  1. Yeah I've done FNIS, and i haven't changed my anims in a long time.
  2. The cahnge should be perfectly okay because
  3. You could just do it the hard and completely unnecesary way and change his faction yourself. Although i dont see how this is any better at all than just disabling the mod for 15 minutes.
  4. Falion's quest. I've mentioned it twice already.
  5. I have given you 3 viable solutions and you aren't doing them for reasons that are foolish or based on just not wanting to accept my help. I'm done with this thread. You can complain more about your "immersion" where you want vampire hunters to not attack vampires. Edit: I even spent time pointing out the bug to the vampire mods author in th hope he patches it for you. glad one of us isn't being childish.
  6. They shouldnt know it though, just like you can walk around in towns and everyone says "Your looking very pale, are you ok"? People in towns aren't dedicated vampire hunters though are they. You are a vampire, vampire hunters attack you. You want this to not happen and complain of immersion breakage? Then you can't be helped. Also i made it all the way to lvl 48 before starting dawnguard and didn't get turned once, came close a couple times but the big red flash across my screen kinda pointed out something was wrong. It's only your fault here. Looks like you have two choices, uninstall that vamp mod or get falions cure.
  7. They ARE vampire hunters. and it's equally easy to cure it before it infects you fully. You could go do the cure quest for Falion in Morthal if you dont want to use the console. Edit: the dawngurad aren't part of the vigilant faction, they are listed as DLC1HunterFaction
  8. I wouldn't say it's a mod problem, but then i have never started the dawnguard questline as a vampire so i can't say if it works or not. You can just use the console to set yourself as human again then go back to vamp afterwards. player.setrace nordrace player.setrace nordracevampire etc etc
  9. Okay so you're testing this with the maps mod i see, Is that installed right now via NMM? I know for a fact that it doesn't use esp or esm so it shouldnt show up on the list, and isn't so thats all good  are you sure this isn't working in game? depending on what options you chose when you installed it, it could look a lot like the vanilla map. To test the list itself you are going to need to use a different mod though, something which you'll probably end up using anyway is SkyUI here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863/? this mod does use an .esp so it should show up in the list, and it's just as easy to check because you just need to open your inventory or spell menu  You WILL need SKSE to run SkyUI aswell, but at the end of the day you'll need skse for like 50% of the mods on the nexus anyway, so that's must have too at the end of the day. Okay i've gone off topic here, the list isn't even the problem... So the map isn't working? >.<
  10. It does that huh? I rely on steam too much, i don't know what goes on without it x3 So basically, no update.esm means no legitimate game copy eh.
  11. The update.esm will only appear if you have updated the game to the latest version... I'm honestly not sure how to do that without steam. Steam btw is an online and offline gaming community with a market and game library you can access via the installed app. It is, if i say so myself, the core of pc gaming in this generation. You should really look into it if you want to game on a PC  And the missing update.esm is highly likely what is causing your problems, most mods are created on the latest game version and as such, require the update.esm as a master file. And as i have mentioned previously, mising masters is often the cause of crashing on startup.
  12. For one you should stop using the game launcher for anything other than changing graphic settings. NMM will show you what mods you have installed, and it will do so more accurately. Could you do me a favour and screenshot the load order shown on NMM? It is on the "Plugins" tab.
  13. Is that your entire load list? And i see two skyrim.esm's that shouldn't be like that, it's probably one of the problems. I highly recommend you install and use the NMM to organise, download and install your mods, it's much more user friendly and genuinely useful unlike the vanilla method.
  14. Crashes at the bethesda logo are usually caused by missing master files. Are the mods you downloaded or any other mods reliant on a .esm or another .esp which is not placed before it in the load list?
  15. Well there are a few things you can do about this, you can try adding this line under [General] in your my games\skyrim\skyrim.ini: bLoadLooseFiles=1 Or similarly if your files are archived in a .bsa but don't have an .esp (this can even be done with .bsa's that have .esp's, i have done this with the HD dlc pack so that they dont overwrite custom textures in game) you can add the .bsa to the [Archive] section of the same skyrim.ini like this: Hopefully one of these will help. edit: I am assuming that you are adding files that do not have an .esm or .esp, am i wrong?
  16. What this guy said, it should be noted that crashes on startup are very likely caused by missing master files, you should check your load order for these as a first step to debug the CTD.
  17. Sadly not the kind of transparency he is after, he is looking for how to get this:
  18. Or just download falskaar xD it's a decent mod anyway :) FYI BOSS is highly recommended and there is really nothing to be confused about, it fixes your load order and shows you problems in a log file afterwards. it has a GUI so its as simple as checking boxes and clicking "run".
  19. In all honesty, i dunno, i taught myself how to use nifskope and how to use the creation kit. But i have never come across the problem of not being able to attach a property before, which makes me think it would just be called "attaching an alpha property" or something. edit: just googled it, the first result was the official guide on enabling alpha. Essentially it was exactly what i said before but typically didnt mention what problems could occur during this process >.< It is also on a older version so probably not the best guide to follow. But anyway yeah, try searching for "enabling alpha"
  20. That mod is really old and not really the best way to get 1hd weapons on your back anyway  if you have the nexus mod manager installing mods is fairly simple, it's just point and click. I would recommend the Dual Sheath Redux mod available here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34155/? and with the mod manager you simply have to click on DOWNLOAD (NMM) and activate it once it has finished. You will need to install this first http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26800/? and choose the 1h on back when prompted during the installation. And probably the compatability patch for the two which is the "Sword On Back Pack" available on Dual Sheath Redux's download page.
  21. I doubt it will be the animations, as they are just animations. It'll be a skeleton conflict between xp32 and dual sheath redux then i imagine. I'll tamper with it tomorrow
  22. And now you really need nifskope, you have to add an NiAlphaProperty to the NiTriShape which the "fur" belongs to. This is simple enough, when you select the right trishape there will be a white grid of connected vertices showing over the model that the trishape applies to, when you have selected the fur you can just right click the trishape branch and then Node > Attach Property > NiAlphaProperty edit: also i am tired and going to bed so if you need more info than this then someone else will have to continue my role :)
  23. Another alternative is simply using the consol to reduce shout cooldowns. Dragonrend erryday all day
  24. Neither way is necessary but both work, it all works out well in the end :)
  25. While i appreciate and agree with this thread, i can't help but be slightly annoyed that the title is in all caps and stickied :(
