I like the NCR because they have the grit to survive. corrupt politicians for sure, and inefficiency, but they are still there. The whole political system may suck, but the grit of the soldiers in the NCR keep them there. Legion seems promising on paper and statistically. They have better economy and security in other lands, but just like the Romans they emulate, they will be very successful for a while, but crumble quickly. the Romans were strong as hell for centuries but crumbled in about a generation. They are also pretty mean to anyone not Legion, and condemn them as well. House is an autocrat who wants money. Sure he can promise wealth and security, and maintain it, but hes greedy and doesnt care about the people raking in his money. That will come back to him eventually. I would totally do Yes Mans at least once if I could keep the NCR in the Mojave. Id keep Vegas to the Securitrons and Yes Man, but NCR everywhere else. NCR seems to actually have a chance, especially if they tried to separate from the Hub or fixed their issues. The military of the NCR alone is actually pretty effective when they go after something. They could really get a handle on the Mojave if they coagulated a strong enough force. NCR has a lot of issues, alot of them related to ones we have today. leadership is key to success, and they dont have much of it. The system by design works well, its the people running it that drive it down. Even with all the corruption and inefficiency, they are still present and a formidable force, and that tells me that if they were clean(or at least for the most part0 they could dominate the region. my .02$

SORTA OF A SPOILER HERE I dont know what Bethesdas problem is, but they seem to have really screwed up the quest for Nuka World. What kind of DLC is it if you can only do bad stuff? Im a saint player, and I dont want to rule any of the raider tribes. Looks like a kinda dumb and specialized DLC for such a broad game with tons of different playstyles and game paths people take.

For some reason he didnt attack me this time. I didnt even have to do anything. glad that worked out.

I get that but Karl is not supposed to attack you. Ive done this before vilified like I am now. Ill try your suggestion, although Karl isnt supposed to attack no matter of youve killed caesar or your reputation with the legion.

Im near the end of the NCR storyline for New Vegas and I have to deal with the Khans. I always try to ally as many factions with the NCR due to my playstyle but after reading the New Vegas Wiki it seems if Karl is dead, Papa wont ally with NCR because you cant disprove them for some reason although him being dead shouldnt matter. anyways, if Karl is dead, the only thing you can do is kill them all or get Regis the Slave ledger and they will just leave without and alliance. The problem is that Karl is hostile immediately I enter the Khan Longhouse. I have mods to allow companions wear faction armor, but Boone is the only one wearing any(NCR Patrol Ranger armor) and he isnt with me. he is at Novac specifically for this quest. Karl doesnt shoot you any other time since he is on Kan soil and Im not wearing faction armor. I killed Caesar and am Vilified by the Legion(hehe) but the Wiki says it doesnt matter but "in some cases, Karl will attack on sight" according to the Wiki. What are these cases and what can I do to ally Khans with NCR?
