  1. Hello everyone, I'm trying to download some mods but when I try to download via NMM, it just says Error, incompleted. And when I try to download via manual download, it either won't load, or if it does load it will only start downloading after about 1 minute or so, and every mod that gets downloaded this way is corrupted. Every single one. And I read that rar files can get corrupted if there was a problem while it was downloading so, is anyone else having these issues? Is there something wrong with Skyrim's Nexus Mod website? Or is it just me? I confirmed that I can download mods from other webesites just fine. And I was downloading mods from the Nexus earlier this evening just fine, but I first noticed this happening a few hours ago. Please let me know if anyone else is having this issue and if its a problem with the website, or if its a problem on my end somehow. Thanks in advance! ALSO IF you're not having this problem downloading Skyrim Mods from the Nexus like I am then also please let me know that as well. I need to know if there's a problem on my end or on the website's end. Thanks!
  2. Hello everyone, I'm really upset because NMM kept asking me to update it all the time and yesterday I accidentally hit OK and now after it updated all of my mods are broken! When I try to load the game everything is black, models don't load, my presets values won't load and are highlighted all in red, but everything looks fine inside the mod manager itself. I have so many mods, it took me months to create this mod list and get it to where it is, and I have tons of Japanese mods that I won't be able to replace and tons of custom mods I made myself that I won't be able to replace, so I need to try to load my back up of Nexus Mod Manager but I don't remember what version my previous Nexus Mod Manager was. How do I figure out what version of Nexus Mod Manager that back up file was created with? If there isn't a way, will it install properly if I use a different version? Please let me know, I really need to fix this because if I lost my mods I won't be able to play Skyrim ever again all because of an accident! Whoever made Nexus Mod Manager needs to make it to where you can tell the program to never ask you again to update because this is bull crap, updating it just destroys your game so there's no point in ever updating and I don't want to accidentally hit the update button again.

That's why I didn't want to do it just keeps asking me then I accidentally hit ok and it wouldn't let me stop it, and it asked me if I wanted it to uninstall and reinstall all of my mods and I told it no so it said then you have to reinstall the old version, so I tried that and then the program wouldn't work at all so I had to install the latest version and now its killed my game! I have so many Japanese mods that I won't be able to find again, and so many perfect presets that I probably won;t be able to make again and a ton of custom mods that took me forever to make that I won't be able to make again! There's got to be someway to fix this, isn't there? :sad: :sad: :sad:
  4. Guys please, I need some help! I have lots of mods installed, even some I made myself and stupid Nexus Mod Manager keeps asking me to update it and yesterday I accidentally made it update. Everything seemed to reinstall just fine, it took a whole day, and now I just tried it and when I try to start a new game, the whole game is black! The models won't load! And my presets are all screwed up and won't load their settings! Why has this happened?!?! How can I fix this?! Please, if I can't get this fix I might as well uninstall Skyrim and never play again because these mods were so important for my experience while playing Skyrim, it took me months to set it all up the way I had it and it took me months to make my character presets! Please! I need help! :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: Why would the program ask me to update if its' just going to destroy my game!!??
  5. Thank you very much for that. So then I'm thinking that its probably number 2 if not something else. I really hope someone who's made a completely custom armor from scratch, or have imported armors or other meshes from other games into Skyrim can tell me how they got the shader branches to work, especially if they used 3ds max. I've spent so much time on this custom armor, I really hope that this is not going to completely ruin it for me.
  6. Hello everyone, I've been searching for hours and I've found several posts with almost the same issue, but I've tried all the solutions I could find and still nothing worked. I ripped an armor model from TERA Online and I'm trying to import it into Skyrim as a custom armor for my custom stand alone follower. Everything loads ok in NIfskope. But when I try to load it in the creation kit preview window the body mesh shows up, but the armor mesh is invisible with no errors. There are two reasons why I think this might be happening. Please let me know if this is correct and how I can fix these issues, or if its not either of these issues and what else it could be: 1. Under partitions, I know I am supposed to type in 32 (for torso armor) in Nifskope on the bottom entry. But every time I try to, the program automatically replaces the "32" with "SBP_32_BODY". I have no idea why this is happening, could this be the issue? And if so, how can I fix this? 2. Every tutorial I could find for making custom armor with 3ds max says, because when you export nif meshes from 3ds max the shader branch settings do not get exported properly, you're supposed to delete the shader branches in the nif files and replace them with a copied and pasted shader branch from the same, but original and unedited (by 3ds max) vanilla mesh nif file. The problem with this is, in my case, I don't have any original nif file for this armor because it was not originally a Skyrim model, it came straight from TERA. So instead, I tried copying and pasting another custom armor's shader branches that I know works in game instead because I couldn't think of anything else to do because none of the tutorials say what you have to do when working with a completely original mesh. However, people have said this invisible issue could be caused by shader problems in the nif file. But I don't know if the shader branches absolutely HAVE to be from the same mesh shape like they say in the tutorials, but I've looked at other nif files and the settings in their shader branches are all unique. And it would make sense because the body loads fine, but I had the original unedited nif file for the body mesh so I could properly do this with only the body mesh. But if this true, then how can you import brand new original meshes into the game without an original unedited nif file with properly working shader branch settings? Could this even be the problem? And if so, what can I do to fix this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if you need me to upload any photos just let me know. Thanks in advance!
