImageSpaceModifier FadeToBlack2sISFX
  9. Thanks to all for the support and valuable ideas. Please understand that it does not make much sense to send out scripts right now as most dialogues are not finished yet. But i will send out PMs to everyone who PMed me or posted here as soon as the first release version is finished. You will get to apply for any character - if several people apply for one imma negotiate. I am sure everyone can find something he/she likes. We're flexible here - i made all charatcers male as typically we seriously lack female gamers, but if a female player vouches to voice some part i got no problem with switching a character to a female. Stuff that is already finished: - Enclave base background - Enclave command bunker - Enclave access tunnel - Most main characters - Most main quests - Helios One occupying forces - Black mountain relay terminal - Enclave ending scene Stuff I am still working on: - Companions and their scripts, quests, etc - Side quests - some minor enclave characters - Enclave control and occupation posts - Hoover dam enclave forces - Additional dialogues and quest conditions I am unsure if i will add much work into NCR/BOS sabotage missions, maybe a spy for each faction that offers some quests but i can't reasonably add too much, the scope of this mod is already enormous. Imma think of some reasonable options to stand up against the enclave but as much as i wish i can't build new worlds for BOS here. I will leave the mod open to work smoothly together with possible BOS related mods. I could imagine making a BOS related mod after this, but what i would like to do for the BOS is too much for one mod, i wanna get this finished in a reasonable amount of time (Goal is still this year, at least some beta).
  10. Personally i love the idea as i feel the brotherhood really got a bit short in NV - not as short as the enclave but still their role in NV pretty much sucked. I already thought about making an extended brotherhood mod but it's a bit harder to implement as they are already in the game (The old "you need to dub all audio again if you edit existing NPCs" problem) and currently my queue is too full to really start something else. There's some stuff that really qualifies for being used in such a mod like the abandoned BOS bunker. Also the script for the Helios power plant mission is a bit murky - it was obviously originally meant to be re-occupied by BOS but it's a bit glitched and depends too much on talk with the followers guy.
  11. Parts are new world spaces, parts are existing world space - it will be kind of plausible why that enclave base was hidden for so long. You can of course also attack the enclave and fight them - with their advanced power armor and pimped plasma ammunition they will definitely be a challenging enemy. So far there won't be options to really sabotage them besides just shooting them on sight - i feel i would need to embed brotherhood or NCR much more to make that halfway reasonable and i stay away from them as touching existing NPCs would mean to redo all dialog for these - thats's actually the reason why i haven't touched the brotherhood although i would love to also enhance their presence. I wanna get the enclave mod on the road first, after that is finished we can talk about an excessive brotherhood mod. It will still take some time as i also work on other mods and wanna do it properly. I dont just wanna poop out some quests i really try to integrate the enclave into the game. In the final version you will be able to help the enclave and doing many difficult (Seriously - some ppl are gonna need to cheat here, this ain't for wimps) quests that boost the enclave, drive the story line (Yeah it will go deep into existing enclave history and extending the story with "known facts" about the enclave as well as expanding their future role) and integrate the enclave further into the wasteland, visually and logically extending their territory. I don't wanna spoil too much but it will really effect the game very deep for a mod, maybe much deeper than you may think.
  12. Like all items the junk items come textured, so if you plan using these there is no need to fumble with the textures. For animations my recommendation would be to look at grenades or spears, they dont have a "projectile" as they are the projectile themselves. pretty easy to make.
  13. Thanks for the support everyone. It will still take some time as i wanna do it properly... Here's some teaser pics to get ya going... http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1290869502.jpg http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1290878448.jpg http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1290828523.jpg http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1290896112.jpg http://www.tankraider.com/userup/1290834905.jpg
  14. Actually "Rhino" is awesome for NURBS, but if you wanna go for NURBS or polygons depends on your goals and preferences. generally NURBS is easier for organic and round models while classic polygon modeling is better for architectural models and boxy shapes. Actually you can convert nearly every format to nearly every other format so in the end I'd recommend to focus on programs you already know and like. If you use sketchup or 3DMax doesn't really make a difference in the long run.
  15. Hey thanks folks, i got kinda carried away with a new motorcycle mod, but i do still work on the enclave mod. Like 75% of the story is finished and as soon as it's something considering i will PM each one with scripts and you can pick if and which character you will dub.
