  1. The only spoiler here is the name of a place and an extremely vague comment, nothing more. A little while after reaching Starcity, I lose the ability to meditate. I was a level 28 when I realized this, and I thought it had to do with Starcity itself, like I missed something in the dialogue that explained it. I leveled up to 29, and eventually 30. After going through some plot points, I returned to Sun Temple, and I still cannot meditate. When I press the Talent button, the compass bar flashes a few times as if to say I'm waiting for a cool-down or something, but I'm starting to think it's a bug. Is it written into the game to restrict the player from assigning more skills once you've visited Starcity? I've already replayed over two hours of the game (leveling up from 28 through 30 again), and the "bug" begins right after the old guy yells down to us about a security system. If you don't know the answer, but know of a better place I should ask this question, I'd appreciate that too. Anything helps.
  2. Hmm... I appreciate the response, but I'm quite sure that's not it. I definitely see the motion blur you're referring to, but that's not what I'm talking about. Also, I actually use Vsync most of the time, so I'm locked at 60 FPS as well, so it's not a smoothness issues, otherwise I'd already have that look I'm seeking. The only reason I mentioned the higher frame rates is because I don't want someone to claim the reason I'm not getting that effect is because my computer is too weak; it isn't. There's some sort of rendering trick at play here.
  3. First off, have you played DOOM 3 BFG, or perhaps Dead Space 3 with the frame rate unlocked? If you have, and you have a decent rig, you know how "fast" the frame rate looks. Even if you lock Vsync on in your control panel, those games look like they clock hundreds of frames per second. Now, check out this video of Skyrim: http://www.gamespot.com/videos/top-5-skyrim-mods-of-the-week-random-axe-of-kindne/2300-6416180/ Granted, the compression of that video makes the textures look like Minecraft sometimes, and the video is only running at 30 FPS, but you can clearly see that very "unlocked" frame rate look. Everything moves so quickly and fluidly. Now, my rig is nice. It isn't the world's greatest, but it's nice. I score 140 FPS indoors, and between 48-80 FPS outdoors, all settings on Ultra. Crazy thing is, Skyrim's 140 FPS doesn't look as fast as DOOM 3 BFG capped at 60, or anything like the video I posted here. What gives? Does anyone understand what I'm asking? What mod or setting makes Skyrim look the way it appears in the video linked above? Thank you for your time.
  4. Oooh. Sorry for the late response, but THANK YOU! :-D I appreciate all your suggestions. I don't cheat at every game I play (no, really! I don't! lol), but I don't mind at all when I feel like the game is cheating back. As awesome as i think this game is, it's still riddled with some really weird bugs.
  5. Hahaha. A little *too God actually. I simply want a strong weapon I can put away when I want the challenge to return. I don't want to cheat ALL the time. So far, after 40+ hours, I've only wanted to cheat twice. I was getting frustrated. Typing in the console is annoying. Causing permanent overpowering boosts to my character is too drastic. I appreciate everyone's responses. I don't know what "toolsets" are, I can Google it, but I just wanted a file for a weapon I could use/sheathe at will. This game is remarkably similar to Dragon Age IMO, and I found having a single over-powered weapon in my inventory was a much more elegant way of solving my frustrations. I'll do some more Google searching and come back with some smarter questions.
  6. Is NW2 incompatible with the types of mods that would warrant a "Cheats and God Items" category? I would love just one overpowered weapon for that game. I already know how to turn on the console, go in to debug mode, and then just be in "God Mode", but I don't want that; the challenge gets completely stripped away. I just want an upper hand in some of the battles that frustrate me too much. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your time. :-) ~Bradley
  7. I have the same problem, but with different buttons. I'm fine with jumping with {Y}, so I left {A} and {Y} alone. Instead, I made {X} my Character Screen and {B} Ready/Sheathe, which is the opposite of default. According to default (and the screen, no matter what you change), {X} means STORE or TAKE ALL. When in inventory or conversations, {B} means EXIT. Since the patch, the screen still says {X} TAKE ALL, but if I press {X}, it exits. {B} is now take all and {X} is how you exit a conversation. THIS IS SO F'ING STUPID!!! I was hoping someone smart would have found a settings file wherein we could simply re-map the controls. I realize there is a window to do this in-game, but you cannot customize what-buttons-do-what while in menus and such. You can only customize action controls. To anyone saying they don't experience this glitch: Everyone has the same problem since the patch. You simply didn't realize it because you either use the default control scheme, or your personal setup doesn't conflict with the on-screen menu. Try actually replicating what people are talking about before you dismiss them saying it's not a real bug, or it must be only their machine. Example, try switching the controls for {X} and {B} in the game, then try using a cupboard with inventory in it. -or, try as the OP suggested, switch {A} and {Y}, then see if your menu functions properly. This is a real bug. Period.