  7. @ Kroekr: It was actually her armor and head gear that was causing her skin and hair not to load properly, not her hair or skin/body. I found that out when I tried taking off all her equipment and saw the skin and hair worked then. So I carefully went over all the texture paths in all the files and entries in the creation kit for her body armor and head gear. I had to go over them several times before I finally found where the faulty texture paths were. And when I corrected it, it was working again! I don't remember exactly where the faulty texture paths were, but it was one of her armor and head gear creation kit entries/objects (whatever those are called) that had the texture paths in them. If you really want to know I'll see if I can figure out where I found them. As for her face model, to get that working again, I just had to re-export it again from Skyrim and into the creation kit like I did when I first made it. I hope that helps!   9. Hello again. These errors I think might have something to do with why her hair and skin texture isn't working properly. But I have no idea what these error messages even mean, so if anyone knows what they mean please let me know. These error messages ONLY show up when I try to load a full body preview of her, but when I try to load just a head preview of her, these error messages do not show up and her hair and skin loads just fine (and I make sure to click on Yes instead of Yes to all to make sure the error messages will keep coming up). They also load just fine when I open up the previews in the hair and body/torso/feet/hands object editors. It's so weird, I have no idea how this could even be possible. And advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong place I'm very new to this forum but I think this is the right place. I've been working on my first mod, a custom stand alone follower. Her name is Yukina, and I think I am going to make her a pure healer/support follower. I'm actually almost done with her, but I've ran into a very unexpected problem. She's basically 98% done all I really need to do is test the way she works. Everything was perfect, she turned out exactly the way I wanted her to look in game so I took a break for awhile. Today I thought I'd finally test her out in game. But when I loaded up a save she was all messed up! For some reason her skin texture, hair, and face model is not loading properly anymore and I have absolutely no idea why. It was working perfectly last time I worked on it. I've been messing around with it in the creation kit for several hours now and I'm completely stumped, everything appears to be exactly the way I left it. All of the individual parts load just fine when previewed in the creation kit, but when I try to preview the full body model in the actor editor, it says body textures are missing among other things. But again, they load just fine in every other object editor in the creation kit as far as I can tell. I have no idea what's wrong because everything looks right. So I was wondering if anyone here who's much more experienced with this could lend me a hand and help me figure out what went wrong? There seems to be only 3 things not working properly, her skin texture, hair model (and perhaps hair texture?) and her face model. She's supposed to look like this: And she did at first, but for some reason now she looks like this: I think there's something wrong with her gloves too but I'm not worried about that right now. If anyone can please take a look at my follower I'd greatly appreciate any help and advice at all! And thanks in advance!   12. Thanks that does help me out a lot. But how can I know if my custom follower is using the same papyrus functions for recruiting and dismissing? I'm really new to modding, so I'm sorry if this is basic knowledge. But I can't seem to find any specific details on how to make sure my custom voiced follower will be fine with UFO. I don't want to spend hours following a tutorial just to have it crash and burn on me in the end if I don't have to. I've already had that happen to me several times now. My follower already took me 4 days to finish what I have done so far, and that's because the first 3 days were nothing but following many different tutorials that did not work out in the end for one reason or another. It was extremely frustrating... Thanks again.
  13. Thanks for the reply. That was one of the tutorials I was going to try, but the first part of the guide says this: "Edit: This guide is getting old now. It should still work, but I strongly suggest you read this addendum (link) before attempting it." And in the "Addendum" section of the guide, it says: "Secondly, be aware that followers made using my guide:May or may not be compatible with mods like Ultimate Follower Overhaul.May or may not be compatible with other mods that add extra followers." I really don't want my follower to have problems with the Ultimate Follower Overhaul mod >_<; I'm really wondering why the custom voiced followers made with these tutorials become incompatible with UFO? More specifically, what exactly is done in the tutorial that causes this incompatibility? I would have thought that anyone wanting to make a custom voiced follower would want it use it with UFO.
  14. Hello everyone, I'm currently working on my first mod, a custom follower. It's all coming out well so far, Its pretty much done except I want to make a custom voice for it. But all of the tutorials I've been able to find for custom follower voices says the follower will become incompatible with the ultimate follower overhaul mod. I use this so naturally I want to use a tutorial that won't cause this incompatibility. Does anyone know of any tutorials to make custom follower voices that won't cause my follower to become incompatible with UFO? Or is it to where all custom voiced followers are incompatible with UFO? Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
  15. I've noticed that the face also resets when I die and I guess that's because it loads my last save when I die. The parts of the face that resets seems to be randomized as well, for example, sometimes the eyes will change but the ears won't. If there was some mod out there that auto loads a preset when I load a saved game that would fix the problem, but does anything like that exist? OR can anyone make something like that? I know I can't be the only one still having this issue. I also noticed that this happens for all custom races. I haven't tried it with a vanilla race but I'm guessing it will happen then as well. I think it has something to do with the show race menu mod...
