  1. Well, I found out the problem. It was one of the compatibility patches.
  2. Well, I ran BOSS and that's how I got this load order. So, I think I may need to manually set it. Any tips?
  3. Hey, all. I haven't played Fallout NV in a couple months, so I decided to get the DLC for it while it was cheap and start playing again. I spent a few hours lurking about and installing all the compatibility patches I could find. I finally got all excited, and got everything up and running, and then... My game crashed on startup. I'm running XP, and attached is my mod list. Thanks for the possible help, guys. I know this is vague, I just don't really know what information will be helpful. Also, I'm not sure how to get to my crashlog. Otherwise, I'd post that, too.

  5. Maybe you could see if you could make the shield a clothing addon. Like it's a face slot or back slot or something. Just a thought, though.

  7. They're just reloading mods, and weapon mods. All the BetterPerfomance thing does is remove things, not modify the engine or anything. And, what happens is the trader says the "okay i'll trade" line, and then the screen goes black, and i see the titlebar at the top of the window, and it tells my it "encountered a problem" and asks me to "report problem".
  8. Well, some of you guys may have seen my thread about the patch hiccup, so I used the fallout_default.ini fix that was posted here. It works really well, except for one thing... Whenever I attempt to go to the trader menu to buy things, my game crashes. So far I've tried the Goodsprings trader and the Gunrunners' vendtron, but both of them crash my game. So does anyone have any ideas? I'll attach my modlist again to see if I made a fatal mistake that gave my Fallout cancer or something. http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/7614/modlist.png
  9. You're the Zoidberg that made the HL2 Pistol Animations? Nice work, I love those, But, sadly, I don't think you can make custom animations, because if you were able to, there would be way better reloading and idle animations for most of these weapons, like in F3 there were a bunch of bullpup rifles that used standard animations for the CETME, it looked really bad... I'm almost positive you're able to edit animations, because some guns I've noticed the idles are different, like there was a two-handed hold animation for the 10MM SMG from 3.
  10. I could record some stuff with my BB gun (hardcore, right?) for a good BB gun replacer to see if you can do anything if you want, also I could record some .22 stuff some time.
  11. Ooh! Maybe one of them could be like an old gunslinger fiction book where your perception and one hander accuracey go up, but your sneak and... uh... Hacking skill go down. Eh? Once more, just tossing that out there.

You could add various Pulp magazines, like let's, for example, say that This gives you + Strength and +Endurance and ups your DR to like 10, but lowers your Speech and Barter skills substantially. Or maybe you could add some classic Sci-Fi stuff, Like I, Robot. Maybe It'll give you a perk like animal friend where protectrons will appear and come to your aid for a short period or something. Just a couple ideas.

  14. Yeah, but for the sake of continuity, I'd change a bunch of others.
  15. I'm just wondering how people do custom perk icons like in the perk packs, is there some little app on the web for that, or do you guys just hack the original ones in Photoshop or something? I'd sort of like to make a perk pack and upload it, but I don't think it'd be doing it justice to use random perk icons. So, can I have some help with this? (I'm pretty sure this goes here...)
  16. the only way I could see this happening is if someone used the Levergun animations, and then the guy would awkwardly hold his offhand out.
  17. I'm probably too stupid to figure it, but I'll see if I can do something. I don't know how to make ammo types, so maybe just use 12.7 mils and rename them or some other more obscure ammo type in the game. I've no experience with this stuff, though, so it'll be helpful for the both of us, but i think i'd be able to toss it together. But, i'd probably make the weapons realistic, like the MP5 will have medium damage at close range, but it's pretty inaccurate (to sort of half-ass the fact that it has a range of roughly 120 meters).
  18. Ammo types would have to be changed, like replace the 10mm with .45 ACP, and make the "9mm SMG" into an ex-10mm. New weapons would need to be added, like maybe the De Lisle as the hunting rifle, so the animations would fit, have the 10mm pistol replaced with an M1911 A1, have the weapon magazine caps changed up a bit... there would be tons that needs to be done. But, after hours... days... hell, months of work, it'd be good. If I had an hour or two I could list the weapon fixes. And maybe if I can, some of the food and misc items changed.
