  1. Weeellll...that sucks. Be nice if Skyrim could give some more info on what each mod is doing under the hood...at least an overview. Or conflicts, etc. Maybe make the actual program a little more robust since once people add mods, it sorta would only make sense for the game to at least run some sanity checks. :)
  2. Yeah, I ran BOSS. I'll try moving bashed to the end again. As to the "couple" of buildings, it USED to be a couple until Steam Workshop got ahold of it. I normally just use SKSE to load Skyrim. Opened Steam to install the Dawnguard & Hearthfire DLC and stepped away. Never used Workshop to install anything before, so I had "subscribed" to stuff earlier I wanted to look at later not realizing that when they say "subscribe" they really mean "I decided that 'install' mod is too obvious so I'm going to call it 'subscribe' instead." (I've been using NMM to install mods mainly. Do the building mods affect the game when you're not in the cell they modify? The problem I'm having isn't really centralized to say Whiterun, or whatever.
  3. Yeah, I knew about the whole 32 bit 4GB limit thing. I just wasn't sure if commit set counted towards the 4GB. I don't care if the game uses 4GB or more or less. Mainly, I just want the game to stop getting stuck and sitting there displaying the loading screen whenever I leave an interior cell to the world. While it doesn't happen all of the time now, it happens enough that it's very frustrating. :( OH! Also, I cannot load up a "Skyrim" location savefile when starting the game. It gets stuck on the loading screen forever. I first have to load up a save game in which I'm inside a building, then from there, I can load a save game in which I'm outside. Though this also doesn't guarantee that the game doesn't get stuck. I guess I can look into the RAMdisk thing, but I'd rather have the problem go away first. :)
  4. Thanks for the explanation. Here's a list of my mods. I can disable a bunch of them, because they aren't so near and dear to me that I'd choose loading them over my game being flaky. 5. Tell me how it goes. Hey Ash, I tried the plugin. No discernible difference in resource usage that I could see, however transitioning from interior to exterior cells became more unstable.
  6. Which mod cleans memory? I'm running the debloatifier and possessive corpses mods... And I recently tried that SCMO thing too. Game is running now, but still sometimes gets stuck.
  7. Yeah, I wish they would've just made a 64 bit executable. Hopefully with the next gen of consoles coming out they might do that next time. A question, I guess... How does one force the OS stuff (and other programs if possible) to run in high mem? Any guidance or links on how to do so would be appreciated!
  8. I had a new armor mod and weapon mod that I had disabled. Have a couple of mods that added buildings out in the sticks. High resolution texture pack... In any case, I pretty much tried unloading them (and ghosting them so that the engine didn't see them anymore) and even tried reverting the texture pack back to the low resolution console-y textures. No dice. I wonder if some of the mods might've done something bad to the ini files or something.
  9. I had that problem. My savegames were growing by megs each time I'd save, and I was up to more than 120MB savegame files before I figured out what happened in my case. I installed a mod in which I didn't read the description carefully, and the mod just kept spawning more and more NPCs which was causing the bloat. When I disabled the mod, my savegames returned to about 10-12 megs each. More NPCs mod was the culprit: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19892
  10. I had this problem too once I installed Dawnguard. In my case, someone gave me a solution that fixed it: Hi, seems it's a known savegame-bug, caused by Dawnguard. Try open your save with a hexeditor and search for "dlc1playervampirechangescript", change it to "dlc2playervampirechangescript". (backup the save first) Otherwise, if you do not have experience with hexeditors, there's also a fix at the skyrimnexus, just search for "Dawnguard 3rd person Fix"
  11. Sure, no problem. I'm completely stuck in Breezehome. I've tried using the 'coc' console command to load other areas, but to no avail.
  12. I had a question about Skyrim and it's memory caps. It's nice that they made it able to use more than 2GB, but I've been running into some problems with the thing all of a sudden. I don't know if the commit size/paged memory counts towards the memory cap, but my game used to use a max of ~3GB combined working set RAM and committed memory. Without any changes to mods, etc. on my end, all of the sudden it uses 2.5-2.7GB of working set RAM in certain areas, and about 2.2-2.5GB committed memory. The game stalls out when both combined reaches about 4.5GB. Alternatively, I have no idea if it might be some problem with my mods, however nothing changed with the mods and for quite some time it worked just fine. The problem mainly occurs when I go from an interior cell to an exterior one. Anyone have any insights or advice?
  13. I've noticed this on a few dungeon mods I've played... Don't know if it's due to a conflict somewhere or what, but a lot of these things appear to be mannequins that are wearing armor, etc. They "move" in place, especially when trying to aggro on me...so it's rather easy to pick them off one by one. Not fun. And once I've "killed" them, most of them still move around in place and most aren't searchable. Is it possible it might be a conflict with the advanced mannequin mod? Anyone else experience this odd behavior?
  14. Did that. No go. I ended up just taking a good look at the mods active... I had SkyMoMod and morenpcs mod active. I KNOW I disabled morenpcs before, but somehow it turned itself back on. I removed both of those, as well as moregrass mod and immediately, my savegame size went from 125MB -> 18MB. So one of those is the culprit. Probably the morenpcs mod. (The dude who wrote it mentions bloat on the Nexus, but not on Steam Workshop.) Figure I don't need more grass or random npcs/mobs wandering around if it makes my game bloated like that. Some stupid npcs still aren't talking to me. >:(
