So I finished the Winterhold questline yesterday and I'm pretty disappointed. It was great up until the end and (besides being waaaaaaay too short), I just think...that becoming the archmage...is stupid? Depending on how you all play the game and what you imagine your character to be, I mean I can see a scenario where it would be ok but like even then it just makes no sense to me. You've been a student there for what, a few days , or maybe an in-game month or two? You do one thing right and bam suddenly you're the new principal? My character is young and it just DOESN'T make sense to me at all. I think it's stupid and like what if your guy isn't even a mage? (I know what you're thinking: "Why go to the college in the firstplacew?" well idk maybe they wanted to complete the quest for some reason) like what if I'm a strictly melee class and now suddenly I'm supposedly the top dawg at a school for magi? Why? Idk, I love the college and it was my favourite ques up until the end. I don't want to run no goddamn school. It's too bad they didn't go in a different direction with that questline. Thoughts?

Heheh, well it pains my heart to kill the innocents but sometimes I just want a little taste of that, y'know? >;) I ended up killing everyone in Whiterun, with the exception of the Companions (just couldn't bring myself to attack them lol...) and now I'm lonely :T I think I'll stick to my "good guy" characters, heheh... these mods are still really cool though! Love the alternate start ^.^

So I've been downloading a few thief/"evil" mods and I plan to (try) to make an evil, cold-blooded serial-killing thief. Right after I get off the tutorial area, I'll kill Ralof, and when I get to Riverwood, I'd like to kill most people and steal their s#*&#33; - not getting the Whiterun quest. My question is, CAN I play the game this way? Only siding with thieves and the like? or would it be boring and not-doable? Also sorry for all my newbie questions I know I'm super late on the Skyrim hype hahaah

I have no problems with a sexy, beautiful follower if she's a good character otherwise. ...But if they're wearing the skimpiest armor, for their sake it's best they don't come to battle with me. Tbh I'd rather have more NPCs that you can get involved with, quest-wise. So far the only NPCs I'm even remotely close to and care about are Farkas, Vilkas, and Aela. I'll take your word for it and download this character and see how I like her; have you got any more recommendations? Thanks!

Eh, feel free to use whatever terms you like, there are people who like'em and hate'em. It just sounds like kind of an old person thing to me that the older adults say on Tera xD And I apologize for coming off as an ass, I admit that was uncalled for, I was just saying that it's something that is easy to ignore - as is with my dislike for the word "toon". But I can assure you you're not alone, my boyfriend HAAAATES how I "ruined" Skyrim by installing loli/anime mods...heheh. I don't know, I have no issues with the NPCs but the hard, old options in te character creation isn't just the look for me. When I play a game with a personalized character, I want to get it as close to "me" (not me as in my appearance, me as in my tastes) so I can enjoy the game fully, y'know? Guess it's just all about aesthetics. So long as the player is having fun that's all that matters right :o But hey, some funny stuff comes out of this stuff, too! Yeah I think I'll make an evil character somewhere down the line, but it's hard for me to be a bad guy so IK might just chicken out and switch to good last second x_x;; I'll keep Astrid dead, then, and go after the Dark Brotherhood. So, I can't get rid of the thieves guild either?

Just personal preference? A lot of asian modders like to make characters look more "beautiful". It's all in good fun. Inaccurate? Yeah. But some people don't care we just want our character to look how we want so that we have fun. That's what games are for. ^This. And ugh, I agree about the f*#@ing "toon" thing! I thought people only used that word in tera...referring to characters as "toon" is so dumb to me. ....anyways back on track, and like this person said, it's all just personal preference and opinion, ey OP? What I like you may not, and the other way around. I honestly waited all these years to play skyrim until I found mods to make my characters look how I want. That's just how some people are :3 Modding unlocks so many possibilities, and is a great way for people to be creative. Sure downloading a bunch of fairy fawn centaur alien flawless weird-ass races isn't exactly lore-friendly, but just let people do their thing, and you do yours c: It's not even an online game so I don't get why what someone else puts in their game matters to you xD

Alright well, Skyrim is the first in TES I've played and I don't know anything about backstory (besides what my bae's told me) and due to lacking information, I killed off Astrid once I'd gotten the quest. I saved just before it to change my mind, though. I'm curious what they're all about, to see if I made the right choice. On one hand, they're assassins and it looks like they'd be willing to help people, but also...looks a bit...sketchy. I don't know. I didn't have enough reason to kill any of the three captives - the man on the left was a possibility, though - so I didn't, and instead went for Astrid. I wonder if I've made the right choice? I'm now going to begin the Destroy the Dark Brotherhood quest but, before I continue with this save file I was wondering if anyone could give me some background info. On this character I'm trying to be a "good guy" type. :3
