You can turn off automatic updates. -right-click on the game -go to properties -click the update tab -turn off automatic updates. I want you to go test your theory here, cause that exactly what it is. Go in do your instructions, then save exit out shut your computer off and go back in and see if you solution worked, Get back to me. The funny thing is, many indie game makers have asked pirates what they could do to get them to stop pirating their games, and one of the top responses is always "put the game on steam" Steam does better then just about every other game store/services in Russia which is known for its absurdly high level of piracy. This is true Russia does pirate a lot, try china though they are responsible for pirating over 80% of the worlds goods! Yeah Russia ain't got nothing on them. But thanks for the point though, well taken.

I'd say you spent over 1500 dollars too much. Actually I built it myself and its pretty Bad ass.

I'll throw my two cents in here, well with inflation it should be 30 cents, different issue. Yes I am having crashing probelms as well. Hell I totally started with a new fresh NMM, Steam and Skyrim and still crashing WITH no mods. Its the update.

Same boat, getting answers is hard. The forum has to scrabble every time a patch comes out. I am playing in offline mode for now on.

I bought my system specifically for this game. I spent over 2500 dollars on it. The game has huge potential. Steam is a good platform, until they took away MY choice on whether to upgrade. If you looked at every game before this, gamers updated the old way. If you had a problem with the new update, you went back to the old one. Can't do that now. MY BEEF IS, THE FORCED UPDATE, THAT KEEPS ME FROM PLAYING, TILL THEY IRON IT OUT. This is all about control, to force the dishonest into buying the game. I have been a faithful customer for years and always buy their games. Now I get bent over for the criminals who don't do it right. I understand they are protecting their hard work, but they can do it better than this.

Let me put it this way. I wouldn't care one bit about the updates " IF " STEAM would allow me to turn off updates automatically. I feel like I live in China, with them saying, if your online you MUST update. Yeah, *ban me*! I learned my lesson next time if a game is linked to steam like this, NOT buying it. I talked to Steam about this, got blown off. Well I am a person that if you *ban me* off after paying for a lot of games from you, I wont buy nothing from you ever again. I don't support idiots. Its really Steam that is annoying me.

If you include trouble shooting I am around 550 hours, game playing 250. Yeah I hate updates. Steam forces you. I hope Bethesda takes a hard lesson and not link with them next time.

I am to the point of not playing this game anymore. I spend more time trouble shooting than I do playing the damn game. Steam wont let you not update, to protect yourself. If you want the updated mod files off of steam workshop, you have to log in forcing you to update. I went to offline mode now and Damn that steam workshop, I gave it a go. I'll stick with Nexus tried and true. Now the game is updated and having all kinds of crashing problems. uuugggghhh.

Well I tried to reinstall with no effect so I am going to uninstall Boss. If that don't Wont I will uninstall nexus mod manager.

Wow your a mind reader that is exactly what happened. I am thinking of uninstalling boss and reinstalling it. what do you think?

So on start up it crashes and I get a trace log of 20120302220829. Any Idea what this is?

Ok, I found it. It was wars of Skyrim. That stopped the CTD now I am having random loading screen freezes when entering new buildings.

Good evening everyone! I have been at this for 2 days now, ever since the Nvidia's patch 295.73 came out and now Skyrim's update on top of that. I feel like I am getting a little out of my league trying to solve this, so I am asking for some expert help. First I am running Windows 7 pro 64 bit. I will add a pic of specs. I do have my game heavily modded as well. How ever I did not have any problems prior to update. I keep CTD every time, just outside of Whiterun, looking at the mountain and farm owned by the Gray manes or other family. Any help on what to change would be really helpful. Specs Below :)

I would first like to thank anyone who takes the time to help address this problem. I don't know if it is a conflict, a bug or whatever. I would like to talk about it before running to the Modder saying I think your mod has a bug. So now down to business. I use FOMM and FNVEDIT and have a Merge Patch. I have watched all of Gopher's videos (they are awesome), which I must say all NOOBs should watch these before running in here, and say help me please without trying to fix it themselves first. Empower yourself people, don't run around with your hand out all the time. (My little rant Sorry). I have a high end system so that is not the issue. Well I just walked out of Docs house (brand new start) and go to whip out my 10mm weathered pistol (to shout that crow that everyone kills first LOL) :thumbsup: I get a message from Weapon Mod Menu saying that that weapon can not be modded and it can fix it hit enter. No sweat. I go to change out weapons and my fist come out. :wallbash: Odd I tried all the weapons I had same thing. So the bug doesn't start till you pull out a weapon that initiates it. I did it with the broad machete as well same problem. So it is not just the 10mm. I ran through a couple times with other weapons and they change out fine until you get the bad weapon that causes it. Now I ran through FOMM and reactivate a lot of suspect FOMODs and same issue.
