Just like the title said. I want to use gamepad while playing and keyboard for hotkeys items and some console command. The game seems to force me to use one or the other not both at the same time.

I'm about to buy ssd soon but i don't want to reinstall my window and steam, So my question is if i leave my window and steam on my old hdd and then just install Skyrim SE, MO2 and mods on the ssd Will it make any diffrence? Will my game load faster? Also if i install another 8GB of ram(my current RAM is 8GB) will the game automatically make use of it? Thank you.

It should but in my case it didn't. My problem is that programs like MO2, NMM, FOMM, LOOT and FNV edit didn't detected which plugin is missing master. So if programs cant help me then i need someone to help me find the plugin that is the problem. It happened to me many times now with this exact same plugins and i gave up every time it did ,but this time even if i can't play the game i would really like to know that which one is the culprit. Also even if i disabled all the plugins except the dlcs it still tell me that i am ''missing master''.

Need help locating the "Missing Master" plugins. I dont know which one is the cause. I also ran LOOT and FNV edit (both are the lasted version) but they didn't noticed any error at all. Here are my plugins list These are the mods that have plugins. I won't be adding anymore mods since these are the mods that i will play with but one or some of them gave me the "Missing master" error and LOOT and FNV didn't gave me any error at all. So i need help locating it. Thank you.

Maybe these will not help you but please try all of it. The mod "Campfire" is know to have cause CTD at a certain point of the game. I suggest you don't use this mod for now and wait for the author to update his mod. When i use RaceMenu i always get CTD when i try changing cell or when enemies spawn. Disabling this mod and see if this help. I recommend using ECE instead if you really want an advance character creation mod and wait for the author to officially port his mod. It will be a stable mod by then. Since you have RaceMenu installed that mean you have SKEE.dll and SKEE.ini installed too correct? If so if you are using XPMSE, Which version are you using? Is it V4.1 or V4.3? If it is then uninstall it and use XPMSE V4.20 instead. The current version of XPMSE is unstable and will cause CTD. If you really dont want to uninstall RaceMenu i suggest installing SEE Engine Fix. This mod will make RaceMenu work with XPMSE. Please don't give up. I too have encounter CTD during my first time playing Skyrim SE with mods and i have almost gave up. All your effort will be worth it.

I'm not sure if I should create a new thread for this or not, but I'm having the same issue described above, however I already have SSE Engine Fixes installed. I have SKEE installed (using the Youtube tutorial posted on the Nexus page) along with XPMSSE. I get the same CTD during the part of the quest where Borri teaches you Whirlwind. I used this custom STEP guide as a baseline for my modlist: http://wiki.step-project.com/User:TechAngel85/SSE_Guide/v2 This is my load order: Which version of XPMSSE are you using? If it is V 4.1/4.3 i suggest you uninstall it and use XPMSSE V 4.20 instead. The lasted version of XPMSSE are currently incompatible with the newest SKEE file and it will always causing CTD at high hroghtar and ONLY the part that master Bori is teaching you the shout after you get through this part, U will no longer get CTD. From what i understand, XPMSSE 4.3 if use together with newest SKEE will prevent Bori from speaking the shout and the game try so hard to make him speak that it cause memory overload and leads to CTD. (This is what i understand, It may not be true) You won't have any problem if you use XPMSSE V 4.20 though. As i have said above "I fix my CTD issue by reverting XPMSSE v4.3 to XPMSSE v4.20 and my ctd was solved." it may not help you but it worth a try. Also you should visit the SEE Engine Fixes page here at nexus for more details. A lot of people also encounter this particular CTD and the author of SEE Engine Fixes also acknowledge this but he have yet to find the solution. The only solutions i know of now are Reverting XPMSSE v4.3 to XPMSSE v4.20 or removing the SKEE.dll and SKEE.ini although the latter does not work for me. Dont worry, Reverting XPMSSE v4.3 to XPMSSE v4.20 will not break your armor mods or your save game cause i can still playing for hours. Edit: Forget to mention this, After you uninstall XPMSSE v4.3 and install XPMSSE v4.20 make sure you load the save BEFORE you enter high hrothgar otherwise Bori will not move at all and it will break the quest so make sure you use that save and you can continue to do the quest normally.

