So I've got the new NMM version, and after some tinkering, I've realized it was a bit of a mistake. I will never use profiles, and its just made such a mess of my install. So I did a full clean reinstall, and now as I'm about to start installing my mods with NMM, I realize I don't understand a few things. For example, let's say I installed an armor mod with NMM. If i made a texture or mesh that I wanted to overwrite from that NMM install, should I put it in the main Skyrim directory? Or In the virtual install? Which filepath is prioritized when you're just dragging and dropping certain things in the main Skyrim install folder? This is a big problem, considering other apps like Bodyslide and WryeBash probably arent looking for a virtual install folder... Any help/tips/advice much appreciated!

I had a similar problem. The whole virtual install thing is such a mess, I wish they'd made it optional, as I often overwrite files over mods injstalled with mod manager, and now I have no diea which filepath the game will prioritize. Anyway, I would suggest a completely clean install of the game and all yoru mods with the new NMM. Best thing to avoid any weird/buggy-ness. :/
