  1. As long as Skyrim has been out, I'm surprised no one has made a mod featuring Rynn and/or Arokh from Drakan, given the whole dragon theme Skyrim has. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drakan:_The_Ancients%27_Gates Companions, quests, hell even merchants - the possibilities are endless to toss in the red headed, green eyed dragon riding & dragon slaying lass from Drakan. Personally, I'd love to see her(or both) as a companion or housecarl. Anyone up to the task/challenge?
  2. In response to post #17264784. Well said lordandrews - have a cookie :P
  3. In response to post #16966494. #16967594, #16992269, #16997774, #17067284, #17074519, #17076184, #17081344, #17085469, #17086239, #17142079, #17226674, #17240004 are all replies on the same post. You guys are blowing things way out of hand here. Let's be realistic - premium membership is a donation, with a few extra perks, nothing more. You still have the same access to the site's mods as a free member. Every website has it's share of issues. Do I think Nexus expanded a little too large, a little too fast? Yes, but that's just my opinion. I don't run the site anymore than you guys do. So as many others would say - accept that the site will have issues every so often and enjoy it (the sites and their content) as best you can, or go elsewhere for your mod needs. There is a feedback thread in the forums - if you must sound off on a site-related issue that you perceive as an annoyance, do it there - complaining about issues with the site in one of the news articles isn't likely to get your issue noticed. I appreciate the hard work the Nexus crew does for the sites, just like I appreciate the hard work the talented modders put into the mods - to them I say thank you.
  4. I'm trying to convert the Seraphim Race's face texture(the Seraphim mod by BuchezZz on the Oblivion Nexus) because I've been dying to role play a Seraphim character in the Fallout world. I'm not looking to make a conversion for public release, just for my own personal use. I do have paint.net, and I'm able to open it, apply it to the FNV folder, etc - but the texture is completely messed up when I load the game. Can anyone help me get it properly applied via advice, or perhaps a link to a tutorial?
  5. I've had the desire to play as a Seraphim character from Sacred in FNV, but I don't know enough about the GECK, Blender, etc to be able to make one. Honestly, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Could someone help a fellow gamer out?
  6. I'm trying to remake the Service Rifle for FO3. I know I know, can't make it and upload it to the Nexus due to legal reasons. My intention is for personal use ONLY, which is allowed by law. What I need help with is how to extract the texture and mesh for the Service Rifle. If someone could help me I'd really appreciate it. Either a simple-to-understand, plain English guide, or even a webpage with the info would be fine. Thank you in advance.
  7. Thank you for the heads up. I wish more sites with forums would give advance warnings like this.
  8. Piracy is the reason games are so damn expensive these days. I'll give you an example - I got my start in gaming back in the early 80s with an Atari 2600, and games back then cost approx. $20. Nintendo, games started jumping to $30-$35. Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, etc brought the price to $40-$50, and now in the current gen the cost is $60 on average. Thanks pirates - if Iit was legal to do so, I'd hang them like they did back in the old days.
  9. Your system is not to different from mine(I'm on a laptop, I'm assuming yours is a desktop) - I used the bushes removed, grass removed and tumbleweeds removed mods, along with setting the graphics down to their lowest settings(no shadows, etc) and the game runs fairly well on my system. I still get some occasional lag on Lonesome Road and Dead Money, but most of it is when there is a shitload of action going on(LR, for example, in the tunnles after leaving hopeville, and SM after starting the opning gala, when there are a lot of the Ghost People showing up) - about 15 seconds or so each time, but clears up once the amount of "actors" onscreen die off. But other than that, the game runs pretty smoothly. Try the three remover mods I suggested. Just one thing to note - if you start a new game with them active, it will cause you to NOT be able to draw your weapon, so start with them off, make your character, save and quit, then reload with them active. If you still have lag, start turning your graphics settings for the game to a lower setting. Even on the lowest settings, it still looks pretty good, at least in my opinion. Other than that, there are other performance tweak-type mods avaliable here on Nexus - I've never used them, but some of them duplicate the effects of others, so check up on them if you need to do more tweaking.
  10. I can only speak for myself personally - but I wouldn't be surprised if others feel the same. And please keep in mind I only read the first post - so I'm answering ONLY the question, not anyone else's commentary. I'm 32, male, US Merchant Marine, not a zit covered preteen or teenage kid who's just coming into puberty and starting to realize why I'm staring at those cute gals across the room from me LOL. I'm also a bit of a sci fi/fantasy fan, and for some reason playing the role of a strong female character has a wierd sort of appeal to me. Look at most of your "hero" type of fiction - at least 90% of the time, it's the muscle bound guy who rescues the frail, defenseless female, and after 20+ years of gaming I sometimes go looking for the "role reversal" that some games, like Fallout, Oblivion/Skyrim and a few others will allow. I do NOT play MMOs, so I'm only commenting on games where it's single player - when I play games online(either PC or PS3) where I'm given a gender choice, I'll play as a male just to avoid the endless crap of young kids saying things like "you're hot" or "lets get married!". Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I think all of us have a varying amount of desire to see the strong yet sexy heroic female type defy the odds AND sterotypes and save the day. Can it feel wierd? Sure, most definetly. But when you sit there and think of other games where you HAVE to play a female - Tomb Raider, Bloodrayne and Heavenly Blade, to name a few - you realize that it's not as wierd as you'd think. Better than 50% of the gaming community is male, so sometimes you'd be surprised as hell who's really behind the avatar :P
  11. I've been trying to port over a part of Drazius's "Outfits For Type 3" mod from FO3 to NV for my own use. I've already PMed Draz about it, and either he hasnt read the PM or has chosen to ignore it. Specifically, in that mod there is a Bloodrayne outfit I'm trying to port. As it's part of an outfit pack, I'm running into trouble and have given up. Since many of you are more skilled than I am at modding and porting, could someone perhaps port over the bloodrayne outfit for me? Thanks in advance.
  12. I am aware on the rules regarding porting content from other games, and I know such ports are not allowed to be ported. My question is strictly for my own use. I'd love to import the crusader's sword from Oblivion's Knights Of The Nine expansion into FNV for my new melee character, but before I go thru time and effort trying to port it, I'd like to know if it is doable. I know many of my fellow members have Oblivion, and some have probably tried to port a particular item or two, which is why I'm asking. Again, my project is strictly for my own usage and not for posting online.
