I'm trying to make a mod in which the player is asked to wait a day and come back. I can see: DayCheck, DayCount, daysgoneby and DaysPassed in local variables but this leaves several problems. I don't know how to use these variables and even if I did I feel I need to make a new one so any vanilla content relying on these doesn't get reset or overwrite my attempt. Unfortunately I don't know how to make new local variables. "Capostrophic" on the morrowind modding discord said "local variables are variables you define in the script itself" but scrolling through the game's scripts I can't see any scripts which relates to the passing of days (despite this happening multiple times with House Strongholds and Raven Rock.) Is there a dictionary which lists what each local variable does and are there guides to making new locals or more specifically making a local to count the days? Also if this question can't be answered please post some mods which use days passing as a mechanic so I can try to reverse engineer their work.

I'm trying to make a mod that disable the pc level requirement so I have an equal chance of seeing a skeleton champion as I do an ancestral ghost. I created my plugin by going into the "leveled creature" tab and changing every instance of "All<=PC" to no. I cleaned the mod with testool and created a new mashed patch with wrye mash but on starting a new game all the enemies are still scaled. My unleveled world esp is the last in my load order before the mashed patch so is the mashed patch reinserting the level scaling or have I been approaching this the wrong way entirely?

I am clicking the download button and being directed to "download down. Server struggling with this file at the moment. Please try another server." All servers spit out that message and have for the past couple days. No proxies No antivirus Waterfox, Opera and Internet Explorer 9 Windows firewall with microsoft security essentials 64 bit AdBlock Plus which never caused any problems in the past Yes my .net framework is up to date Adobe flash player yes, I don't run java because I don't like massive gaping security holes Same error for Waterfox and Opera but when I use IE9 with no attachments of any kind it downloads fine ergo your file servers are having an issue with adblockplus.

The vanilla game has a house in every city so I thought modders would aim to make houses in remote locations and while there are some, the majority of the houses either say they're between Riverwood and Whiterun or have Whiterun right outside the window. I can understand that people want their house near Riverwood at the start of the game but there are mountains behind it and a massive lake on the opposite side of it yet very few mods target these areas. Is there some aesthetic quality in Whiterun that I'm missing or feature that warrants living next to it when it already has Breezehome?

[WIP] Way of the Monk: Unarmed Overhaul
hurrdurrmurrgurr replied to Woverdude's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
How about an end game power which triples your attack speed once per day while unarmed. -
There were so many forsworn armour varients I kept mix and matching them. Then this happened. What should I not do in future?

There aren't any previous versions it's going to have to be a complete rewipe. So how?

I've managed to mod my game into a state where it crashes every few steps so i want to uninstall and reinstall to start over. I tried deleting local content from Steam but it did nothing then I tried redownloading the content thinking it would saved over the top of the old skyrim folder. After several hours of waiting for it to download I found that my old skyrim folder was still there just as I left it. How do I completely uninstall the game and get a fresh installation?

I put on my wool vest and leather pants, tie up a red table cloth and put it around my neck, wait three weeks for a beard to grow in, drop my imitation battle axe next to my computer, fill my mug with beer then turn the computer on.

Hold on, can you tell me what you think the story of Skyrim actually is before the game comes out, I'd like to know how Beth got lazy on developing the world or relied too heavily on tradition, I'd imagine there's still some room for the stroy to expand from the alpha version you somehow acquired as there is still months of dev time ahead.

Will TES V Use Kinect and/or Move?

Name me one game where the inclusion of waggle controls improved the game and I'm talking about games where it's a feature not wiifit where it's the whole point. -
My computer won't be able to handle this.

Well, I've managed to Frankenstein a *Phenom II 955BE 3.2GHz cooled by OCZ Vendetta 2 /Noctua NFP-120mm fan *8GB Patriot DDR3 @ 1066 7.7.7.20 1.5V (1333 9.9.9.24 165V Max) *XFX ATi HD4890 1GB @ 800MHz Core/1100MHz Mem. cooled by Thermalright TRad2 w/ 2x Noctua NFB-92mm *Asus M4A78T-E @3303 BIOS *PC Power&Cooling's Scilencer QuadPCI-e 750W (825W Peak) Single Rail @60A Sadly, Asus is a weak spot for me. It's not able to handle much of a stable OC... I shoulda gone with Gigabyte. :pinch: Sorry for geeking my specs... Regarding performance of the Gambryo games, don't forget to tweak the .ini's for true PC performance! You have to tell Oblivion/Fallout that you have multiple cores on CPU and turn on multi-threading for, like, 8 different things! Not to mention enabling hardware 3D sound. Check the awesome work at TweakGuides :geek: ...for the record, I'll hit 34 in May. The way things are going, I'll be long-dead before I get my hover-car. All you kids don't know how good you have it. Imagine playing NES games, in the snow, uphill both ways, -40 not including windchill, only in shorts!! And that's summer time! (I am Canadian. Our domiciles are snow, eh.) :P Who needs a gigabyte just get two GTX480's run them in Sli and turn on the aircon behind you. You'll enjoy better performance, better drivers and only your arm closest to the tower will get horribly burned. -
Anyone who just wants to get through the game will pick guns since the devs were so biased towards them. Explosives however are infinitely more fun once modded to be as powerful as they are in other fps, though you'd also need to mod in an explosives store since Obsidian couldn't be bothered giving explosives fans a reliable place to buy more grenades in bulk.

