I have several issues with a mod that I am working on and I hope that someone could help me with one or maybe even a few of them. So here it goes. 1) I want to write a script that will activate a vertibird crash. I understand that I need to use the Vertibird Activator, but I'm not sure how to write the script and connect it to the Trigger. If anyone could describe how I'm supposed to do this I would appreciate it. 2) I was trying to make a "Gatekeeper" for when the player arrives at the main city for the first time, and I've been following Seddon4494's tutorial on making an NPC auto-talk, yet whatever I try the NPC will not approach the player when he walks through the Trigger. I've followed the scripting exactly how he did and still I cannot get it to work. I just want an NPC to approach the player one time, how can I do this? 3) Every NPC I place has a default sandbox package, and they all have their weapons in-hand; not holstered, literally in their hands. It gets annoying watching NPC drinking a beer with a loaded pistol in the same hand :P How can I get it so that their weapons are holstered and not drawn? 4) I made a new faction and added all the citizens and guards to it. But when I attack any NPC, it allows me to drain roughly 1/4th of their health before they attack, and it is only the NPC that attacks me, No one else joins to help him even though they are set to help friends and allies and have brave confidence. How can I get it so that the other NPCs join to fight, the player looses karma for killing them, and the players reputation with the faction is affected? I'm having trouble getting any of the 3 to work. If anyone can answer any of these questions I'd appreciate it, thanks. -

I found it saved as a .tes file, but I have no idea what that is or how I can get it back to a Bethesda Plugin Data File. -
So i was working on my mod, one that have dedicated hours of my life working on, and all of a sudden my computer crashed...blue screen. and when I restarted it and tried to load a game save...the mod was no longer there! Please is there any way to recover all the stuff that was lost? I really need this!

So I've been doing some heavy updates to my mod recently, mostly work with the main underground city of Polis. The Interior is fairly large and have been having some serious difficulty trying to add NPCs into the cell. I have roughly 15 NPCs in the cell, yet every time I start up GECK, select the worldspace and either zoom out, select an NPC/Static Object, or try to add another NPC, my program freezes and ultimately crashes. Does anyone have a solution to this? I rely on this city being populated and the point it is at now is not what I imagined. The Photo below is roughly the current size of Polis at this point. I am able to select some NPCs from the cell object box and remove them, which does in fact solve the problem, but does anyone have a solution to prevent these crashes?

Help with New Worldspaces!

So there is no way to have a working map without finalizing all Navmeshes and worldspaces? Sorry if I am not understanding, Its just that my mod is still in WIP form and I would like my testers to have the option to traverse back to the Mojave after exploring all of the new worldspaces instead of having to walk all the way back. -

Alright, thanks. This is what I have. Everything appears fine. But are you saying that the Map Markers will not actually appear on the map until the mod is published as an .esm? -

Do you mean the map loaded for the worldspaces? Like what is pictured below? -
For the mod I am working on, it includes a series of small worldspaces all linked up to a single map. I've created the map (as seen below) and gave each worldspace the intended parent worldspace's map. I have place roughly 8 mapmarkers cross 4 worldspaces, but whenever the player discovers the area, it does not show up on the map; literally no icon appears on or around it. Even when I set the icon to be visible without the landmark being discovered, it still does not show. Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can solve this?

When I was testing to see if my basic set of armor would work in game, I came across this one major error. Two Handed weapons are only help with one hand, while the other dangles far below the actual weapon. Even for Single Handed weapons, The mesh is held completely off when aiming. When in first person, the gun crosses the players line of sight, making it impossible to use. And I know for a fact that it is my custom armor that is the issue, I'm just not sure how to fix it. I've noticed when I was placing NPCs into my mod that the room experiences intense lag when the player walks through. The area is meant to be Market of sorts with roughly 8 merchants, but even that is enough to make the game lag. This is an issue because I planned to have several more NPCs patroling the area and interacting with the Interior components. Anyone have a resolution to this?

How to make a Map for a New Worldspace

Just how exactly do you generate the map from the World LOD menu? I want to make I don't do anything wrong the first time. -
I've been batting zero lately as no one has answered any of my questions :P...but I'm going to try again! I've made a series of worldspaces and I want to create a map that I can put on the pip boy and have the Map Markers from the various locations appear. How exactly would I go about doing this? I have yet to find a tutorial to explain this process. But another question I have relating to this, How can I get 3 different worldspaces to share the same map? I have several worldspaces that, in perspective, would be really close to each other. Do I have to create my own map using photoshop? Or is there a method in GECK to male the map for me?

