  1. Sorry for the thread necro D0ne. In reality, banning the religious discussion thread is for the best because it's preventing flame wars of massive scale. It isn't ignoring the problem as much as it is just refraining from talking about it in order to maintain civility. Vlad, you are right that when we Ban it that we are stating that there are huge problems. In the past any time we would open up a religious debate or something somewhat related, the thread would get hi-jacked by people who were not open minded at all and therefore contributed nothing to the debate save for being a lightning rod. All civil tones and manners would be dropped and the thread would ALWAYS get locked because the debate would descend into petty name calling and go nowhere. Again, they're not ignoring the problem by banning it. If you had actually read this thread and then looked at the religious debate threads that had been locked and led up to this decision, you would understand. And Western society isn't way too touchy, I'd gladly discuss religion (I'm atheist) with you if it weren't for the knowledge that some fundamentalist (from either side) would come along and ruin it for everyone. This is a done deal, and I highly doubt that it will be recinded in the near OR far future.
  2. Bump With the chance of being labeled a necro, though I have dabbled in the dark arts, I just wanted to say that the BETA of Iredior is the most awesome thing ever. I eagerly await the full version. I dl'd the beta a few days ago, and had my chance to explore the city. Theta et al. all I can say is "Bloody well done!". If the Beta is this good with the detail and characters then I will die if I play the full version. I love the tongue in cheek names you gave the fishermen and that wonderful scalawag living in the basement of the Red Alit, it would do mr Silver proud. The city is what I had imagined the Imperial City would be like, I love the clutter and attention to detail, the small streets (reminds me of me old stomping grounds a la Garrett) and even though it isn't as pretty graphically as Oblivion, it feels 100 times more alive than Oblivion. Keep up the good work, and know that you now have gained a die hard fan. Cheers, ~A ps: I loved reading the Customs Office's Health and Safety Manuals, I've never laughed that hard in a long time.
  3. Yeah but honestly, I empathize with Dark0ne on this because in the end, a topic on religion is a lose lose situation. Neither side will give ground, and it's utterly pointless. But, when arguing things like Evolution, it's impossible to avoid debating it within a religious context, because that is essentially the largest and widely used counter-argument against Evolution and Darwinism. Topics that are centered around "Who's Religion is better" or something of that sort should be banned, but for other topics wherein the lines are blurred, posters should be warned that they need to be mindful not to hijack the thread and turn it into a religious flame war; that has happened many a time IIRC. But yeah, if you want to argue about the existence of God, I suggest you refrain from it. It'll wind up in a stalemate or a locked thread because of flaming. Or it'll go nowhere.
  4. Peregrine Posted Dec 27 2004, 12:32 AM Hmm odd, after I posted that totally worthless post, I thought that as well... But it's probably for the folk who aren't familiar with the MW forums, and are familiar with the Gaming Source forums instead.
  5. This game is going to dominate every RPG game on the market. Fable had a chance, and failed, miserably(sp). Bethseda's going to show BBB and Moleneux(sp) how it's really done. I know TESIV: Oblivion will not disappoint. To be blunt, f--- Fable, Fable 2, and any other self-proclaimed "RPG to end all RPG's". Oblivion deserves the above mentioned title. Still, we won't know how good (or bad) it is until it comes out. I have (with an absurd amount of pride) my hopes resting on this game.
  6. *In the darkness of the void, he stirs. Since he is privvy to everything that Mortals say or think, he mostly finds a way to block out their voices and thoughts as he finds them trivial and useless. But one conversation catches his attention, though it comes in bits and pieces.* *He decides to remove himself from the Star he is absorbing, and the message clears instantly* *This continues on for some time, with transmissions between other voices as well. His interest aroused, he heads for the Sol system and in search of the one named 'Peregrine'. He faintly remembers the name, but cannot recall why it is significant to him. *Focusing his thoughts, he forgoes his physical body and becomes a bright ball of of light. The ball of light shoots off at speeds that defy science, and it heads for Sol.
  7. *In the vastness of space he floats, time does not concern him. Each generation of people comes and goes like seconds on a clock. In this eternal darkness and airless vacuum he drifts, unconcerned by the wars and struggles of Man. He turns his gaze towards a small, medium sized star near the edge of a particular galaxy. It's history passes before his eyes in a matter of minutes, Empires rize and fall. Planets destroyed, only to be recreated and then destroyed again. *He finds that he has grown cold, and that the vacuum of space no longer comforts him. Thus he seeks warmth in a nearby Proto-Star. Upon entering his body burns away and all that remains is his Spirit. Years turn to seconds and Centuries to minutes; as he absorbs the energy of the star and the enormous nuclear reactions that drive the celestial furnace, he speeds up the Star's life-cycle. 10,000 years pass and the star is now nearing the end of it's Main-Sequence cycle. Still, he remains, warming his Soul for the long travel to...it matters not for now. *5,000 years pass, and the star is now a Red-Supergiant. He awakes from his long rest, and absorbs the last of the great furnace. The Red Giant collapses in on itself and then goes into a Supernova, annihliating it's own system; a complete 8 to 10 billion year life-cycle completed in 15,000 years. Now, warm and fully awake, his presence draws matter to his Spirit and he is reborn again. All what remains of the star is an ultra dense object, also know as a black hole. He floats through the void, and time does not concern him.