I have already resolved this issue. The problem DID CAME from XPMSSE v4.3 being imcompatible with SSE Engine Fixes and it will always CTD at High Hrothgar. It is an ongoing problem with the newest SKEE file or something (i dont really know the details). I fix my CTD issue by reverting XPMSSE v4.3 to XPMSSE v4.20 and my ctd was solved. As for the Bashed Patch, I been playing Besthesda's games with mods for a long time and i have never made/used a bashed patch still all of the games i play ran fine without it so i just gonna leave it at that.

I just found out that my ctd problem come SSE Engine Fixes and XPMSSE but i dont know what to do. I very confused right now. Should i uninstalled SSE Engine Fixes or XPMSSE or both? and if i do uninstall XPMSSE and want to revert back to version 4.2 do i have to unistall all of the Faces/Body textures and armors mods as well since those file need XPMSSE to work. Please Help!! Thank you.

***SOLVED*** I got ctd when i am on a quest "The way of the voice" when i have to follow master bori outside it when crashed and if i manage to go out to the courtyard it will still ctd anyway after 10-20 seconds. I been playing for hours without any ctd until this part of the quest. So l need help identifying the mod that could cause this ctd Here is my lord order from LOOT Aside from this load order, I have Quick Loot which doesn't have esp. I know that most people have encounter this problem too but most of them fix this by removing "Campfire" mod but since i do not have that mod i do know what could be the cause.

I was about to clean my master esm files but after reading this post, Should i still clean these files? Because it seems cleaning master file will cause ctd.

Thank you everyone for helping me out and i finally have good new. I am able to fix my infamous riverwood ctd at last and i also try to play around a bit with no issue so far The mod the was giving me trouble was RaceMenu which is also a mod that i ported myself using a video guide i found on internet since the original mod aren't available for Skyrim SE yet. How RaceMenu affect all of this i still dont know. I'm also dont know why u guys didnt mention that racemenu would be the cause. Anyway after i removed racemenu i started to installed some mods (including UIExtension and Alternate Start) and so far have not encounter any Ctd Maybe now i can start the actual modding. Also l now learned that i should have use mod the have been properly port and available to use on Nexus and not to port mods myself. I will mark this topic as solve now. Excatly. I know my CTD problem must comes from changing cell/spawning npcs. On the other side of that deer, There're supposed to be 2 wolves on the road (Oldrim has this too) and further away there is a giant fighting the companions at the farm although i havent been to that farm yet. I will try fast travel there and see if i will get CTD on not. This is the 2nd time i installed Skyrim SE. The 1st time was back in 2016 shortly after the game released but at that time i haven't even launch the game because i didnt want to play at the time so i uninstalled it and i also deleted both folders in Documents and AppData when i unistalled. My SKSE64 is already the lasted version. I know my game is probably broke now so i will try reinstall the game again and play without any mod first and see if still CTD. Edit: Aside from the load order that i provided above, There are other 2 mods that i have installed but these mods don't need plugins. Quick Loot and Sovngarde - Mist's Font Replacer I doubt these mods are the cause but still worth mentioning. Edit2: I noticed that a lot of people have crash log note with them when their game crash so where can i get one?

I haven't even start the real game yet. The save file i have are currently for testing mods this is why i have alternate start. I use alternate start to pick an option to spawn at riverwood inn and walk around the area a bit because i want to know how have fps i will have before i will start actual modding then after i walk to that area i start to get ctd and only that area. I stil dont know about other area though since i havent go to those place yet but if i cant get past this area i'm sure that i will get ctd with other areas as well. also i just installed the game yesterday and even try verifying game cache to see if it will help but no luck still. The only thing i may try is reinstalled the game and try to play without any mods install at all to see if i still have this problem. I am currently playing Oldrim at the moment so i will try this as soon as i can. If it still ctd then i think i will just play oldrim for now since it works perfectly for me even with tons of mods, But still if possible i would like to know what could be the cause for the ctd in this specfic area.