Thanks for taking the time to read through my issues. I'll have to go through this tutorial and see if I can make it work for NV. I guess If I can't, it may be in my best interests to simply recruit another modder who wouldn't mind helping with my mod. -

I've created 2 new armors and 2 new helmets in 3DS Max. But I have no idea how to add weight to each part of the armor nor do I know how to import the skeleton and create the UV Map. Is there anyone out there that has a video tutorial, or is even willing to help me complete such a task? I would really like to introduce such armors to my mod, but I'm having the greatest difficulty. I've spent time looking at Text tutorials with some photos, but they are either for Blender or don't go into detail over certain aspects of creating the armor.

I've set up a series of Merchants with Merchant Chests and everything. But when I go to buy items through dialogue, their inventory is empty. The only thing they have is the caps I gave them. I placed a series of Leveled Lists in each chest, but none of the items show up for purchase. Any suggestions?

I have no experience with scripting...at all. All I know is how to make NPCs repair and sell things. So I need help with a few things that I shall now list: - I want o have it so that when a person installs my mod and loads up their game, a message box appears with a statement saying something like " Rumors have it that there are merc..." then add a quest to the player's list of missions. -Secondly, I have this small outpost that leads to the 1st Worldspace of my new mod that is surrounded by a few NCR soldiers. I want the player to be able to enter this new Worldspace and have an intro similar to Point Lookout, or simply like the quest in Fallout 3 when the Elder Lyons is speaking to Lyon's Pride. I want the player to be unable to move as a little intro among the NPC's unfolds. - How exactly do you make a friendly NPC hostile through dialog. Suppose you insult an NPC, I want the NPC to attack the player. - Vertibird Sequences...I want to have a player enter one of the worldspaces and when he is walking through the area, a vertibird flies through and crashes/explodes, similar to when the player leaves Raven Rock in Fallout 3. If anyone can help me with these scripts I would greatly appreciate it. And anyone who would like to help me full time with scripting, I could always use someone experienced who would like to help me with my mod "The Empire Wasteland"

As some may know, I'm in the mix of creating a rather large modification for New Vegas with a simple one man team. And though I'd love to complete this on my own, I'm finding some aspect rather frustrating and could use a few veteran modders who would help for credit in the mod's completion. But before I get into the specifics, I'll give a rundown on what the mod focuses on. The Empire Wasteland is a DLC sized addon for New Vegas that introduces new and unique worldspaces, weapons, armor and reintroduces urban-themed combat that made Fallout 3 such a big hit. Storyline: After an expedition of Mercenaries, NCR Troopers and Fortune Finders loose contact with Camp McCarren in the Mojave, you the courier are hired to trek across the nation to make contact with the team after radio contact fell silent. Explore several heavily detailed regions that span over the NYC-Jersey City-Newark region as you traverse the urban landscape, explore the murky metro system, and help the locals as you rediscover a city lost to the world. Face new factions, and a few memorable ones as well, and make your name known in the Big Apple. The story is largely inspired by games such as Metro 2033, Metro Last Light and I Am Alive. What I need from the community: -Someone who could make my Armor designs playable, or simply remake them with the source I based the off of. -Those Experienced with creating UV textures for custom weapons (I have several weapons already in the mod, I cannot get a working texture map for them) -Those experienced with scripting (For activators, random encounters and quest-related incidents) So some basic things about the mod are as follows: 1. This is similar to the DLC Lonesome Road; The player can enter and leave as he pleases. Although, this feature may change as I complete the storyline. 2. This mod requires all 4 major DLC as well as GRA 3. The Story Line is current the the game's time. However, storyline from Fallout 3 shall converge . 4. The will be roughly 10 hours of quests which include both the main story line as well as major side quests you encounter through the game. Would you mind me utilizing your Boxcar designs in my work? With credit of course! Since my mod takes place mostly underground, I feel that they could add some interesting locations to the worldspaces.

I'm not sure if this mod has been requested for New Vegas, but I know BusWorld was created for Fallout 3. I'm making a mod and really need interiors for Boxcars, Metro Cars and Buses. So if anyone can, or already knows of a resource with such models, can you please comment? I only ask because I believe the BusWorld's author is inactive and I wish to ask permission before I utilize his work. I would make the models myself, but I'm currently trying to make a rather large mod simply by myself and would like to not make things complicated where they don't need to be.

In complete honesty, I have no idea what that even means. Like I said, I'm new to custom armors, so please excuse my stupidity. What exactly, and how exactly, do you go about doing that?
