  1. I don't post much on the forums and I hope me just speaking a thought doesn't get my lifetime membership messed with. Basically I was reading on social media about how nexus basically said something to the regard of if you don't like what nexus allows go somewhere else. This angered me quite a bit, let me explain. So I have a lifetime membership which wasn't free, I had to pay for it... at the time I felt I was investing in nexus mods for what it was at the time as THE game mod website. So fast forward to recently, I didn't care for the way that nexus has been pushing creators away in many of their practices such as the program that bundled mods together(It rightfully upset many CREATORS). This was the first time I thought wow nexus doesn't care about the people WHO MAKE THE MODS because they basically said deal with it then. I'm not a creator on here so why does that make me mad? because I love the mods I get here and the fact that some very prominent mod authors stop using nexus at that time really bothered me, some of those mods I used... now I had to go somewhere else to get them. Okay so I really didn't say anything at that time but I really felt it was an incredibly foolish business decision considering I assume nexus likes to make money and not lose traffic. So come to now when I read that they said (paraphrasing) we will do what ever we want. I feel that nexus needs to be a little more open to the mods they host (have adult restrictions) but be more concerned with what the backbone of the community says IE the mod authors. I honestly don't know what I would do if my membership was affected by speaking my mind but... nexus mods needs to think about what their actions affect when they not only say things that tell people to go else where does but to restrict mods that honestly I don't think I would use but it is really sad to ban mods that speak a political mindset. I think banding quite literally harmless mods that if you don't like them or want to use them... well you as a downloader you most likely won't use them. IF I did want nexus to be my one stop shop, nexus is actively making so that they will never be that. Honestly it makes me think that with practices like this my investment at the time feels like it doesn't even matter and very dainty folk are running nexus that are either afraid of standing up or are allowing their own political feelings play into how they run things, with very little concern how the people who have given them money actually feel. Sorry if my writing is a bit poor right now I am having some issues with my eyes reading through is difficult to check for bad grammar.
  2. I was thinking while brawling in skyrim, I noticed there is not much to the unarmed combat. No special step right attack, no special left step attack, and back and forward. Seeing as how one hand and two hand do have these "special moves" it seems the mechanic is there just practically not used if at all on unarmed. MY question is this . . . If the animations were available could they be simply put in place or is there serious rework needed? I've never looked into this so I was curious if someone knew if it was a simple swap animations or does unarmed not have those "special moves" slots set up, so then my thought we be unarmed would need to mimic or have script made to do a side punch, backwards punch, and so on. My perception of unarmed right now is light punch left and right, Heavy punch left and right, and double heavy punch. The power attack seem to have some movement built in or maybe they actually have a forward move. It just all looks so similar and the camera kinda being funny in first person. Wasn't there a hand palm in oblivion? and a couple other variations ? I think you unlocked them from being taught by an npc. A cordial response would be awesome!
  3. so i have tried vortex and have gotten everything ported over from NMM. I have followed the directions in the FAQ to set up SKSE64 for Skyrim special ed. and it "seems to work(deploys skse launcher with the skyrim exe)" but using the button to "play" skse64 or setting it as the primary it launches the games normally through the games regular launcher. BUT if i open the game file and run as admin on the skse64 exe that vortex inserted it will run with skse64 . . . so to me it seems everything is set up right but there is some sort of permission issue. Thoughts? ideas? I can make due but i like to make sure everything is working as designed rather than "ghetto style" Also all mods seem to be fine and when skse runs all mods look to be exactly the way i had them through NMM
  4. I started up my game after taking a small break and very quickly noticed I couldn't look left or right on a horse mainly the issue when I have the bow out. I'm locked into facing forward and when I fire the bow it shoots randomly to the left. Any ideas I had custom camera on and tried running without and that didn't seem to be the issue. I have archery overhaul on could that be messed up? <added> I found that my camera is changed to the horse and not my player. If I get off my horse the camera will stay with the horse and not follow the player.
  5. I am running a LOT of texture mods and follower mods, as well as FNIS, sky ui and more I have had surpising no issues except for this one quest my game runs perfect but when I leave from getting the jagged crown (going outside the main door) I get CTD. I loaded a older save and everything is fine but i fear trying to complete the main quest line is screwed. Does anyone have any clue why I am only having a issue with this quest? I use MO and I tried disable all the mods i could to see if I could get out but to no avail the only things I couldn't disable were the unoffical patches(which cause CTD if I disable).
