Well I just recently encountered this problem; the whole area near the brotherhood sanctuary east of falkreath. I started a new game and went to the dark sanctuary and no CTD. However, when I tried loading a save from this place i CTD. I dont use SMIM but i think I might use the updated one to see if that works. I also recently used a texture optimizing mod that reduced file sizes and removed some "unnecessary" files from texture/mesh folders. I backed up my texture/mesh folder so im going to revert those and try SMIM. If this works I wont repost. Thanks for the info btw

True, true. I also forgot to mention I have 92 actual speech skill not counting buffs. Furthermore, I have all perks in speech tree except the 100 one. Lol, using console i added 1000speech and i intimidated... broken? ANyway thanks.

I forgot to mention that I have +100 spech skill with an amulet/blessing. Need more info plz.

SIGH! - I have been playing this game for so long and I have no clue whatsoever as to what exactly determines a successful intimidate pass when speaking to someone. I amcurrently level 50, i have full daedric armor, high skill levels, i play a high elf - battle-mage. What gives honestly? Is it broken perhaps? I have been looking into it for awhile now. I know the pc booklet says intimidate depends on speech skill + level. So what the... Please need someone to resolve this issue. THANKS!

So I have been negligent on progressing the main quest because I cannot intimidate guards. Does anyone know the requirements for this, like speech skill and player lvl needed? Thanks

So I have leveled up to 31 simply because I wanted to be able to intimidate the Whiterun guard in the 'Before the storm' quest. I know persuasion is dependent solely on speech skill but intimidation is based on speech and player level. I have avoided progressing this quest and chose not to do so until I can intimidate the guard, if possible, or find out what the guard says with that option - intimidate. Can anyone confirm this? I created a lvl 100 avatar with 100+ speech and I was unable to intimidate lol, but perhaps I did something wrong.
