  1. I've been having more problems recently. Cleaning helped a lot initially, but slowly the CTD's have come back, as persistent as ever. No clue why, really. All my mods are cleaned, I've run LOOT a million times, and to my knowledge I've downloaded any appropriate compatibility patches. Is this just the plight of having a ridiculously modded Skyrim? http://i.imgur.com/EtjUE1P.jpg style? I'll post my load order and my papyrus log, hopefully those will be helpful in some way. The papyrus log does show some errors, so that could be promising, I just don't have the knowledge to utilize the information it provides. Load order: Papyrus Log (this is a log of the game starting, getting to the main menu and then crashing just before the options to the bottom right appear.):[01/13/2015 - 09:50:56AM] Papyrus log opened (PC)[01/13/2015 - 09:50:56AM] error: Native function GetUseSound in empty state does not match existing signature on linked type Potion. 2. After suffering from CTD's and instabilities for a while, I discovered that I needed to clean my dirty edits with TES5Edit. Now that I have cleaned the files that LOOT told me to clean my CTD's happen much less frequently. After cleaning Dawnguard.esm, it still had 6 ITM records, which was strange. Unfortunately, a new problem has arisen from the ashes of my old one. Now, some of my mods have stopped working or behave/work differently than they did before. Also, strangely enough, my in-game physics have completely changed. Before, I would need to loot every item from a corpse before I could barely drag it around. Now, I can lift a fully armored body completely above my head and it will spin around comically (similar to the way those skinny, bubble helmeted aliens did in Fallout). Here is my load order (updated): The mod in question (that I have noticed so far) is Immersive Spells and Light (there used to be more, but as far as I can tell they just stopped not working). Immersive Spells and Light no longer has any in-game effect (i.e. no lighting emanating from weapon enchantments or spells), although the mod is successfully installed via NMM and the in-game MCM menu is fully functional. I can notice different lighting effects on my characters first person arms and weapon depending on what spell I have equipped in the other hand, but it no longer lights up the environment. I've tried creating a new save game and re-installing the mod. The physics change has me completely boggled. I have Realistic Ragdolls and Force, and i'm pretty sure SkyRe changes some physics as well, and prior to the cleaning they both seemed to be working. I don't remember what vanilla physics were like, but i'm inclined to believe that that is what I've got in effect right now. I backed up all the esp's before I cleaned them, so I have the dirty and cleaned versions just in case. I can also always validate my game's files via steam to reacquire the dirty Bethesda files, so if I botched the actual cleaning of the files I can always just redo it. Any help or insight would be appreciated.
  3. I've been getting a strange CTD when I load Skyrim with certain mods installed that is not consistent (while I was testing this problem again to accurately describe the details for this forum post, the CTD stopped under certain conditions). Instead of crashing immediately after the Bethesda logo which would signify a load order problem (I've dealt with those before), whenever I include a select few mods into my load order the game will start, play the Bethesda logo, bring up the Skyrim symbol as if it were going to load properly, but then right before it would show the buttons to the right (Continue, new game, etc.) it CTD's. I run LOOT religiously after I change anything to do with my load order, and I've run TES5Edit whenever I've tried to load those mods and it always runs fine, showing no errors. So, after some trial and error, I've had to uncheck a few esp's via the NMM plugin section to be able to run my game properly. The inconsistent part comes in when I try to add a single mod to the load order and it works, then I try to systematically add them all and then it stops working for all of the recently added mods (i.e., I add mod #1, it works, I add mod #2 and then it doesn't work until I remove mod #1 AND mod #2). Because of this I initially thought I just had too many mods. For the most part when I get it to run, it runs fine, but after modding the game so heavily I do suffer from the occasional random, unexplained CTD's that don't repeat themselves in the exact same situation whilst playing the game. Here is my load order (No longer accurate): The mods in question that inconsistently cause problems are "Lost Art of the Blacksmith.esp, Omegard99-Weapon-Sets.esp, Weapons & Armor_DragonPriestMasks.esp, SkyRe_Plugin_JaySuSSwords_1.3D.esp, and DBM_BCS_Patch.esp". DBM_BCS_Patch.esp is the one I've most recently added and managed to keep the game working properly. Edit: It seems that sometimes Skyrim just fails to launch properly with one of those mods loaded. The game will CTD on one attempt, and then if I try again immediately afterwards it might work, it might not. It has become a game of launching SKSE and betting on how many times it will crash before I can play for a while. Surely there's a way I can make it more stable? Edit #2: Apparently I was missing some third-party-esque compatibility patches for those files, excluding DBM_BCS_Patch.esp. Most of my issues have been resolved after downloading those, rendering this post almost entirely useless. Sometimes I will have issues launching Skyrim or loading a save, but after a few tries I can get it to work. I still get completely random CTD's whilst playing though. Only solution has been to save often as far as I can tell. **MORAL OF THE STORY** Check for compatibility patches after downloading mods. Edit #3 (Final Edit): Problem solved (sort of). Apparently you have to clean your mods with TES5Edit. Now that I've cleaned all of Bethesda's dirty edits (in Update, HearthFires, Dawnguard and Dragonborn) and a few of my mods that LOOT said I needed to clean, my CTD's happen significantly less frequently. So, original problem solved. Unfortunately, now some of my mods behave strangely or just don't work at all. So I guess i'll just make a new topic for that issue.
