  1. I can tell you now that you best be familiar with the mod for Medieval 2:Total War first. You know which one I'm talking about, right? Sure you do. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=421448 http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=549472 Well. . . it has recently come to my attention that some of them are interested in a Mount and Blade : Warband version of the mod. Of course, the original mod creator is WAY too busy to start learning how to mod M&B. So, make of this what you will. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=551226&page=11 http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=572464 I'm not personally requesting it, but some others are. And let me straighten one thing out before anyone takes the project-if you want to do all the works-races, items, factions, the map, differing religions, etc. . . you are going to have a LONG project ahead of you.
  2. 'Scuse me, are we allowed a small amount (more than one, less than four-five) characters? I assume some people have made characters with close relations-like my Argonian brothers Mire and Knoll. I'd assume that some people will have Child-Parent Brother-Sister Husband-Wife and other kinds of relationships. Maybe some people have their own little groupof characters, like a caravan. I'm just wondering if, within reason, you'd allow more than one character-per person when appropriate?
  3. I've a few questions... Do mudcrabs need a spell casting animation to use spells, or can they work without? If they need it, how easy would it be for someone to implement these animations? For that matter, woould it be possible to give a mudcrab SHOUTS? The A. I., can it use use UNRELENTING FORCE, ELEMENTAL FURY, and ANIMAL ALLEGIENCE correctly?
  4. I am 100% sure you can get kill moves in the middle of battle-I've done it, and had it done to me by npc's. A bounty hunter and I were fighting a bandit chief who went and decapitated the hunter right off the bat, despite the fact I was closer to her. She then decapitated me. Second time around, though, I brought friends. Lots. If I remember correctly, I got a kill cam while being pelted by arrows and slashed by some guy with a sword-but Lydia cleared that guy after he stabbed me. I really don't think the kill cam is restricted to the last person... although I DO seem invincible while using the kill cam-I hadn't lost any health from the attacks while I was mid kill cam. However, I don't think that rule applies to npc's-they can still be hurt during kill cam, they just seem a bit more resistant to damage, from what I've seen.
  5. Hm... While all the work needed for cryodill is immense, one thing is partly taken care of already. Namely, large parts of tamriel can already be seen and explored with No clip. Land that can't be seen without no clip. It exists for SOME reason-cut feature, DLC, or for the modders to use. We're not sure, but something is already there, and landscape can be a PAIN to do...
  6. They are all BAT files, interesting... but am I supposed to run them during game... or will they be run automatically via script? I wonder....
  7. Ah boy... streaming the mods to someone who doesn't have em? Erm... well, my computer can run skyrim perfectly, but internet is where you have me with my pants down. The server itself will do the streaming, correct? Kind of like in Team Fortress Two, when you join a server with custom sounds and models-V.S. Saxton Hale comes to mind-and before you can join, you have to wait for it to finish downloading. Right? Or did I totally miss your knee? Stupid arrows.
  8. Very, very interesting indeed. If I may ask, sirs, how does our view of the other player currently look? Is it like online, where they are an armor-less prisoner dragon-born? Just curious if you've made any progress, if not, no need to bother. Looks like this might make for an crazy let's play, though. Hm...
  9. Ahem, from my knowledge, almost all dwemer disappeared because they were fiddling with the very heart of LORKHAN himself... you know, the Aedra who's rotting-and-regenerating corpse is now the two moons-Masser and Secunda-you see in the sky? Anyways, the Dwemer Engineer/High priest Kargrenac Made three tools to manipulate the heart-keening, sunder, and wraithguard-and was trying to reach divinity with it when the Chimer came. Chimer were what the Dunmer once were, before they were cursed by Azura. As for what happened when they came, accounts differ as to whether the Chimer forced them to use the heart, or they used if of their own accord. Considering the power of their centurions around this time, along-side some really basic military tactics and info, I'd assume it must have been a pretty good surprise attack, or else the Dwemer were already in decline. Either way, once they messed with the Heart using the 3 artifacts and the ritual, all Dewmer on Nirn, the Mortal plane, disappeared. This all happened first era. Skyrim occurs in the fourth era, and is at least 200 years after Oblivion, which happened in the third era. Dagoth Ur and the Tribunal survived by using the heart to attain basic god-hood, and thus survived so long. The one dwemer who is still around and using a spider base for legs was on another plane of existance when the whole disappearance happened, and has survived because of corpus, where one does not die of age in exchange for being a living, rotting corpse.
  10. Hm... did anyone get the DL? If you did, can someone pm me the file? Sad to say I missed out... hey... if you don't mind me asking, what was this... "misunderstanding," anyway?
  11. Ah, thank you. I'm glad you thought of something like that, (thief, warrior, thief, mage, thief, centurion.) I simply thought people liked dragons too much. Hm... what else besides that... um... personally, I wouldn't mind having those dwemer command sphere around me, instead of a centurion. Their crossbows look nice, and having ranged support over melee support reassures me as to its survivability in combat. That, and I'll stop wasting arrows on moving dragons, since they seem to 180 whenever I lead them with my bow. Either that, or my arrows are traitors. >_> Oh, and those little spiders. They look... weak in combat, but they'd create a nice distraction if you mass produced them. That, and they look like natural lockpickers and leverpullers, and I guess they could carry some weight to. More mundane, but still a good utility.
