  1. heya folks of DAI modding. as the topic title suggests i have some issues with modding scalp textures for qunari. Modded only one so far, the scalp texture that is used for the mohawk hair styles. http://i.imgur.com/90AoxJs.jpg?1 as you can see it works perfectly well in the game, but only in certain areas. if i try to enter or load a save in Haven i get the endless loading bug, same with the character creation screen. Every other area seems to work great with this mod (Hinterlands, Val Royeux, Storm Coast ...). haven't tested the Black Emporuim or Skyhold yet. Is this a known issue with scalp texture mods? are people having same problems with the "No Sideburns" mod or other mods that alter scalp textures? Or is it just me? I'm using the latest mod maker to import and make the .daimod file and the latest mod manager to merge the mods. Tried to merge with and without the other hair mods but still get the same loading bug. When i merge without the qunari scalp mod i can load and travel to Haven with no problems. So I'm rather stumped and would appreciate help with this cause i can't stand those bald qunari scalps  UPDATE: got my answer and solution from great folks at DAITools forum. so if anyone encounters similar issues with endless loading try making your mod again with older versions of Mod Maker, version 1.1.0.17 did the trick for me. you can get older versions of it here http://daitools.freeforums.org/latest-version-announcement-t1065.html
  2. seams like a great idea. I'll be able to help after i'm done with my current mod.
  3. ye don't mess too much with those areas. just accentuate the cheek bones a bit and sharpen the jaw line as well as the chin, maybe even the nose. i agree with u on the horns part. as i said you're on the right track, keep at it.
  4. looks like you're on a good track. just one thing. are u referencing the concept art? http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/969/femqunari.jpg
  5. so u are talking about fixing all of the armor clipping issues in DA2?
  6. well it seams like it should be possible to do what u described. i must admit i thought of it a few times myself. although u might need to enlarge the female skeleton a bit to fit a female qunari model, but ye it seams doable to me. i might take a crack at it myself after i'm done with a hairstyle mod i'm currently working on. anyways, the best way to know is to try what u described and see if it works.
  7. ye thanks for clearing it up Ish. I realized later that i could have explained myself better. also don't forget to sat the same name in the .msh file too. well i actually found a little workaround for this during my modding. if u have a mesh consisted of two parts and u want both to have a working tint mask, name one part armom1, glovesm1 or bootsm1 (as u normally would) and the other part scalpm1. this way both parts will have a working tint at the expense of your chars scalp which will always be white. of course u will only notice the white scalp if your char is bold or has a buzz-cut, any other hairstyle will conceal the scalp. not the perfect solution but a solution nonetheless. not sure about the meshes with more than two parts, that's a little tricky. hope u understood some of my ramblings here. cheers.
  8. although all of my mods are .7zip's i can see that going with .zip is the way to go for now. of course, self-installing mods would be the best solution. I myself am a Total Commander user, so it handles all of my packing and unpacking issues.
  9. this sounds like a scripting issue to me. particularly the reward scripts. unfortunately and as far i as know there is still no way to edit DA2 scripts. so the only way i see this being resolved for the time being is adding the armors your self through console. hardly the best solution but it's the best i can come up with right now. cheers
  10. yep. i agree with amycus here. "building in" the hairstyle u want into the helmet model is the best way to go around it. u can easily fix any clipping issues that way. cheers.
  11. u should also be aware that for the tint to work properly your armor needs to be named: armorm1 or glovesm1 or bootsm1, or clothesm1. the m1 part of the name is very important. tint mask only work for armors that have the m1 in their name. cheers.
