  1. thanks!! it was ati beta drivers 12.7... installed 12.6 and its back to normal.
  2. I don't know what happened but all of a sudden my health bar is stuck at max even when I'm getting hit... my green stamina moves all the way to the right when its going down (not confined to the hud lines) and my level meter is stuck at full, but shows changes when I press start and look at the level menu.. what the hell?
  3. When I run around I have no other audio problems except for when running by an NPC and they start talking to me, I will always miss one word of what they're saying.. it just cuts out. I've tried both 5.1 and 7.1 and no fix.. I don't remember this happening before the newest update, and I'm on a clean install without USP. Any ideas?
  4. This happened to me yesterday. Turning AA off in skyrimlauncher and forcing it through ATI catalyst manager fixed it for me.
  5. That there is no real in game error.. even the Papyrus logs dont show a cause half the time.

  7. that is what is so disheartening here... i read every single mod authors instructions and stick to nexus only minus a couple of workshop exclusives (armor, music replacer) that wouldnt have anything to do with CTDs. Will report back tonight after more testing.
  8. Yup that is what its come down to.. I have a feeling its something to do with monster mod/deadly dragons/claralux/skytest... most of my other mods dont modify the game like these do.. what do you think?
  9. Heres something I tried.. I did a clean install of the game with no mods, and decided to load up my previous save (only level 5) with the flying broomstick mod... Im using that as a CTD test because I can cover a lot of the map quickly.. I was able to fly around for about 10 minutes and I thought I was in the clear but then got a CTD near Whiterun.. so it MUST be something in my old save... Any way of finding what it was? I did not uninstall/reinstall a lot of mods... like I said it was a clean install and fresh install of mods
  10. i have reinstalled for the THIRD time... this is the games last chance.. i checked every single mod for compatibility on forums threads, and uninstall using correct procedures..
  11. at this point im spending more time troubleshooting than playing.. i regret giving them my money.
  12. the ones that are unrecognised i just leave at the bottom as is.. i have tried disabling claralux(my only lighting mod) and it still crashes
  13. This is a brand new installation, brand new game... none of my mods *should* conflict and have been careful with overwriting etc.. Here is a mod list

  15. I reinstalled the game with just the hd texture pack and new update (NOT A SINGLE MOD) and this is still happening. How can I find out what is causing it in my old save?
  16. So since the update, if i go to a smithing area and press "A" to start, my guy just stands there. Something is not triggering the animation so i cant smith or use a grindstone anymore... any ideas what is causing this? Thanks

Update(although it seems like no one cares) I installed the lore friendly replacer for skyrim monster mod that also removes the dragons for better compatibility with deadly dragons, and while I no longer get the CTD, the first time I went to the town to collect the ore sample, the buildings disappeared. I saw a door out in the open but no building connected to it. I restarted the game and the buildings came back, but when I tried to enter the mine to clear out the spiders the game froze on a loading screen.. What is wrong with this part of the map!? I don't have the problems anywhere else.
  18. wow... looks like it was skyrim monster mod, but not the main mod. it was the lore friendly replacer.. i uninstalled it and just loaded the save 3x, ran around the area, and killed a bunch of creatures.. no crash
  19. you can use both at the same time. it doesnt matter if you overwrite or not because they are the exact same files...
  20. I actually did my first 31 day sleep the night before I discovered this crash and also tried with skymomod disabled... I will try both again to be sure and report back.. Thanks for answering though.
