  1. I'm all for mods, I just don't want 90% of every mod in the game to be some sort of nude body replacer or skimpy outfit. I recently reinstalled Oblivion and I started to look through TESnexus for some good mods and I was overwhelmed by how many adult-oriented mods I came across. It's not that I think they shouldn't be allowed to make them, it's just that they seem to have dominated everything else. Either way, Skyrim is going to be great with or without mods in my opinion. I just hope people are actually going to make mods for this installment.
  2. Well, there WAS that Caravan game in Fallout: New Vegas. Maybe Bethesda will do something similar? I'll admit, it would be fun, but it's not going to break the game if it isn't included. I'll just have to go slay more dragons!
  3. Games really don't have to have good graphics to be great. I mean, just look at Minecraft. That was one guy who designed all of that and I'm pretty sure he's a millionaire now.
  4. Oh, I hear you there . . . I don't know how I'm going to wait. Also . . . is it bad that I'm considering taking a year off before attending college, just for this game? I guess it's better than having a kid for it, right? (teehee)
  5. I just recently started noticing that when I played the games (Oblivion, Fallout 3) on the console. It never really stuck out to me on the PC versions of those games. Bethesda has put a lot of work into making the animations blend together, so I can't see why they wouldn't add a diagonal walking animation, but oh I do pray that they do.
  6. I will be happy so long as they add any DLC/Expansion Packs. I thought Shivering Isles was awesome, but I also enjoyed the little things as well. I can see them releasing a combination of both, a lot like they did with Oblivion; a couple large expansions and a few little DLC packs to spruce things up.
  7. I don't think they learned their lesson . . . look at New Vegas, it has a definitive end as well. I do hope that Skyrim doesn't have this type of ending, though. Here's to murdering the denizens of the forest long after the game ends! EDIT: Please excuse my ignorance. I didn't realize New Vegas was developed by someone else, heh heh.
  8. It's good to see I'm not the only one who feels this way! A few days ago some guy I was talking to got more than a little angry with me for making the connection between Beowulf and Skyrim . . . though I'm not sure why . . .
  9. Did anyone else think that the 'High Hrothgar' mountain might be an allusion or reference to Beowulf? Y'know, High Herot, King Hrothgar? This got me wondering . . . what if there was an inn named 'Herot' with an NPC inside named Beowulf (or something very similar) with a sword called 'Hrunting?' This is probably just my literature nerd speaking out, but would anyone else find that entertaining/funny? Also. That was probably the most realistic-looking giant spider I've ever witnessed in a video game. I might actually soil myself if I ever see one in-game. That is all.
  10. That's amazing to hear! If there's anything I can help with, let me know!
  11. Did anyone else find that the Legion was lacking in intimidation, when it came to their armor? I was wondering if it would be at all possible to replace the standard Legion armor with Legate's armor. I know it wouldn't exactly be canon, but maybe some talented modder out there could help me make some textures or models to make it fit. If someone did decide to do this and help (teach, heh heh...) me make custom textures, I was thinking that perhaps the color of the cloth on the armor or the color of the metal could determine rank. The lower-ranking members could even be excluded from this, (to be clear, when I say 'excluded' I mean that they don't get the fancy new armor, they're stuck with the not-so-nice armor) to make it feel a bit more realistic. However, I have been looking around for a mod like this for a while and I don't think I'm ever going to find one. I don't have much modding experience (none, honestly) but I would do whatever I could to help if anyone decides to try to make a mod like this. I would try to do it myself, but I know nothing about the G.E.C.K., or if that is even what you would use to make this sort of mod. If anyone does decide to take up this offer, I would be ecstatic. I'm open for any thoughts and/or suggestions, so please, don't hesitate.