1) Point blank head shots should always kill unless they're wearing a power helmet. 2) Dead bodies should never vanish and the character must never respawn. The only exception is assasinations inside public areas in which the body should be dumped in a graveyard. 3) NPCs should always be able to run faster than the pc when they have a higher agility and are carrying less weight. 4)The players should never be used as beta-testers

New Vegas is the kind of game where there isn't a best option, it's a sandbox game where the point is to do what you want. So if you want to side with the NCR go ahead, if you want to help Benny, feel free. This isn't a ham-handed Bioware game so there isn't a dull good, snarky nuetral or monsterous evil option. Whatever you choose some characters will lose and some will get to develop further. However if you really want a narrow experience of the game feel free to watch a let's play. You don't mean to get political but you're going to tell everyone exactly what you think of American politics?

That's sounds more like designer choices than oversights, an oversight would be how smallguns, unarmed and melee weapons completely over power explosives and energy weapons in every conceivable way. Obsidian wanted a more down to earth experience yet they focused so heavily on gun porn that a stick of dynamite, something which blasts through rock can't break a bone or knock someone down. They should have just renamed the skill, firecrackers and the holy hand grenade.

Your Dragonborn, what sex will it be?
hurrdurrmurrgurr replied to Th0raxeIV's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
This is a game for vikings, barbarians and professional wrestlers so it would be criminal not to play as a shirtless Nord screaming "Fus Ro Dah Hulk Hogan!" -
They've probably made bunnyhopping a perk.

Levitation or some kind of flight magic in Skyrim?

I doubt it, they want to emphasise the trip when scaling high Hrothgar and you just can't do that by floating up to the top of the skybox and walking over. -
Zenimax owns Arkane studios so hopefully they've influenced the landscaping, combat and ability to see your own legs.

Any netbooks able to run Fallout?
hurrdurrmurrgurr replied to DDjusD's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I'm going to have to make a few suggestions, first of all an I7 is completely unnecessary for a game like fallout which was made with windows xp, maybe if you want to play Metro 2033 sure but otherwise don't do it. The thermal compund won't mean jack when all of that is already crammed into what is going to be a poorly vented, battery draining and incredibly heavy laptop. Maybe if you also buy a cooling pad with built in fan but otherwise it's an oven. 16gb of Ram, really? Unless you're studying graphic design and need to make a detailed 3-dimensional town but current "next gen" games can only utilise 4gb of ram. Fallout itself was optimised for 32bit processors so without using a large address enabler you'll only be using 2gb of ram at any one time and even with the enabler you're game will cap out at 3gb. A two terabyte hardrive is completely unnecessary and much less stable than a single terabyte which is already less stable than a 500gb. If you want more space, don't want to blow your life savings and don't want to lose everything when it crashes just use an external 2tb hard drive. It's something else to carry but your laptop is already going to give you shoulder pains. Fallout for pc doesn't run on blueray and there aren't any games out there which fully use the space blueray provides, some ps3 games come close but that's only because the devs don't compress their files. If you want it for movies then yeah that's fine. Getting an intel graphics card is just a bad move, they have the lowest clock speeds and are the least reliable, if you want power but are fine with terrible drivers AMD is the way to go. If you want power but are fine with burning yourself get an Nvidia card. Windows 7 ultimate won't help you, as long as the OS is 64bit you're fine. On that note Linux, Ubuntu and other free OS are terrible for games as are macs. The warranty is a waste of money, either it breaks within the first year or you're smart enough to not run the laptop on your bedsheets or carpets and defrag, clean out with compressed air and run malware bytes once a month and it will live for as long as you take care of it. The gaming mouse and bag are both terrible quality, buy a proper laptop bag made to fit your screen and while each mouse is good for different people since we all have different hands Logitech make good quality mice. -
Fallout New Vegas ft. The Capital Wasteland

So how would F3 mods work, such as environmental or weather mods and would NV mods which rebalance enemies like ghouls or weapon damage affect both areas? -
