Changing an NPC's race

Thank you very much, I was beginning to doubt I'd get any help. -
Probably a noob question that's been answered before, but I've not been able to find an answer anywhere. How can I change the race of a downloaded companion to another downloaded race in the GECK? I can't load both files at once, so I can't figure it out.
