  1. I don't normally have dogmeat as a companion, so I can't say for sure. But I think it'll be OK. Read this for more instructions: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1804/?
  2. A safer bet would be to use the "remove factions" console command first. I don't remember exactly what it is, maybe "removefromallfactions", but in the console type: "help remove 0" and it should pop up. So basically its should go like this: either find or spawn an assaultron dominator(for console commands type "help assaultron 0", use page up until you see "assaultron dominator" then type "player.placeatme xxxxx" xxx being whatever the id numbers that come up are.) Exit the console and one will spawn next to you, but it will probably be hostile, so once you turn and face it, hit the console key ~ and click on the npc with your mouse while in 1st person. then type "tai" in the console to disable the ai. Also keep in mind, when you enter "tai" to have the correct npc selected or it will disable ALL ai in the game. With the NPC selected in the console, then type the remove factions command, then enter "help player 0", scroll up until you find the id for the player faction. Then enter "addfac xxxx" xxxx being whatever the player faction id is. Then enter "tai" again and exit the console. If the npc still attacks you, go back into the console and and enter "tai" again. then enter "stopcombat" and "setrelationshiprank player 4". Once you get the npc to stop attacking you, go back into the console, select the npc and enter "setconsolescopequest followers" then enter "forcerefintoalias dogmeatcompanion", then enter "setplayerteammate 1". That should hopefully do it, assuming I got the exact phrasing of all the commands correct. edit: keep in mind that assaultrons are dangerous followers. Their death ray attack might incinerate you if you're not careful.
  3. Awhile back ago I remember seeing a mod that added a set of medieval-style brown monk robes, but now I can't seem to find it. If I remeber correctly, it was featured on the hot files scroll, but so far my searching as come up with nothing that really resembles it. Anyone know if this is an actual mod and what's called?
  4. I had that problem too, and I wound up just using a different npc after using the console to kill and markfordelete the old one. Also, when i use the created nif file, the game crashes to desktop when loading from the main menu.
  5. I could of sworn that someone already did a bat file, or script that covered most of this, like spawning a tent, bedroll, chest. Can't seem to find the thread that had it.
  6. msn files are the object-space normal maps, changing the colors of those is probably something you don't want to do. Maybe try copying the diffuse(files without the _msn or _s suffix) textures from the male and female folders, and pasting them into the darkelffemale or darkelfmale(or which ever elf race) folders. Then, edit the copied files and see if they override the ones from standard male and female folder. Keep in mind that if you change the hue or darkness of the base skin, then the race skin tone presets will increase that effect, or in the case of hue, combine to make an undesired color. Also keep in mind that I am not a modder, and everything I just said I pretty much made up so I have no idea if it actually works :psyduck:
  7. Yes, open the console and type "tmm 1 1 1" or "tmm 1,1,1" not sure if you need the commas or not, but that'll show all locations on the map with fast travel as well. "tmm 1 0 0" or "tmm 1,0,0" will show all locations, but without fast travel
  8. I'm not sure exactly, I haven't really tried it out yet. But from the screen shots it look like it can edit weapon values, and which model is used. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes5Mod:SkyEdit http://images.uesp.net/thumb/8/8d/SkyEditv0.0.1a.png/800px-SkyEditv0.0.1a.png
  9. I know there's a program out called "skyedit" that has limited editing functions(mostly weapons and spells), but I don't think it can edit races as of yet.
  10. I think I've read about this somewhere, you might need to move into aela's house(if that's possible) and sleep in that bed for 1 night, then you can move into another house.
  11. If there's one thing scarier than a werewolf... it's a wereshark.
  12. Ah, I'll have to check that, I hope it's not a faulty card, the computer is brand new(from digital storm). But I'm thinking it's is more of a software problem, not hardware, because it doesn't really happen randomly or after a certain amount of game play time, but only in areas of the game that have little in-game lighting. I know this because if I equip my character with a torch, then the screen dimming doesn't happen. So far, torches have been my main work-around for this problem  I'm not sure, I haven't touched the nvidia control panel since I got the computer, and not after a did a clean install of the drivers(including the control panel) yesterday either, but that sounds possible.
  13. Nah, I don't think it's that because the hud vanishes with the crosshairs. What I mean by screen goes black, is totally black, like the monitor is turned off. No light gradients or color gradients, nothing. It's like once the illumination on screen goes below a certain point, the monitor turns off. Only, the monitor is still on. Its kinda weird, and it also happens in Mass Effect 1-2 and Battlefield 3.
  14. Not anymore! Not sure how's it's done exactly, but there's a pre-ck tool out called SkyEdit, which has limited capabilities. Also, there's a few video tutorials on how to import weapon meshes into skyrim, do a search in this forum and in the mod files section of skyrimnexus as well. Good Luck!
