  1. I want to give vex's face to another recruitable npc so i can have a follower that at least looks like vex. Sofar i tried to go into the mesh and texture folders and made a copy of vex's NIF and DDS file, and renamed it to the ID of the npc i want to replace, and replace the NIF and DDS file of the said npc's id. But the result is a vanilla head without texture, and the hair apparently didnt change either. So what are the necessary steps to achieve the goal?
  2. I was testing random things in outfit studio, i tried to experiment with partition and added clothes to amulets. later i wanted to reset them by simply deleting all the clothes parts in the editor and rebuild the amulet file, ever since then, the body became invisible, only the head, arm/leg armors and weapons are visible. copying over the original sliderData files from my backup folder wont even help. Edit: I just realized not only the ones i have tinkered on are affected, all amulets in the game will turn body invisible now. no idea what file i have to restore to fix that...
  3. sadly that didnt work, i already attempted that once, deleting the farm clothes in the mesh folder and the outfit studio still acts like nothing changed.
  4. First of all, I started using bodyslider and outfit studio just in less than a week ago, so im really not experienced. I tried to remove a part of farm cloth to make it show more skin, instead it created a empty invisible gap, and now i cant get the original file back, reinstall the game, or the CBBE mod both did nothing. so my questions are: 1) how to bring back the original CBBE vanilla farm clothes 2) how to actually do it right - how to properly create a new outfit using vanilla ones - do i overwrite them or give them a new filename? will the game still load them if given new filename? - how to remove piece of cloth and have it show skin underneath instead of invisible gap?
  5. Thank you so much for the reply. I guess i have this major misunderstanding that all these bodysliders, CBBE etc will affect the custom followers (since im really only using follower mods and dont plan to mod my own character) i was troubled that when i give them vanilla armors, their body become vanilla again, which makes me wonder how did others take screenshots of them in outfits that didnt even came with the mod. which is why i first downloaded + installed the follower, then later after some more looking around, installed bodyslider and preset mods, which didnt change anything apparently, so i got confused and started to tinker with the deploy order of the mods, and now my followers are just gone (plus the issue that if 2 different stand-alone followers can be find at same location, only one will be present)
  6. So i just got myself skyrim yesterday, special edition, but i been watching some mod reviews on youtube here and there for years so once i got the game, i came here immediately and grabbed me some mods that i always wanted to try mainly follower mods, but im confused by all these terminologies like bodyslider, preset, CBBE, and all that, and i kinda feel like my follower mods havent been properly installed i have installed the mod manager, can someone explain those terms to me and how to properly install them in a simple way that a total newbie like me could understand? (i installed maybe 7 or 8 followers, some of them can be found in the same area, but i can always only encounter one in such case)
  7. First time downloading mod from nexus, and i have no idea what to do with the files i downloaded. I have been using GECK alot for fallout 3 and new vegas, mainly to edit some values from recipes, weapons and armors. Sofar i would like to try it without using the mod manager. So the mods i downloaded were zip files, i unzipped them and each of them has a .esp file plus texture and mesh folder, i assume i just put the .esp files in the data folder where my other .esp are also at. But what do i do with the texture/mesh folders?
  8. I set the meleedamage of all followers to 5000, turning them into real killers in melee combat. but "setav unarmeddamage" and "setav meleedamage" don't work for dogmeat. anyone knows which value affects dogmeat's damage?
  9. Hi guys, I just want to ask if there are console commands such as "player.setav meleedamage" or "player.setav unarmeddamage" for other weapon types. I have set both values to 9000, just like the damage of the instant kill magnum. And I enjoyed watching super mutants got sent into the air from my uppercut. Looks much cooler than just getting shot. It would be nice if the player can also modify every weapons type, not only melee and unarmed. Do thses commands exist?
