Hello!I've been playing a pretty heavily modded Steam Oblivion with OBSE, through Mod Organizer 2, for months now, and after implementing the "force load libraries" workaround, it's been great.That being said, I want to run the construction set through MO2, so I can edit a couple of my mods. However, any time I try to run the CS, it won't start. MO2 will give me the usual "MO is locked while executable is running" or whatever for about a second, then it disappears and nothing happens. I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the CS, twice. I previously had CS Extender installed, so I removed that - but the problem persists. Running the CS outside of MO2 works, but since it isn't being run in the VFS, I don't have access to any of my installed mods, which is the goal. Also, I always run MO2 as an administrator. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated!
  2. Hello, Finally decided to retry making a companion, following the tutorial for a really simple companion over on the CSwiki. Everything seemed to go fine from a creation perspective, scripts compiled fine, etc. Well, i used a custom race to make the companion, the Anwolf race. This mod is solely for personal use, I have no intention of releasing it on Nexus and violating copyright. I put the companion in the waterfront, loaded the game, and for some reason whenever I travel to the waterfront the game crashes. Is this due to the custom race? If so, what's the proper way to make a companion using a custom race? Thank you for any help.

So I guess I'll start off with the statement that my Skyrim is modded, heavily; however, I've had this specific bug since before I even began modding the game, when it came out in 2011, and I've seen other people with the issue too. When I click on an animal follower, modded or not, there is no follow option. I run UFO and MyHomeisYourHome, so I get those dialogue options like "You know..." or "Let's talk about home" from those mods, but no option to follow me. And this happens with regular animals like Meeko, or modded animals like Teyahven the rabbit. After console commands I once got Teyahven to open the dialogue tree, as well as Fenrir the wolf, so modded animals seem to be easier to fix. Meeko however....Is causing me lots of grief. Now I wouldn't put it past a mod to be causing the issue. I'm kind of a neat freak, so I keep all of my programs updated and keep my LOOT updated, as well as my load order. Here are some things I've tried that did not work. - Uninstalled UFO and did clean install step by step. - Console commands. Setrelationshiprank, addfac, enable/disable, kill/resurrect, set playeranimal/followercount to 0. I've done each of these many times. - Messed with my load order. I made a rule in LOOT to load UFO after all of my follower mods. - Tried playing my save without UFO and/or without MeekoReborn. Neither of these worked, at once or separately. - Tried putting MeekoReborn to load after UFO. - Tried putting MeekoReborn to load after everything except xpmse and DynDOLOD. I'm at a loss here. I guess my next assumption would be to say it's conflicting with a specific mod, maybe VigilanceReborn runs the same scripts as MeekoReborn and cancels them out?? I don't have a damn clue. I've been at this for two days. I would appreciate it if somebody had any idea what to do here. I'll post my load order.
  4. SOLVED: After some looking through the comments, this is an already known issue between an optional plugin of RealVision ENB (Enhanced torches and fire for ELFX) and ELFX. I just removed the optional plugin and the issue disappeared.
  5. On this episode of "what the hell is wrong with my Skyrim" - Shadow bugs! So far it seems to only be in this spot but as my house is a short walk away from Whiterun, I come through this spot very often. I would typically overlook the issue, but when my camera looks at the choppy mess of black I start lagging so bad I might as well be crawling. The shadows in this spot are really strange not just because they look terrible and like some plague on NPC faces, and the fact that they're totally black and cloak anything they're on, but because they slide around. The entire shadow spot slides and jerks around for no damn reason that I can see.   6. I'm having the same issue as above, even with a vanilla game I can't use large texture size without frozen loading screen or CTD at the end of a loadbar. I'm using Oblivion Reloaded (I wanted to use OBGE with ENB and got more than I bargained for) and I mean, with textures on medium size it seems okay. But turning it up to large is required, as stated in the description. But it just refuses to work and I followed the installation instructions to the letter. You mentioned that Memory Purger Extended is integrated into OR, and my Oblivion still isn't letting me use large textures. I'm using an AMD Radeon R9 200 series and 16.0 GB of RAM. I'll put my LO below in a spoiler, in case that's any help. Also KA_dachshund is my own mod, it's just a companion so I don't think that would be relevant. EDIT: I used the 4GB RAM patch and although it did allow me to load my save, the world is an empty gray space and when I open my inventory my character has no animation another than blinking.
  7. I just downloaded the Skyrim DLCs so I needed to re-do my graphics mods (Extreme storms, RLO, Realvision ENB, Climates of Tamriel, etc). I've re-done this process many a time before so I didn't expect anything to really be wrong this time around. Well I install everything and all I have left is to install Realvision ENB with NMM. Okay, I've done it before. Many times. Shouldn't be a problem. Well it starts "unpacking" and then within three seconds says "A problem occurred during install: " Okay...What problem? It doesn't say. But I have tried numerous times to install it and within a few seconds it always gives me that message. I'm assuming it's a bug, I just updated NMM before this whole process so I wonder if it's something wrong with NMM? I don't care, I just want things to work. Thanks for any help. EDIT: Okay I clicked on the red button next to Progress and it gave me this message: "A problem occurred during install: The execution has failed due to the bug in SevenZipSharp. Please report about it to (link), post the release number and attach the archive. The mod was not installed." Edit again; it randomly worked. After five days of not working, the one day I post about it, it decides to work. ****.

  9. It seems to happen at random. I can go through a whole dungeon just fine. It also never happens in the gameworld, just cells. There are times when I kill something, no matter what it is, it will crash. This has been going on for months and I've dealt with it but now it's getting more than aggravating. Sometimes there will be a group of five enemies and it doesn't crash until the last one is killed. Sometimes I reboot, kill those five enemies again and it works fine. I've tried killing enemies with the console command "kill" and that will save me sometimes. But other times it crashes anyway. If I save in the middle of an enemy's death it will still crash but when I reboot it will be fine. These are just the tests I have done...I have a papyrus log, but I'm not sure how to understand it. I try to keep everything as clean and stable as possible - I run LOOT all the time, I clean my ITM records, etc. I can't possibly think what could be wrong. If anybody can help it'd be greatly appreciated, I don't want to have to wipe out an entire dungeon with the console. That's pretty immersion-breaking. :dry:
  10. My CS was fine for a while, then I booted it up and no matter what mod I load (even just the Oblivion.esm) it gives me this message: "Chunk REFR abnormally terminated TESObjectREFR::Load." And then when I try to proceed, it crashes. Anybody got any ideas?
  11. Well I figured out the issue with Steam. I let my dad borrow the Anthology when I first got it and when he was done uninstalled it. I didn't realize steam codes were an activate-only-once thing and it slipped my mind. I can still play without registering though. Wow okay, so normally it gives me the prompt mid-way through installing the Meshes.bsa. It's gotten past that though and seems to be fine. I'll post again if it comes back up. Well I did absolutely nothing but it suddenly decided to work lol. Thanks for the help, sorry for wasting your time :pinch:
  12. Well it's not resolved I don't think. And it shouldn't be a Steam issue I just didn't know if that information was necessary. Should I copy the data3.cab from the Si + KotN disk to my main disk?
  13. Actually data3.cab is on my DLC disk for Anthology as well as my DLC disk for my old GOTY. I didn't register the Anthology on Steam, I was having trouble with it - whenever I tried to activate the code it told the that another account already registered the game even though I only had ever used it to install Arena at that time and never touched steam with it. Somehow I installed all of the Anthology games without a key or steam registration - I just popped it in and installed :mellow:
  14. Two. Same goes for my GOTY edition. One for the game and the other for KotN and SI.
  15. Alright long story. So I have two drives on my computer that I just bought and one of them is full so I decided to move my giant Oblivion and Skyrim games off my disc with a few gigs to the one with a terrabyte to give the poor thing a break. Well I uninstalled Oblivion and popped the disk back in to re-install it. I have the Anthology edition by the way. Well I get through the wizard fine - specifying the new location on my D drive and clicking install. A few seconds after the installer starts going through the motions I get a pop up: "Please insert disc 0 that contains the file data3.cab" then provides a bar where I'm supposed to specify a disc. I have NEVER in all my years had this issue. Even before the Anthology edition came out I had the GOTY edition. They always installed fine. Well just now I checked my Anthology disc and there isn't even a data3.cab file in the damned thing! I tried browsing inside the disc on my laptop for both the old GOTY version AND my Anthology edition. So long story short - no matter what edition and what computer - there is no sign of any existence of a data3.cab file. Does anybody have any idea what's wrong? If so can you either just provide me with the file or something? I have no idea. Like I said I've never had this issue in all my years of uninstalling and re-installing the game.
