  1. I scavenged through CK and found the values which give the sun damage effect. But since they are just spells and are assigned to player, what would be the properties of and item which would negate them or balance them out? Is it possible to make in CK or it needs extra scripting?
  2. I totally agree with you. There are not enough armor mods for us "realism lovers", and I still can't understand that "less is more" tension in armor modding. I know that I'm asking for too much, but it would be best if there were versions of same armors and clothes (f.e. realistic, skimpy .. ) and then everybody would be happy. Also, I don't know if it is just me or more people feel the same, I am kinda disappointed that Skyrim modding is wading off from a realistic approach on things towards more Epic Fantasy or Sexy Fantasy style. I know, Skyrim is already an Epic Fantasy RPG, but some greater doses of realism in mods would give a very nice balance.
  3. Great! I was reading some posts which stated that Maya had no nif support, must've been outdated. Many thanks!
  4. I didn't want to start a new topic, since this one is about 3d software support for Skyri modding. My question is: I have Maya 2012 and I would like to make some armors for Skyrim (since there is a great lack of decent and realistic armors, everything is either a retexture, skimpy or anime themed). Since Maya does not support the .nif extension, what other software I should use? Is it possible to create models in Maya and then somehow to put them in-game? What do I need for that, Blender, Nifscope ?
  5. Greetings folks, I would like to request a ring or amulet which would remove or minimize the regeneration penalties by exposing to sunlight when being a vampire. Keeping the fire vulnerability would be great, and if possible maybe raise the blood consumption when exposed to sunlight (if it is a hard thing to do then don't). It would be nice if only one item could give such effects and not a set of items. Item model is not of importance. Maybe such effect could be made as a separate enchantment, which would make the lives of all potential daywalkers much easier. Suggestable mod pack would be : Ring of Daywalking, Amulet of Daywalking and Daywalking (as enchantment) If it is possible I would be really happy and grateful. Thanks in front!! PS. I would do it myself but I'm kinda short on time for scavenging through CK or scripting. Trying to learn 3d modelling with Maya right now.
  6. I have been playing Skyrim for a while, and I really like the new Character Development system. Much less restrictive than in all previous titles. But (there is always a big but... ), imho, it would be much better if the perks were gained by advancing in a skill rather than from level-ups. Because from level-ups u can get 50 perk points as per 50lvls. Although the number of perks is much bigger than 50 ("There are a confirmed 280 perks that will be available in Skyrim." The Elder Scrolls Wikia). I would really prefer to have the freedom of choice how to develop my character and how to play him. I hate planning what kind of character I will be playing from the beginning. With the perks gained by skill advancement you can get your perk points as deeper you get into a skill and you can change your gameplay at any point of the game. There is no point in restricting a player to play down a predefined skillset in a classless system as Skyrim. (For those of you who have played Darkfall, such system I am talking about, where you can raise ALL of your skills and max them out without any "point" limitations) Think about it and give me your ideas and thoughts. Seeong such kind of mod would be really great and helpful! Keep on rockin' guys, Skyrim opens up an ocean of opportunities for the modders community. This is gonna be a great journey!!!
