  1. I`m using Type 6M as my body replacer at the moment, and I`ve run into a roadblock. It works fine and I`ve had no problems installing it but I want to know if I can make a certain change to it. I would prefer not to use a nude texture, but if I use a version that has underwear, there is a large black void in the texture that shows on some armours. Both scenarios damage immersion, and I want to know if I can find or make a texture without the void but with underwear? If so, how would I go about doing this?
  2. Thanks for the input, I'll see if I can get it working and get back to you.
  3. I have a savegame that has gone through all of the DLC, is level 50 etc, etc. I installed a few mods and played a different savegame, but now the first will not load. The loading screen shows for a few moments (up to 20 seconds) and then it stops responding, with no option to wait and see if it responds. It just dies on me. Now, I had loaded this savegame on numerous occasions to test various things, and did NOT save over it. It just suddenly decided to crash to the desktop if I tried to load it. If it's corrupted, then why did it work beforehand? What corrupts a savegame, is it something to do with loading it, or is it in the process of saving that it becomes corrupted?
  4. I think that Energy weapons from earlier Fallouts were very pretty, but the way that everything is built in FO3 and FNV is scientifically sound, eg Laser rifle looks like a laser that you can carry, less like a weapon and more like an improvisation. I'm not sure how I feel about plasma weapons, they feel very close quarters but look very delicate with all the glass bulbs. YES, I think that energy weapons should be smoother (with the possible exception the gauss rifle), but it doesn't sit right with me to make them more like guns and less like the early-prototype weapons that they were.
  5. I've been working on a companion mod for a while and I want to give the character a customized face, somewhere in between a ghoul and a human. I have the ability to model this (it's still a work in progress) but I don't know how I would get this into GECK and apply it to my NPC. Another concern I have is getting his mouth to move when he speaks; I've never done lip-syncing before and I want to know if there's something in the model itself that I'll need to make. Thanks in advance!
  6. I've been trying to get back into modding myself in the past two weeks, and I'm working on a companion mod at the moment. There will always be people like me who just play Fallout all the time, and we'll keep modding :)
  7. My two favourite cowboys of all time are "Cheyenne" and "Harmonica".
  8. I've been toying with the idea of doing a playthrough, just of the main story and DLC main stories, otherwise it could go on FOREVER. I have a few mods I'm planning on using, but I really like the idea of having the community build this playthrough with me. I have an idea for a character that is essentially the opposite of what I always play, but I'd love some input! Thanks in advance for your support! The Character: Female Probably Evil Probably Legion or Independant Most likely Energy weapon user Most likely NOT stealth-oriented Definitely going to be a cannibal. The Mods: Project Nevada WMX Arenovalis' Retextures A Legion Overhaul (undecided) Nevada Skies Your suggestions? And more!
  9. The issue seems resolved, but I need to ask about the changes I made to my .ini file. WHAT did the changes do, and SHOULD I change the .ini back to the way it was before?
  10. ISSUE TENTATIVELY RESOLVED It seems that it didn't fully install, and the issue has been solved. I'm going to load my mods and try to resume my game, stay tuned.
  11. This didn't work, so should I change the .ini back to what is was originally? I'm going to reinstall the game, see if that makes a difference.
  12. I recently fixed an issue where FOMM would crash, but FNV would work fine. I installed all of my mods and ran NVSE through FOMM, and teh window came up, but no image appeared. It stayed black, and a message came up saying it had stopped responding and that all I could do was close it. Even after removing all of my mods, running FNV through Steam, NVSE and FOMM (just about every way that you can run it), it still crashes on startup. I understand that it may be a UAC issue, but I turned that off and restarted: no luck. If it matters, I'm running Windows 7 (64-Bit). Also, when installing mods I ran into an issue with Project Nevada. I'm not sure if it's related, but the crashdump says something about access to a path being denied, so I'll include it, just in case:
  13. let me guess this is simply a UAC issue caused by Micro$haft's social disease "UAC" read the steam forums and move your game (or steam) outside of that cursed directory Thanks for the suggestion, but I uninstalled/reinstalled FOMM after I used CCleaner, and I have FOMM in its own folder with nothing else. Everything runs smoothly. Thanks to you both for all of your help! PS. It appears that NMM had only a tangential role in this issue, and I'm not sure if it ever caused a problem at all (I tried fixes for it before I posted here, so I may have pre-emptively fixed something). In any case, the topic of this thread seems very harsh in retrospect, and I don't want to discourage anyone from using NMM.
  14. CCleaner has succeeded in changing the contents of the Crashdump:
