  1. Hi, All, hope this isn't a repost or anything. My issue is that my character has the Wild Wasteland trait and although I'm about 30 hours in, I have had ABSOLUTELY NO random encounters that I would consider wild, funny, or even interesting. In fact, in all the time I've been playing, I can only think of 2 non-combat random encounters (at Nipton, a man comes running who has won the lottery; somewhere else, a man says he was almost killed by his girlfriend for his Star bottlecaps). I'm not sure if these encounters fall under the Wild Wasteland trait, but if they do, I am thuroughly disappointed - because these were both somewhat quest-specific, I assume they were encounters everyone has had. Apart from these encounters, I haven't randomly stumbled upon anything but enemies. Has anyone else had this experience? If there ARE funny/wild momments, why am I not finding them? I've heard others write about a couple things here and there (Indiana Jones in a refrigerator, Holy Hand Grenade stuff), but haven't experienced any of these myself. I've been playing since Fallout 2, so I'm used to tons of eastereggs and lots of goofy stuff. There was a lot less of that in Fallout 3, but I still found WAY more weird stuff in that than I've found in Fallout:New Vegas. So, what's the deal? Has anyone else felt this way? Is there something I'm missing? As stupid as it may sound, is it possible that my game is malfunctioning or something? Generally speaking, the game is awesome, but I'm really missing the usual Fallout humor and easter eggs and weird random encounters. So far, Wild Wasteland has been anything but. Whether or not you agree, any of your comments would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!