  8. Thanks for the correction, I forgot that there were no greaves. I remember I 'borrowed' the Daedric Greaves from Orvas Dren (using invisibility, mark and recall, and a whole hell of a lot of jumping around) Can't recall howI got the pauldrons, but I did... In any case I felt like a badass... (Now what would be really awsome is a plugin that gives you Sauron's movie armour from the FotR Movie, also if it would increase your height and have a sort of strength and speed increase spell on it as well) *Drools I would OWN Vivec, and I would be able to turn into a werewolf as well. *Ponders* Well, first I would wipe out Solstheim and re-name it Tol-in-Guarhoth :shifty:
  9. Alrighty, se Lord Mhas(sp) Revenge basically summons a Bound Daedric Shield, Curiass, Helm, Boots, Gauntlets, Battle Axe, Greaves, and that's it I believe. Now, you know the pic. of your character correct? And how to equip/unequip armour you drag it on or off the pic. right? Well, with bound items, once summoned go to the inventory menu and remove the item off your character. Once this is done, then remove said item (must be bound) and drop it. Wait for 60 seconds (Nominal Bound item time) and after the Bound Item icon near the GPS map thingy fades you will have a constant effect item that weighs nothing. With LMR you can do the same since they are all Bound items. I had a stroke of genius one night and tried it out. Well, sufficient to say I was pleased with my myself in what I had discovered. It makes the player nearly invincible...but then again I never took on Dagoth Ur with said Armour yet...must try this..hrm hoom... Hope that is clear... :D
  10. Hrm, let's see. Bound Items: Possibly the best 'tip/cheat/thingy' in the game. Summon a bound *enter weapon name* and then unequip it from your inventory. After placing it in your inventory off your person, drop it. You cannot remove it off your person and drop it, you have to drop it into your inventory first THEN you may drop it. So now you have a constant effect Daedric Weapon that weighs absolutley nothing :D. Another tip: Obtain the Scroll of Lord Mhas(sp) Revenge, lather, rinse and repeat...always repeat. ;) The only armor of Daedric nature you'll need are Pauldrons, since there are no spells or scrolls that summon pauldrons.
  11. Cool, I DL ZipGenius. It works fine, yet I can only run one plug-in (the LOTR weapons plugin). When I go to extract the others, nothing happens and on the 'Data File' section of the MW startup there is only Morrowind.esm and LOTR WEapons (plugin). How would I get the other plugins to run?
  12. Ok, I found the Data Files (well, in some at least) but I am confused as to how I would move them to the root directory. Please bear with me, I am not technologically savvy, and I am a dunce when it comes to this sort of thing... Thanks for the patience... A.
  13. Ok, I apologize if this is Necromancy, but I am currently trying to install a couple of plugins (the hadhafang quest and smokeable pipes) and I cannot get them to show up on my Data File screen. I used Winzip (I know, I know) to extract the files and now I am sort of lost as to what I need to do next. The explanation at the begining of this thread was a little confusing since I do not have ZipGenius nor do I have the time to DL it. Some help would be appreciated greatly (as this is my first time using plugins on MW). Thanks greatly, A.
  14. *Outside of the Black Tower of Mojlnir's company, a figure approaches the double doors of the entrance. The figure is wearing a blacker than black trench coat, with a black fedora that has a silver sash around it. Underneath the coat, the figure is dressed in an elegant cross between a business suit and a formal wear (which is black as well). Upon his hands black leather gloves, and a flash of silver appears from underneath his coat: a walking cane, elegantly hand carven from materials unknown. It appears to be wood but the sharp 'tap' of it against the concrete tells otherwise. Upon it is a Silver-White figurehead of a Dragon, with bright saphires for eyes. A chill wind momentarily disturbs the coat and reveals that behind the high collar is a sword strapped to this interloper's back. It is of a strange and foreign shape, like a Japanese Katana but with a broader blade, and a greater curve to the blade. Leaflike in appearance. As the figure approaches the building, his footsteps echo louder and louder. He vanishes, and moments later appears unoticed in a darkened corner in the meeting room Mojlnir and the others are in watching from undeneath the fedora. *He is also equiped with dual Desert Eagle .50, and two Ingram's across the small of his back.

    Important

Ok, now I have a query. If we can't use any advanced weaponry or technology, then for the rest of us who are stuck in space, how do we get down to Earth? We can land in Drop Ships, but after which we have to ditch them, right? And the scenario you came up with is shades of Battlestar Galactica 1980. Not that it's a bad thing, just amusing.
