  1. Thanks for the info! Glad to hear it's known and being worked on :)
  2. Hi all, Has anyone else had trouble with mod page comments on mobile? I'm not sure what changed but for some reason I get extreme lag when trying to type comments on mod pages. I usually use my phone to respond to comments or browse potential mods, but now I have to wait 5+ seconds between every word or nothing will appear in the text box. Is this affecting anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it a site issue? Thanks
  3. I rarely buy new games, and have had many recent bill increases with more on the way. If you can afford premium, great. Not everyone can. I'm fine with restricted download speeds and whatever other perks I lose out on, I just don't like constant harassment to buy a product I don't need, as most reasonable people would. I'm here to offer feedback, not argue with any of you, so I'm out. Keep bashing whoever you guys want, I figured out a solution anyway.
  4. I'm surprised these responses are so hostile. And there's no need for personal attacks @arthmoor. I simply came here to express my opinion and provide feedback, which is the purpose of this forum. To let the devs know that there are more people who don't like it. Most won't bother to come here and comment anyway. If you haven't tried downloading 100+ mods (many with multiple files), you should do so before dismissing others' feedback. You may find yourself thinking somewhat differently. As I said, I don't like any business model that involves such tactics as actively degrading the free user experience to bring in more money. Maybe they could try scaling back their operations if they can't afford the costs? I don't pretend to have all the answers here, I just want it known that the constant badgering to upgrade is a major detriment to the user experience on this site. I'm clearly not alone in that. Not everyone has the budget for yet another monthly subscription. Hell, I'm gaming on a 2-year old laptop. Commence the insults, if that's what any of you feel you need to do.
  5. They should find another way to incentivize people to sign up, this kind of obtrusive advert is absurd and unbecoming of the Nexus. I realize the site requires money but I'd rather they sell premium on it's own merits, rather than badgering us to sign up with every download. Speeds are already capped.
  6. Just wanted to add my voice against the constant requests to buy premium every time I download a file from this site. It's very annoying, user-unfriendly, and aggressive. I'd expect something like this from an anonymous third-party site, not here. I'm very disappointed to see the Nexus moving in this direction, and I refuse to support the site financially as long as this is the type of marketing tactics it stoops to. I will be advising my friends in the same way. Please remove this annoying banner, or at least make it only appear occasionally!
  7. Is anyone else suddenly seeing a bunch of new advertisements for Nexus' premium service? Every mod page now has a banner on it telling how slow my downloads will be if I don't upgrade, and every file I try to download takes me to a new page pushing Premium before it will start the download. Makes it really annoying to download multiple mods, especially if they have patches on the same page. If this is the new direction Nexus is taking, I'm disappointed.
  8. Is it possible to add new actor values? I just need something to use to make a perk effect scale. I still can't get the weapon speed MGEF to scale though, even though the record looks perfectly fine. And that doesn't require any messing with actor values and perk effects.
  9. Hi all, This is my first post in these forums, hopefully it's okay to put here! I'm having a bit of trouble with a mod. I'm trying to make a few custom enchantments for Skyrim Classic (actually working on a patch/expansion for Enchanting Awakened), but I'm having trouble getting the armor enchantments to scale. Strangely enough, the weapon enchantments I made work fine. However, the armor enchantments have the same magnitude regardless of skill, perks, or soul gems used. For completeness, I'm trying to make three armor enchantments: one that increases weapon swing speed, one that increases experience gained, and one that bypasses a portion of the opponent's armor. I managed to get the weapon speed MGEF working, but even with the "Power affects magnitude" flag, it's always the same %. I confirmed this with the console. Interestingly, it always seems to be double the base magnitude when I enchant it onto another item. For the other two enchantments, I had to use the MGEF to apply a perk to get the desired effect, though that doesn't scale naturally. I looked inside the Wintermyst mod, and tried using the same method used there for the Increased Experience enchant - using the MGEF as a Value Modifier to an unused (by my understanding) actor value ("Restoration Skill Advance" in this case), and then using the "Add Actor Value Mult" function in the added perk to apply scaling. However, when I tested this, the enchanted items don't seem to change the AV or apply the perk. Even stranger, the perk didn't affect my skill gain even when I modded the AV and added the perk manually through the console. So, here are my problems/questions: * How can I make an armor enchantment scale properly? I'm sure there's something simple that I'm missing, but I have no idea what it is. * The armor enchants I make don't seem to be applying the perk listed in the associated MGEF record (tested with 'player.hasperk' in the console). How can I make it add the perk when I equip the item? * Is it possible to make an enchantment scale when the effect must be applied through a perk, rather than a MGEF? As far as I'm aware there's no way to use the MGEF record directly to apply increased skill gain or armor piercing. Are the "___SkillAdvance" actor values truly unused now, and can they be used they way I'm trying to use them? Or are they soomehow broken? I'm also using tes5edit, btw. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for helping me up my modding skills all. EDIT: Well, oddly enough, the armor piercing perk seems to work if I apply it manually and change the relevant AV via console. The MGEF itself though still isn't doing either of those, like it should. I'm at a loss. :(
  10. I am also confused as to why this has suddenly become a problem. I was downloading files just fine a few days ago with the extension, not sure what changed.
