This wasnt for SKSE itself to work my skse works perfectly fine, this was to get SKSE to work with Vortex because i would get the error popup saying it wasnt found

well basically, do as stated with the SKSE installation (obviously) set SKSEloader.exe to run as admin all the time in the properties, next click Dashboard in Vortex then click Add tool, go to you skyrim directory where skseloader.exe is and add it to vortex next click play under Skseloader.exe from Vortex dashboard and it should work!

I've already had it primary i showed that in my 2nd picture when i created the post i did all of that already @Register Update: nevermind i didnt do the add tool part apologies, its working now thank you!

JOD says it works without starting from vortex so im gonna guess and assume thats how it works and i can just start the game from the SKSE in my folder or like you said make a separate shortcut for it thank you very much for helping me and if i can figure out how ill put a good word about you on your profile JOD as well

Set it to run as admin every time for both vortex and SKSE, still cant find skse.exe for vortex but the game runs if i just started it from the skyrim folder itself so im not sure what else i can do

https://gyazo.com/1024c2b911f46a1c0564b88dce317e33 i decided to not run that in admin because i dont know what that message means, ran SKSE loader.exe from my skyrim folder in admin and it looks like the game loaded up now what im not sure of is if my mods from vortex will work without starting the actual game from vortex?

Well from what ive seen the vortex manager is really nice as far as mod management and its pretty simple to figure things out with it i just cant get past this point which annoyingly is the last part of what all i was trying to do but thats modding in a nutshell for me atleast, im pretty sure vortex would work with skse since it has a button to start skse instead of just skyrim and i installed skse on both vortex and did the data and data/source setup as stated so im not sure what im missing and all of my mods were installed properly and have no conflictions with eachother thankfully vortex gives a notification if something is conflicted with another

@Wasteland, all of my mods have worked perfectly fine in the past im only having issues with Vortex since nexus is not being supported anymore i moved everything to Vortex and SKSE wasnt updated so i had to go update it @HadToRegister, I just tried that and it still has the error popping up and i havent had an issue with that in the past for older versions of SKSE so I didnt think i needed to do it PS. i dont know how to "reply" to comments so im just using @'s. sorry

Side note: for some reason when i install SKSE64 and put the ZIP file into my vortex mod listings and click to install it disappears and is never to be found again dont know if that means its installed and thats all i need to know or what but it still refuses to work :/
