Unfortunately the appdata folder was on C:/, I have loose it when my SSD suddenly died. So, I need to start from scratch, but thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, For the second time in few mounths, I have to reinstall Vortex after some computer issues. Each time, the SSD where most Vortex infos (mods...) and steam games (skyrim SE) are stored (G:/) was not affected, only the system disk is, with windows and different programs including Vortex (but not its data). So, I have on C:/ windows and Vortex, and on G:/ Skyrim SE and Vortex data ; C:/ must be formatted, but G:/ is still intact. The first time that issue happened on my computer I haven't succeeded to recover my Vortex data (after reinstalled it on C:/) : after many trials I have resigned to mod my Skyrim SE from the start, but it takes me about 2 weeks before I have a good enough result. This time I hope to recover my Votex data. Anyone can help me ? The main issue is Vortex don't accept when I try to point my download folder (in Votex settings) on G:/, Vortex ask an empty folder, which is obviously not because it contain my previous Vortex data. Thanks for your help.

That's happened to me today. As the others peoples, no harm, just need a reinstallation. Of course, I don't believe that Vortex have delete itself; is more likely another windows component who is responsible. I just want to understand to fix this permanently. I'm not comfortable with a component who can delete a program without my consent. I had an auto reboot last night due to windows update, its maybe related.

If that can help, I have the same issue with a "é", widely used in french, in my username. Moreover, it's not the first time that this little specificity causes me some troubles, but with other software, like the DDS plugin for gimp. I'm waiting for a fix.