  12. Erm, I'd suggest the site http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_Wiki instead. Its where I got my morrowind info. Of course, skyrim also has the dwemer museum in markath, which I will check out later.
  13. Dwemer means Deep Elves. The perfix Mer refers to being descended of the elves. They are called dwarves because Giants thought they were small... but everything is small to giants. They were no shorter than humans, or else we'd have a hard time fitting in their armor. I agree though, the spider dude looks weird, but he has corpus, remember? The Dwemer were first era elves, having a storied past with the Chimer-now the dunmer- the falmer, or snow elves, and the ancient nords. Eventually, the Chimer formed a truce with the dwemer against the nords, but religious divisions later changed that... Okay, truce may be a bit broad. Chimer armies couldn't stand up to powerful Dwemer centurions and heavy armor. Have you read the Ancient Tales of the Dwemer, especially volume four, the Chimarvamidium? The Dwemer really didn't get on the aedra and deadra's good side. Being very skeptical of the the 'dra's godhood, they got into quite a bit of trouble with them, Azura especially. Indeed, the Dwemer felt that they could achieve godhood, considering they used the heart of Lorkhan, the divine who tricked (or convinced) the Aedra into creating the world. Out of anger, the Aedra ripped out his heart, and his remains became the two moons. I have more, if you so care. Oh, and by the way, the Dwemer are the reason the Falmer are how they are now-sniveling, blind, ravenous, surface hating creatures. Edit:Oh, and before someone asks, Orcs are Orsimer, Dark elves are Dunmer, and previously the Chimer, or changed elves, High elves are Altmer, Wood elves are Bosmer, etc...
  14. Lets play as the Dwemer. Yes, I said it. Play as a Dwemer. Yes, I know. They are gone. Disappeared. Vanished. All that remains are their ruins. But that has never stopped us before... and there... is one Dwemer, as you all know, who has corpus, and is thus immortal. The reason he didn't disapear was because he was apparently not on the mortal plane at the time of the ... incident. So if you care for a lackluster excuse which has no weight, then you are also a Dwemer who was in another plane during that event. Alternatively, the event did not transfer dwemer to a different plane but a different time. Yes, I'm serious. Its simple enough, compared to some things, right? Most likely, for stats, you'd have boosts to a mix of Smithing, armor, and some magic and alchemy. If they needed a power, then why not a power which creates a powerful Automaton to fight for you, right?
  15. Hmph... I had intended to remedy this since I saw that leaked play through by ... was it mangg? Or is it spelled manng? Anyways, listen, you don't SIMPLY get a bear claw from a bear. You don't simply throw away the rest of the fish. There is a commodity market for some of the strangest things, and a lot of scrap can amount to something. What I mean is... more stuff from hunting. Salmon scales, fish head, fins, bear teeth, claws, spider fangs, dragon teeth, hunting isn't simple, and if you honestly live on hunting, if your life is hunting, you make use of EVERYTHING that is usable. Got an animal part you can't eat? Is it still edible to animals? Bait, which means more food. Strong Bones? Sharpen it. You now have a weapon. Organs? They can be delicious nutricious. Bugs? Protein rich, and easy to catch to. ... ... Oh, and I want giant ants. Not those weak ones from New Vegas, I want deadly ants. Ants that can swarm and eat a dragon. Ones that I can take their chitin and make awesome armor. TL:DR: I rambled. Oh, and learn to read. >_> Its 5 lines of relevant info.
  16. I just wanted to know, what do most people, or their affiliates, use for making and modifying models? I'm not very familiar with them myself. Also, does anyone know if the player's mining animation stops before the vein is depleted? I was thinking ahead, and one component of my plans involves an ore vein with quite a bit of ore. Does the player character stop after getting three pieces of ore, like he does after chopping three pieces of wood on the cutting block? Or does it keep going until its depleted. I'd hope not.
  17. I just don't get it. Maybe my copy is bugged beyond repair or something. I did both of those. Nothing changed. Just removed the message and skipped to resetting the launcher. I appreciate the help, but... maybe its just a client side problem.
  18. Well, well. I've officially become stuck between a rock, a hard place, the legendary Deathclaw, and both Legates. My launcher claims FalloutNV wants to make changes to my computer. If I click yes, the launcher... restarts. If I click no, I get the message which basically says that the installer could not be found and the game is not installed... I've done quite a bit of searching on this. I've re-installed, oh, four, five times. Checked the files to make sure there were no remnants. I've tried verifying the files, I've deleted and replaced the .ini, all that stuff. I'm afraid it just won't work. No mods right now. I have all DLC's. I've tried starting with and without them. I have logged more than 100 hours of playtime with New vegas, it used to run perfectly. I can't be the only one experiencing this, can I?
