I have figured out a solution! :) I am not sure whether this mod caused it or if it is just a solution, but download Athletics Training 1.41 from here. (requires SkyUI 3.1+) In game, go to the mod config menu, athletics training, options and DISABLE waterwalking. Ta-da. You can now save and remove this mod if you so desire.

I'm currently using Mod Organizer to, well... organize my mods. I've come across an unusual problem when adding new mods to my current game, and it only happens with certain mods. When adding Ish's Souls to Perks, I will load up my game (which says content is missing as usual) but when my game loads... EVERY setting gets reset and I am missing all mod items. For example: Upon the game loading I get the notification messages from UFO: Horses, Achieve That, Frostfall etc, and all of the settings have been reset. This doesn't happen with all mods. When changing from W.A.T.E.R. to Pure Waters, or adding Warzones, RLO, Enhanced Cities or PerkUp, it says content is missing but doesn't cause this problem upon loading. I have run BOSS, changed load orders, and fixed mods via Tes5Edit but this issue still continues to happen when adding mods. Any help is appreciated.

Turns out it WAS the .ini file. I had a backup of SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini so I replaced them. Game launched flawlessly. I was hoping to start fresh as I have made SO many changes to the .ini file, but I guess this will have to suffice.

I'll try enabling all mods then. Would it matter if they're newer versions?

I recently reinstalled Skyim, added back all my mods, and tried to load my game but it would crash when loading only my most recent saves. Then I realized that I had made changes to my .ini file several times over the course of the game. Besides changing uGridsToLoad, would there be anything else in the .ini that would cause my save games to crash?
